  1. Then I should be banned, drawn and quatered. My nick has a spelling mistake. It should be GhostHacked, but I messed up. I good no at Internets. Your reply did nothing to further the conversation. I will be going over all your previous posts with a fine tooth comb pal. So to save me the trouble, you should go back and edit all your replies in any thread here on MLW so they are correct. I have faith that you will, and I know I can grant you at least an A-- when all is said and dun. Not everyone is an expert on the English language. Some who come here don't even speak English as a first language. Betsy, you are right that you should not have to prove your god exists. However, if you are trying to convince someone that your religion is right, then you would need some evidence to show that person that the religion is true and god exists. I wondered how the church was able to 'dupe' so many people. Dupe in the sense of that, you just need faith, that is all (the desire to believe in something bigger than you) just imagine and believe he is there. You do not need evidence. This clearly goes against logical thinking. That is what I and many others have a problem with religion. It dictates an unsupported belief in something that is not logical. If that does not cause some internal conflict then you may not be thinking with the logical or critical, or annalytical mind. ClearlyWest gave me a passage to check out. I have not done so as of yet. But I shall. I am not sure what I will walk away from it. But if I have more questions than answers, my faith has not yet been defined. Religion has been around for centuries and has a book and a belief as evidence. Static - This is it and that is all. Stagnant and unchanging. Science has been around for centuries (not as long as religion) and is backed up by, math, physics, studies to annalyze predictions and then the 'belief system' is changed once we understand the true meaning. Science has evolved and is forever evolving and expaninding our true understanding of our environment. Well, Communism as a concept works. Democracy as a concept works. IN practice the human factor has much to do with the outcome of Communism and Democracy. Anything can be frigged up by self serving people. If Russell was always changing his mind, then that means to him, he has found new irefutable evidence that permanently changed his belief system. A man who says 'I was wrong' gets much credit from me. Russell would be a fool to continue believing in something he now has proof against the belief. Changed, evolved, realizes. The Egyptians thought they could take possesions with them to the holy land. Turns out that maybe King Tut did not really need all that stuff in the afterlife. He left it behind for the archeologists. Maybe the belief system was flawed.
  2. Besty, you are quite right on this. Science is ever expanding our understanding of our surroundings and how we interact with them. Faith and religion were used to explain things we were ignorant about, but as science progresses, we as a race understand more. Science has been used to prove the world is round. People who had faith were the ones thinking the earth was flat and you would fall off the edge of the ocean into space. (without thinking that all the water would run off as well, and the oceans would be dry) Faith and logic sometimes do not belong in the same sentence. You had faith the world was flat, now there is evidence to show and prove the world is round and you now commonly accept it as such. We learn. Now your faith is no longer valid once you understand the true situation (through scientific and analytical methods) I have never seen religion/faith prove anything. Science usually debunks it, or sometimes does not have an answer. That does not mean we won't find one. I put my faith in science. It has proven itself over the years, and more so as we progress in our own evolutional understanding of our environment. Faith and religion is stagnant and cannot offer anymore than some basic values for our daily lives, which is not bad in itself. But other than that, religion as I see it, has outlived it's purpose. Time for use to open up the mind and understand what things are about. How does one do that? Using science, methods to prove and disprove things. I like proof, for I am skeptic. Always have been. Simply because, science has time and time again proven 'faith' wrong. OK, so there is science we KNOW of 100%, and there is science we are not sure of. Theoretical sciences. But again most of the theories are based on other known scientific facts, and are put into a way that seems to make sense. Sometimes real science will prove these theories wrong as we understand more. Here is how I see it now. Science is about the understanding of things, through methods to prove right or wrong. Religion/Faith just tells us how it is without much to back it up, and you should just accept it as such. I hate being told what to do and think. Also with this kind of stagnation in place with religion, I do not believe it allows a person to 'grow and understand' things. Keeps them in a narrow frame of mind. And for the most part, faithers like science as long as it does not contradict their faith. That seems dangerous to me.
