As a side point, is it possible to report private messages to the moderator? Yup. Just like Dancer mentioned, forward the post*** to either myself or Greg. However, it is best if you add the username of the spammer. That way we can check to see that we got all of them. If you just forward the message, all we get is the text. The sender of the message is not attached to it. So far, it seems like there have only been two spammers: Crew and Mignulikz If you get spam from a different username, please tell us. ***Check your browser settings to make sure that you have the JavaScript function active. Many of the PM features require JavaScript to work. You can still send and receive PMs without JavaScript, though. However, it is not as easy. For instance, if you want to forward a message to my attention, with JavaScript, all you have to do is type "char" and the rest of my name "Charles Anthony" appears in a drop-down auto-fill list. If there is an other member whose username starts the same way, it will appear in that list too. So, without JavaScript, you can only forward a message if you know precisely the spelling and format of the the username. There are several other helpful things that JavaScript enables too. No but seriously, I watched a documentary the other day about these 'sleeper' viruses that sit in people's computers, just waiting for their next signal. They've even penetrated big corporations and government agencies, which required a team of experts to work on it for weeks continuously before getting it out. New forum members will have to post 5 times before they are given the ability to send PMs, or post new topics. However new members will be able to post replies in existing forum threads. With this new graduated posting method we should be able to cut out most of the spamming that has become a problem over the past few months. Thanks! Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? This will probably just be temporary - just until we can get a handle on everything and make sure this doesn't happen again. Though I forbid myself from visiting the forums from the beginning of September to the end of April, I logged in to my messages when I got the mail notification.
