TerrorStorm: Free movie
GostHacked replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Saying they had not thought of planes crashing into buildings is a bit naive. Or else we would not have beacons on tall structures for planes to actually see and avoid them. So if the possibility of an accident is there, (the reason for the beacons) it can be assumed that someone would purposly fly into them. I'd hope the intelligence services paid to protect us would already have taken this into account. OK not EVERYTHING can be considered, but something major like airliners into buildings, does not seem much of a stretch in the imagination. Civil aircraft are monitored by civilians, and the military. the FAA has a direct link to the military/Pentagon officials and can ask for scrambled jets without much authorization. They do not need any kind of high end approval for these incidents. Since exercises were going on that day, regarding planes flying into buildings. you say it was not considered at all? (Also there were exercises going on in London during the transit bombings) The probability of exercises going on the same day as a terrorist attack (and it skyrockets even more once you take the London bombings into consideration) is way to high to consider a coincidence. -
George Bush has revelation
GostHacked replied to Durgan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hmm margrace, you can do better than that. George Bush is also quoted in saying "God bless," which assumably Jesus did. Is he Jesus too? Actually margrace did a great comparison there. The similarities are the same. You can compare the 'modern American democray' as facist in more than one way. With us or against us. Trust your governmet. ALL the time. Different views? You must not be a patriot. We can't tell you the reasons we think it is the right course of action, but again trust us. As time goes on, the actions of the Bush Administration seem to bring us down the road of Facism. It may not have been easily seen at first, but 9/11 changed everything. Government wants more control (DHS, integrating local, state and fedeal law enforcement, NSA wiretapping) over everything the average American does. Phone, Internet and any communications in general are being monitored for terrorist activity. And now the rhetoric of 'the terrorists that are here at home...' tred dangerous waters. The religious right must have a big role in this. Bush found religion again in his life and really patrons the religious right. Revisiting things like Roe Vs Wade and the possible reversal of this ruling will change how other things are handles. You can expect other major rulings to be revisited. -
CITIZEN, stop what you are doing !
GostHacked replied to GostHacked's topic in The Rest of the World
I am well aware of that, and the Government can suck me arse on that one! Hope they are reading it. It may be cheaper, but I would prefer the police to get off their fat donut eating asses and get some exercise and do some real police work, like walking the beat! I recall a day when the cops were friendly and helpful. Now they all seem like paramilitary stormtroopers. -
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1770 It will be a matter of time before this comes to the cities in Canada and the US. I am going to guess it will hit Canada first for some odd reason. Give ittime, or better yet, tell your 'leader's' in government to stuff it. Then that poses the question, are you truly free? How does it feel to have someone watching your every move.

If that primitive way is scaring the holy bejeezus out of right wingers so that they trash liberal society on their own, well, I can see that being some cause for alarm. But in the sense of actually overunning western nations militarily? Pshaw. That's not denial: that's realism. Name on Arab or Muslim nation that could pose a threat to the west. Are you ready for the AMERICAN HIROSIMA? http://www.homelandsecurityus.com/site/modules/news/ Are you ready for the planned destruction of 20 airliners? http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/kaplan091406.htm I'am totally sick and tired of all of it!!! More fearmongering by the Powers That Be. Plain and simple. I do not feel threatened by "radical islam". I feel threatened by those who invade countries based on total and complete lies. How can you trust anything they say in regards to the War on Terror when they - have not captured/killed Bin Laden. - told us the reasons for invading Iraq were irrelevant since a brutal dictator was removed. - Afghanistan is still in turmoil, and the Taliban are still a considerable threat (5 years later) - Patriot Act, NSA wiretapping, circumventing the constitution and your basic rights If an attack is done in the US, it will be by the powers that be to keep feer instilled in the population to keep the veil of security in place. No fear? No threat? No need to pump millions ,, er BILLIONS into the Military Industrial Complex, and instead spend that money on education and healthcare for EVERY SINGLE PERSON LIVING IN THE U.S. !!! I bet that would cover the illegal immigrants as well. But the money is wiser spent on tanks, bombs and guns to kill people. EDIT : Also nice way if linking the latest E-Coli incident to BIOLOGICAL TERRORISM!! Most likely it was just a bad batch of spinach. That can happen to produce since it is organic, grows in the ground and if not properly handled. OMG be afraid of the food you eat. Makes me sick.

Iran is addressing it. Hezbollah addressed it. Hamas addressed it. They all come to the same conclusion. The humanitarian catastrophe that resulted from the creation of it can only lead to one solution. The dismanteling of Israel for the common good of the Middle East. Compensation is something the Arab world may have considered about 40 years ago. But with Israel favoured by most of Europe and the West, compensation is not enough anymore. What is 60 years of compensation worth anyways?