  3. Interesting stuff there Betsy. One day I was sitting on the kitchen floor at a friends place, we all were talking about the afterlife and communicating with the dead. I said aloud 'Lords of the Underworld, if you are here, give us a sign.' The kitchen window above the sink slammed shut. Freakish yes, but in retrospect, it was something else that closed with window. Old wood frame window, slipped loose from vibrations in the house (like us walking around ect) I don't know exaclty how the window was closed, but I will rule out supernatural causes or anyone from beyond the grave. The mind can play tricks on you. It has done the same thing to me. Think and beleive things are there when they are in fact not. You can even trick your own psychology into believing something that is not there, or has never existed. Hallucinations, trances do not take us to another higher plane, Just seems to make us think different about the 'plane' we are currently on. I have still been raised on Christian values? I will call them Moral/Ethical values and will not attach it to any religion. They may have given us a base to work with, but as a race/species, we have really outgrown this archaic concept of religion. We can now move past that to really reach our potential. I had a close friend die in a car accident a couple years after high school. I never got to say goodbye or really tell her how I felt about her. (I was quite attracted to her) So I got word one day about the accident and I was really upset and kind of depressed. I had a dream a day or two later about being in a common place we used to go (local watering hole, well it looked like dance clubs we used to go to) The surroundings were familiar but different. I was standing at a table when she came over to me in the dream. She wanted to say goodbye to me. I told her I was sad she was no longer with us. She said she will always be with us. I never had a dream about her again. EVER. I will chalk this up to my own brain wanting some closure on it all. So my dream was about ME wanting to let go and say good bye. She did not come back from the grave to talk to me in this dream. It was all in my own head. Still much to learn about the ID.
  4. Betsy. What if you picked the wrong religion? And it turns out the Mormon's were the actual right religion. (See South Park to explain this absurdity) What then? OH SHI.. I chose the wrong religion. When you are dead, you are dead. Can you come back? No. Is there reincarnation? I really doubt it. Can people talk to the dead and make millions of money by having their own television show? There is no afterlife and there has never been any proof to support it. Eventhough there is no proof to deny it, you first would need at least SOME evidence to actually show it exists. All you have is a book that has been 'purple monkey dishwasher'd' through the ages and modified at every revision. Language has changed through history and the book's language has changed as well. For all we know the origional message and meaning is lost and no longer there. So basing your religion and faith on a book that has been retranslated and retranslated through the ages is really kind of naive. It is no longer God's word. It has the spin of everyone or every group that has retranslated the book along the way. I cannot put faith in that. I am sure 'God' wants us to live our lives and be happy. If we worry about everything we do and how 'God' will judge us, then you cannot truly live. Always trying to please and gain acceptance of the 'God'. Kind of like appeasing that boss you are afraid of but put on a pedestal. Yeah I can see where the manipulation comes in. Without religion I know right and wrong. I have done, right and wrong. No regrets.
  5. How the hell does one play an RTS on a console?? I am 85/15% PC/PStwo. RTS's that rock on PC Homeworld series (1, 1.5 Cataclysm, 2) Dawn of War and expansions (Winter Assault, Dark Crusade) Company of Heros Command and Conquer - Generals:Zero Hour. IMHO - Relic/THQ have been a cornerstone of my RTS gamming experience. Anything they put out is simply amazing. In Company of Heros they even take a nice stab at EA (Electronic Arts). On the Allies Jeeps there is a work in army font on the truck E45UX5. Try Homeworld out, it is a slower paced RTS, but the interface/control scheme is simply mind blowing. Also Final Fantasy is RPG not RTS. And I prefer to game with others. You should play a few games with your son, either against him or play on the same team against AIs. Me and my friends (about 6 of us) that have been LANin on a for the most part weekly basis for the last 7 years. Much more fun to gather in one place, have a few drinks and game untill the wee hours of the morning. Couple weeks ago we has 8 players out. Quake 3 Capture the Flag 4v4 was laughs a plenty. BTW I pretty much am the suck for FPSs.
  6. Betsy, RTS??? You are a woman after my own geek-heart. When me and my pals LAN, they hate playing RTSs with me. Homeworld2 for example. Company of Heros I am still getting the hang of. Many games are propaganda for something. America's Army (Online FPS) was developed by the US Army using the Unreal(2) Engine. Very tactical and realistic. It is not a run and gun. Losts of strategy, and there are plenty of different maps. I really only have played Bridge. Some games are real subtle with the message. But most video games I will say are US orientated and Christian values are evident in most video games. Racing games rarely IF at all have a religious overtone. I guess unless it is the god fearing NASCAR'ers. Being a person of no religion at all, I miss alot of those overtones and suggestive dialogue in games. I just want to get lost in the game.
  7. I see it another way. Advertising. All around you, all you see is advertisments. EVERYWHERE! This one stands out more and is marketed for just that. And yes it is to get a message out. Since most people don't have the attention span to listen to the dry facts. Or the capacity to understand that MSM is quite hypocritical. It needs to be packaged in a flashy coat to get everyone else's attention. Those who have not even considered it for a moment that something else happened that day, those are the ones they are after. I think it worked well. Hence the existence of this thread! The truth movement is 'selling' you something. Do you buy it? Information is quite pricey these days, and someone wants to give it to me for free? OK!! It is a clever way to bring attention to something the MSM won't even touch in depth with. I guess you all equate this to the bum with the 'JESUS IS COMMING !' sign.
  8. Don't get around much on the net? I know a couple sites where absurdity happens on a daily basis.
  9. If god is everything then http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php is god. The TENTH DIMENSION. The infinities of infinities, everything that has is and will ever be can be put into a single point. Wrap your head around that site for a moment or two. DarkAngel, this has been one interesting thread to read through so far. ClearWest, you scare me. You and your kind scare me. I will explain why. It is fanatical in the lengths to which people will go through to convince others, 'prove' to others, that god exists if you truly just shut the fudge up and which people who believe in a god. We ask you why? You say that you can offer no proof and say we must seek it for ourselves and he will be revealed. Is this some sort of game? If you truly have faith, then you cannot question his existence, ever! I like to ask questions. I have always asked questions. I question everything (employers find this out about me right quick!) I am sure you are a decent person with some habits that could affect someone's decision to let you in when that time comes and you stand at the Pearly Gates. But no worries. You can repent everything at that moment and then you are granted forgiveness. During repenting during that moment, do you not think that you are being judged? ANYTHING can be a factor into not getting into this ethereal heaven. Stealing, lying, ect, no matter how small or insignificant the sin is, it is still a sin. In short, does god exist? NO In long, does got exist? NO. At a young age I discovered that god really did not exist. Logicly, it is a contradiction in itself. We are all created by the creator. Who made the creator? What? He was always there you say? And you also say he is everywhere? He is in Casinos with aces to spare. So if there is a creator, that creator must reside somewhere physical. Corporeal. But no, god is everywhere, omnipresent and omnipotent. Ethereal and all around you. God is what people say you believe in when you cannot scientificly explain something. Eventually we will be able to find that out as we progress with our ever expanding understanding of science. Many times before we have put our faith in something and then when science and logic come into play, we end up changing our beliefs, and then in retrospect, 'god, how naive was I to believe in that.. what?' Evolution of the human conciousness! I could not put my faith in something I could not understand the purpose of. Even before the age of 10 I knew that a god just could not exist when it is all said and done. I never grew up with religion, so I have always been a person outside looking in on religion. I guess I just don't have the inside scoop on the real deal. I find it fascinating that one can put so much faith into something that cannot be understood. I always question people about how they feel the way they do about religion. I just simply cannot wrap my head around the concept of a god. I have an easier time understanding the 10th Dimension. I just hope the King of All Cosmos does not get drunk one night and just decide to destroy the entire universe and start over. Only so much the Prince can roll up. The Flying Spaggetti Monster touched us with his noodly appendage. Ramen.