Bush's Speech: Five years after 9/11
GostHacked replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I am starting to really like Keith Olberman from MSNBC.com He did a commentary from the old WTC site and totaly gave it to the current administration. Check out Youtube for it, I am at work now and cannot search for it. But I will add some later on. But check it out, watch it, then respond to it. Esentially saying , 5 years later and our would is still open and unhealed for the world to see. He was hoping for some closure on the horrific event and you can tell that man is angry at the still empty hole in the ground that was the WTC. This man has more balls than any other reporter out there today. I laugh my ass off when Bill O'Riley talks crap about Olberman. After Keith's 9/11 speach, hard to ignore the facts. He slams the Bush Admin on the Iraq war and the now bullshot/sexed up reasons for the Iraq war. -
Judge gives it to the NSA

http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,71778-0.html Just to give you an update on the Wiretapping program. Alot of what is in there is pretty shocking but the most shocking of all is this... Seems suspicious to me. No accountablility. Who voted for what? Is this the new way of doing things? In this day of tracking any information out there possible, would it only make sense on tracking who voted for what? -
OK fine shoot that messnger. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=2395433 http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...ft=1&f=1001 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14678206/ Come on guys, at least do a search online before you shoot that messenger.

http://edition.cnn.com/2006/US/09/12/usaf....s.ap/index.html Non-lethal? Ok ever cook something in a microwave? I hope these are volunteers. I would have to have it tested on non suspecting people. That could be um, bad. So is this how they test the new weapons? Actually you know what, this may be the right course. See how the American population feels about it before they use it in the battlefeild. Use your own people as guinnea pigs. But I guess that would be a problem in itself. So if the test subjects say no, does it get tested on someone else? How often has the US Military tested it's new weapons on unsuspecting Americans? Something to look into and consider. I understand that new weapons systems need testing but how far does that go? Accidents are going to happen as well, without a doubt.

Also I find that talking/reasoning with the right is like slamming your melon into a brick wall with spikes protruding from it.

It was fitzgerald's job to investigate and charge. As we all learned before the case ever ended there was no crime and that's why there was no charge of leaking the identity of a CIA under cover agent. What started out as a witch hunt turned into some sort of inquisition by rabid leftist sickle swingers. So much for government accountability. This is the reason why the kooks on the left are pissed. But the right fails to see that. Bush says he will prosecute. They found who leaked it, he admited it. No action will be taken against him. THAT is the problem. But don't worry, eventhough the Bush admin lied to you before, you still take it and love it. You don't care that there was no yellowcake from Niger. You don't care that the CIA told you there were NO links between Iraq and Al-Queda. You don't care it was all a smear campaing against Wilson who told them the intelligence was faulty. You don't care that Plame was revealed because of Wilson did not support the Iraq War. You don't care that Bush has relied on faulty intelligence and recomendations for (what I beleive) most of his choices as President. This is the problem The Left has, the administration is not holding people accountable for their actions eventhought it said it would. Again, the lies, how many can you swallow before you get full or get sick of it alltogether. The Bush Administration seems to be giving out lies by the bucket load. So when it comes to The Right - Accountability = Witch Hunt.

How to combat non voters...
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If you need to be paid to vote, I would not want your vote, or even wanting you to vote period. -
Evan after Bush said he would fire anyone and charge anyone involved in theleaking of CIA information, LIKE Plame. Trying to hold Bush to his own words is not a witch hunt. He is a hypocrite and a liar if he does not pursue any legal action against any one in this case. And all in all the witch IS Bush for he is the one giving the orders, then going back on his word. How many lies can you consistantly swallow from this administration? your stomach must be full, I know I throw up every time I catch a wiff of the hypocracy in that givernment.