  10. I have been looking into 9/11 for some time myself. I have a couple other threads dedicated to it as well. I have looked at it as a large bank heist, to a catalyst to get support for the Iraq war. Without some catalyst on the U.S.A.'s soil, there would not be enough support for this war that has now claimed more soliders lives than people died on Sept 11, 2001. Not to mention this war has gone on longer than WWII. There were more players during WWII so that may have been the factor to a relatively short war. Here is a scenario that I think is plausible from all this. Even if the US government did not have a hand in that tragic day, they at least knew about it, and knew it was going to happen. The U.S. already had plans for Afghanistan and Iraq even before Bush ever hit office. (How long does it take to prepare for war in a country on the other side of the planet?) Now we all know 9/11 was used by Bush and Co. to wave the banner of war on terror. 'There is a time for politics...' How much support for a war in Afghanistan and Iraq would be drummed up without a catalyst like 9/11 to help out with that? I have moved away from the idea of bombs in the building ect ect and am looking at the big picture. Sept 11, 2001 was fateful to many of us now still alive today. I think it really did change things. It has many reprocussions that are yet to be felt and/or understood by many. I have watched alot of documentaries on youtube and googlevideo's. I will link them later on and then tell you how I think they are important and fit into all this. Even if 9/11 was not an inside job, it was used and abused as a tool/weapon against everything that America does NOT stand for (With us or against us) The Bush admin used and abused that day over and over again for the last 5 years. Do you remember the lessons of 9/11 ?? Whatever that really means since there is alot of controversy about that day, the events and who knew what and when. The result of this is now a Patriot Act (and revisions) that seem to actually negate some parts of the Constitution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_PATRIOT_Act The following shows what that actually means. It is just an acronym. Sounds good right? And by naming it PATRIOT, you are shunned and ridiculed and told you do not understand anything, you are unPATRIOTic. http://www.answers.com/topic/patriot-act
  11. I had a nice long post created before my browser crashed. Notice the revision disclaimer at the bottom. Revised NOVEMBER 2001. I guess some one forgot to put the 9/11 attack in there, or that embassy attack was the biggest one he managed to pull off as of this time. No mention of 9/11 in there at all. Instead of me telling you why it is not in there, you can tell me why it is not in there. Seems like he is only wanted for the attacks outside of the U.S.A. Is the FBI that sloppy? Why would they forget to update and mention that on the FBI's MOST WANTED LIST ?? Please take this question seriously. ON to the Larry Silverstein confession? 'Gettin ready to pull building 6.' (demo crew taking down what was left of WTC 6) 'and the decision was made to pull it.' (from the horses mouth) There is no question he is referring to the demolition of WTC 7. NO QUESTION in my mind about that at all. Even when he says it, people don't believe it is what it is and how important that statement is. As for Rumsfeld, it could have just been a slip of the tounge, and either way I do not think this bit of 'evidence' is worthy of anything. And TYRANNY was mentioned a few times in this thread http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=tyranny. http://janschejbal.wordpress.com/2006/07/1...ag-fire-decree/ http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...6/hsorensen.DTL
  12. In that case we should get a list of Iraqi casualties http://www.iraqbodycount.org/database/ this might not be the best place for it. Since it is not MSM or that kind of garbage.
  13. LET me jump in here and http://infowars.net/articles/december2006/...Impeachment.htm I think this is enough reasoning for it. Regardless of it being loud mouth Alex Jones' site.
  14. Rue So mentioning the Holocaust and or Jews in NYC or even saying negative things about the Israeli DEFENCE FORCE (last time I checked that is a military, hard to be anti-semetic against a military) By this reasoning everytime I bash the U.S.A.'s military I should be considered anti-american, but you fail to see the difference in hating the actions of said group as opposed to hating the group outright. Do you hate Hamas? Hezbollah? Or just hate their actions and what they stand for? I hate Israel and all it stands for, and I am not afriad to voice that fact. I do not believe they have rights to that land regardless of your legality mumbo jumbo (I am not a law expert and won't claim to be) but on the side of moraly right. I think BOTH sides have lost the battle. So I propose taking away everything in Israel/Palestine (and whatever other borders are not 100% defined since Israel was founded) and take all the arms and ammo, and let them have at it fist-to-cuffs. Then the winner will be triumphant. War does not determine who is RIGHT, just who is left. So having illegal West Bank settlements is ok in your book Rue? How do you really feel about it? The borders for Israel are still as of this time not 100% defined. But they will be in 2010. Israel has said so. So if there are no defined borders then Israeli's can settle anywhere they want? Without reprocussions? Occupation is what it is, plain and simple (or is it simple due to the fact of undefined borders?) It's not just how we on MLW interperet the law, but it is how Israel and the rest of them interperet the law. We can see it one way, they see it another. Yes Rue you are right in everything, however the way I see it is ....... I think we should all go. If everything was paid for today, would any of you get off the couch/computer and go actually find out?
  15. And none of you raise a voice when Bush claims Iran, NK ect as AXIS OF EVIL!! No you don't say anything, but you agree with him. Chavez is popular for he is doing what he thinks is best for the country. Taking control over the natural resources making it a national asset. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5112101800.html With CITGO as the supplier to the US from Venezuela they managed to help out the energy hunger country of the U.S.A. Not to mention GITGO had sold the oil/gas to the U.S. for cheap just so the lower end of the income scale are not freezing their asses off in the winter. All I know that Chavez has done more for his country and people since he has been in power, compared to Bush who is quickly running the country into the ground. And I think the U.N. is the PERFECT place to be saying that kind of thing. I personaly would use the U.N. to my advantage to get my message across. It is the only forum on the planet that allows the leaders of all countries to gather and discuss stuff. Some words are heated and might be wrong to use, but when hypocracy abound is to be found in the UN, the argument that the UN should not be used for this kind of speach is foolish in my view. The U.S.A. has done that several times, but no one bitches about that. And the U.S.A. is STILL in Iraq and Afghanistan. Tyranny? - Patriot Act, NSA surveilance, ect ect.
  16. This is one example, I am 100% sure there are many other incidents like this that never make the news. Polynewbie is correct. It has been written into law through the Patriot Act (and revisions) HR 6166 and several presidential executive orders. Yes, the US "anti-terror" laws have given the authorities powers that violate our fundamental principles on human rights and the due process. That's not what PolyNewbie is wrong about. What PolyNewbie is wrong about is that these new powers make the US, in his words, "one of the most oppressive and tyranical governments that has existed in 1000 years." The Patriot Act et al pose a threat to human rights that the majority of people on earth don't even *have* right now. -k How can you be the beacon of freedom and human rights when you are slowly eroding the bill of rights through the Patriot Act and such other items of legislation? How can you say that you are for good and against evil when you are systematicly (slowly so no one notices much) negating all your rights. Tyranny is happening in the US, slowly but surely
  17. Only if they are not citizens. Jezus. Is everything you have an opinion on factually incorrect or what? This is quite wrong. Even if you are a legitimate American Citizen (See Jose Padillia) you can be detained indefinately. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2037444.stm This is dated Nov 22/2005. Meaning he was detained for 3 years without a formal charge. Regardless of the 'he was in a cult, talking to Al-Queda terrorists ect ect. Innocent until proven guilty? Or have we gone in the other direction now. Recall the old joke 'In Mother Russia you are guilty until proven innocent.'? This is one example, I am 100% sure there are many other incidents like this that never make the news. Polynewbie is correct. It has been written into law through the Patriot Act (and revisions) HR 6166 and several presidential executive orders.