How to combat non voters...
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So you are discouraging people to get involved in their government? Would not that be a good way to educate people? Giving them the tools to make the choice they beleive is right? The less people vote, the less people it will take to influcence government to make the policies. This is true as well. Often you should vote for 'none of the above' for none of them are worthy of the position. If less than half the voting population votes (due to lets say no one is good choice) then we should tell those guys to get lost and start over. Get better people in power. But that can get dragged on and our government can come to a screaching halt. Encourage people to vote, and encourage people to get educated. It starts with you. I did not vote in the last election for I was working and simply forgot. I feel like a heel for that. I would have voted NDP, but in retrospect now, I might have voted Green. Libs/Cons are just not an option for me -
Pope scolds Canada on gay marriage, abortion
GostHacked replied to bradco's topic in Religion & Politics
And this will help out with the seperation of church and state right?? Oh ffs. Tell the Pope to piss up a rope. I do NOT want to see religion in government and it should stay that way. Once we get Popes and Cardinals telling us how to do things and the government listening to them and then trying to accomodate them sets a bad example for all religions. He can scold all he wants but who's country is this? His? HA no. His words mean nothing to me anyways. So in the end as long as our government is not influenced by it, it should be all good. -
How to combat non voters...
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Got a solution to the E-voting problem. Have a receipt printed off showing what you voted for. That would also help out with discrepancies in the results. Created a digital and paper trail, and both should match to make it valid. If you have a receipt saying you voted for a certain party, and the e-vote does not match, your receipt should be considered the correct vote. Tampering with e-voting machines is easy, no matter what people say. Voting should be encouraged greatly. I encourage everyone I talk to, to vote. If you don't vote, you have NO say in what your government does. If more people voted, things might be allot different within our government. It is true alot of poeple don't know the issues and how to vote on them, and that is a problem with the Polititians and their platform. Alot of it is generalization and more often than not it is confusing and conflicting. Cut the fluff out of the language as well. Give it to me in simple terms of what you are going to do. That discourages people from voting because they are unclear on what the issue is. That is not a problem with just the voters, but who is giving them the information. Hence alot of people restraining from voting. -
Typical reaction from the 'right'. Not sure what witches we are hunting. I'd say that the Administration is misdirected and misdirecting (like the CIA - Ira(Q) Al(Q)eada link. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8605680/ Come on guys, hypocrites abound in this Administration and no one seems to be paying any attention. Armitage will not get fired or charged or anything. That goes against when Bush said. Initially Carl Rove was the suspect, until Armitage fessed up to the incident. And all that was due to the botched intelligence about the yellow cake from Niger. One screw up to cover another screw up.

Competence on both languages with both groupd is essential. Yes it sucks that Quebec is pushing french language laws, but Canada has two official languages, english and french. So people in the higher ups and intelligence agencies should be proficient in BOTH languages, regardless of where you are (ontario, quebec, Inuvut ect) It also needs to be fair on both sides (eng/french). It does also needs streamlining and the fluff cut out. If there is so much time wasted in translation and such then the beaurocracy is overwhelming and counterproductive. Leafless Well, I am not sure, but I would say they would have to communicate in english (if Quebec was their own country and the rest of Canada went with JUST english) And again proficiency in both languages is essential for both parties. I see what you are getting at Leafless. I agree with you for the most part as well, that one language would be more efficient. Also when Quebec lightens up their stance on 'soverignty and preservation of the french language. Then we can work more easily together, stuff does not get lost in translation, which, in the intelligence business is VITAL.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/08/lea...tage/index.html Armitage said he was the one who leaked it, but did not think it was a big deal at the time. Uh huh. Well at least he is comming forward, although TOO LATE for Plame. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/09/07/...in1981433.shtml Chances of him getting fired/charged/thrown in jail?? SLIM TO NIL.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/08/ira...t.ap/index.html CNN is reporting the same thing. NO F*CKING KIDDING !!!! Tell us something we DON'T know. Looks more and more like they wanted something to happen to beat the war drums. Looks like it worked and pulled a fast one on the American population. Wake up people. If this is the kind of crap they pull and yet you will say you will vote for them AGAIN, you need to beat your own head against the wall. /rant

TerrorStorm: Free movie
GostHacked replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
BD http://www.cnn.com/US/9910/25/wayward.jet.07/ Shortly = 1h 22m? Military response?? That seems a bit ... slow. Considering a fully stocked CF-18 can make it from North Bay to Winnipeg in about 30-40 mins. Difference here the transponder on Payne's jet was still active. And they knew the flight path. But yet the FAA and US Airforce tells us and shows us the exact route of all those planes, considering they never found the black boxes for the two planes that hit the twin towers. But another article backs you up with http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/natio...t99/crash26.htm your time frame of 1 h 22m would be correct. I thought it was a much shorter time span. But this is the only article I have come across that shows the time break down. -

Black Dog. Here is something that does not sit right with me , and it should not sit right with you. Now recall there were military exercises going on that same day Sept 11/2001. And how long it took for fighter jets to be dispatched to the New York area. Now since the latest terrorist plane bombing threat, every single plane that has had a scuffle on board, or even a bomb note was intercepted by military aircraft within minutes. Not to mention all the planes BEFORE 9/11 were intercepted within minutes. Somehow on 9/11 something went wrong. Does not sit right with me at all. -

BD It is gradual and intentional. If everything was taken away and the police state was established in one night, everyone would notice. Do it bit by bit and people won't notice and won't care. COMPLACENT. Also people have a short term memory. And I almost thought you were Monty Burns for a minute with the rant at the end. I am glad you are ok. theloniusfleabag I picked that movie up the other day as well, gotta set up the hometheater again so I can watch this movie. I hear it parallels what is going on today. Gonna watch this tomorrow.