  18. The man in the 'confession tape' is not Bin Laden, The nose, cheeks and some body movements are not Bin Laden. Results of 9/11 - Two countries were invaded. Do you really think that the American population would have supported the Iraq and Afghanistan wars if 9/11 did not happen? Knowing now that all the reasons they gave you for going in were constantly changing when the truth comes out? Then when you start going backwards, you find that the current Administration has been lying through it's teeth all along. Canadian Blue Sometimes main stream media does not give the full or even a partial picture. They are far too busy telling you everything is right and just keep on shopping , get back to the malls. Don't worry there will always be cheap oil. This war I believe is about securing the last semi-uncharted natural resources areas of the world. The US peaked their oil production in the 70's. Now they import most of what they consume. Canada supplies about 15% of the total US Natural Gas consumption. That 15% is over half of Canada's total output. http://www.energybulletin.net/21899.html http://www.energyshop.com/es/contactus/big_chill_ahead.cfm Yes this war is about oil and gas, not about freedom (well maybe freeing the oil from the Middle East) What happens to economies when good cannot be moved anymore? (say bye bye to cheap stuff from China) No power to move ships across the ocean to deliver the goods, no power to supply the plants making the goods. Basicly things come to a halt. And since we have no real alternative to replacing oil right now or even in the next 10 years, we are all going to really change how we live. Everything will change. So this war will go on as long as there is still resources flowing from the Middle East into the tanks of the vehicles we drive. Not only does the economy stop/slow down, your ability to defend that with a military gets tougher. No fuel to drive the tanks, and the trucks and the aircraft needed. Not to mention the food you buy on the store shelves will no longer be delivered by truck since there is no gas in the tank. Food will become a problem as well. All current logistics supporting our way of life is in a crisis. This cannot go on forever.
  19. Political correctness has gone way to far. You cannot say much without offending SOMEONE. Who cares. grow a pair and just ignore it. Best way to bring attention to this is to keep on talking about it. I saw the clip and laughed my ass off. It's comedy! And some people play off the crowd. And I agree there is a total double standard in this aspect. Comics like Richard Pryor (R.I.P) Eddie Murphy and even Chris Rock use 'nigger' quite a bit. Don't see anyone attacking them for saying it during their sets. Actually the more wrong it is, the more funny I find it. Why? Well if you get offended, then turn it off or do something else. Why sit through the pain and suffering if you are offended. Sodomizing yourself with it all. How many times have black commedians used 'cracker' to describe a white person? Lots, and you know what? I find it right freakin hilarious. Best thing for those guys in the crowd would have been to just get up, walk out and demand money back for the show. Creating a scene will get Richards more exposure (this post is 100% proof), and he will be more popular because of it. Get a grip people, comedy is comedy and there are all different flavours of it. Some find it hilarious, and some are offended. Laugh at yourself before you can laugh at others. Also growing up with a German background, I can tell you that I have been called a 'Jew Killing Nazi' on more than a few occasions. Those are the ones I laugh at the most. Ignorance can be bliss, right? Actually one guy I worked with said that to me often. He was from Checezslovakia. 'You asses, killing all the jews in WWII, ect ect ect' I let it slide for some time. Then he said it again one day and with a little more seriousness. I told him we were sorry, we thought they were Checzs. He never bothered me again.
  20. Maybe you know something about this that I do not. How would a spammer get a notification that the link was clicked from this site? I know it can track YOUR IP address ect, but I am not sure how the link reports it. Being in IT, this is something I am interested in to know.
  21. So now we have the European Union, the African Union, and the North American Union is on it's way as well. Seems like the Globalists have been busy. http://www.africa-union.org/root/au/index/index.htm The AU has been actively involved of the matter for awhile North American Union wont happen, at least not for a long, long time In a way the building of regional unions is stepping back from globalization. Are you concerned about the creation os regional unions? Why or why not? Amalgamation of power. Also this makes it easier for a world body government to step in down the road. You will no longer have individual countries in a region supporting a topic, but the whole region will be blanketed with one topic and one vote essentially. In the North American Union, we as Canada no longer have a say in what goes on in this continent. You can try to see it as a compromise between the US, Canada and Mexico, but .. I will use a corporate takeover analogy here.. some posts will get downsized or eliminated altogether. So much redundancy that people will loose jobs. You can bet this will have an impact on the economy of the region. Borders will be erased, identities will be erased. All for this new cause and new way of life. I can see nothing good from this large union for someone is going to get the shaft. Absolute Power corrupts absolutely. And actually this makes it easier for globalization. Some countries in the African Union may not have a say anymore about what goes on in their country. Indonesia is a great example of how globalization can shape the policy of one country to the benefit of others. Policy was created and influenced by Corporate America. It could go both ways. But how can you have an African Union when most of the countries are really still waring with each other, and so much civil strife in almost every African country in existence. How does the Union help those who need it most?
  22. And yet Rue has still not addressed my post a couple pages back. Skipped right over it and kept on going with the other posters/reactions/comments. I don't know if this is a sign, or Rue just cannot address what I have mentioned. But I await for a reply. Black Dog, that link was very interesting. Seems like there is plenty of vocal support from the leaders in the US. People from the left and the right.
  23. Oh really? Would you want your only forward bases in this volatile, but oil-rich part of the world to speak only Farsi or Arabic? Give your head a shake. Israel is a stable, reliable democracy whose land can, if necessary, be used as a base to establish some control over the feral beasts of that area. The ignorance in you shows with your use of 'feral beasts'. Have some decency for whatever's sake. If that is the case, again I have said it, WHY live among the beasts if you cannot tame them or reason with them. Is that not a lost cause? Would you not live in fear all the time? Would you just want to leave? Or is there something more here. Will this eventually establish a democracy among the savages? Do you think they can handle it? How long after you try to tame/control the animals until they get pissed off enough to do something about it? If they spoke only Farsi? At least we would be able to really know what they are saying. Something can be said for knowing the local dialect. Most of those who control the oil speak Arabic.
  24. Rue The Canada-Israel Committee http://www.cicweb.ca/aboutcic/ http://www.cicweb.ca/aboutcic/internship.cfm Sneaky way of getting in the back door. Also it seems to have caused some flack. By this statement there is nothing to do with Israel or being Jewish in that statement. If that is the case, drop the name or change it to something better, like Young Canadians for a Better Parliment. http://canadiandimension.com/articles/2005/11/01/209/ It is all about power. ALL about power. I love it when those pull out the 'race card' or the 'anti-semite' card. If this is not about Jews, it sure as hell is making them look bad by throwing this under the name of Israel and all the lobbies in Canada and the US supporting Israel and furthering their cause. How about dropping the Jew/Israel angle and say that you want ultimate power and influence. The Power Group instead of anything Jewish/Israeli. http://www.thebookseller.com/index.cfm?pid...mp;nb_catId=573 http://www.ft.com/cms/s/b6d10d64-bddf-11da...00779e2340.html This sounds familiar Rue. I am prepared to be called an Anti-semite. If that is the worse you can throw at me then you need to change it up a bit. http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/opinion/?id=18139 (I will give this to Rue and say that these guys hate Jews and Israel.
  25. Protip : Wait for a few months to see how the new boxes perform. I personally have interest in the Wii. For starters the new Wiimote wifi system will change how we play and now even interact with games ever more. The online support for this console will be Go. Wii Go. Such a smart name and concept. Through Go, you will be able to buy and download all previously games on almost any Nintendo platform out there. They just simply have things right. Don't get all hung up on horsepower and graphic capability. The games will be fun on the console and you won't give two flicks about the OMG 'low end graphics'. Another nice thing this console will launch at about 250cnd, not bad at all. I currently have a PStwo and really love the thing and the games I have with it (Katamari Damacy, Shadow of the Colossus being two fantastic games. The only thing that prevents me from really playing it daily or even weekly now, is the online play. It was left up to the developers of the games to include online game play. The PS3 is looking to be the same thing. If there is no online support like Go or Live, then I predict a quick demise in sales of the console itself and the games. But this box will have the horsepower to give you superior graphics. The other draw back is the price. Over 600cnd at launch. You can buy two Wii's for one PS3. So there you go. Now if you were to buy a PStwo or the first Xbox, or the Cube, they are all not expensive to buy now. And you can pick up used games or the Hits for 20cnd. True. But it is how you stare at it. LAN sessions are plenty fun. We do it at my place every Saturday. I prefer to play games and interact with something than stare at the TV. I have come to loathe TV in general and only watch a few series (BSG being one of them) If I had kits I would rather them play games on the PC or console than to just sit there and zombie veg out to the TV, constantly flipping the channel because nothing is good on. If you see a bunch of people sitting there talking about tech and games and such, those are Geeks. Nerds don't seem to socialize much at all.
