Well if he did report it why not tell it to parliament what is he afraid off...., it is public knowledge of his holdings in real-estate. Just to clarify, we sent all we could to Afghanistan, at the peak it was 2 battle groups, for those of you who don't know what a battle group is...it is 2000 to 3000 personal...or half a brigade group....and we could not sustain that for long...so for the most part it was one small battle group....and we struggled to meet those commitments...and that came at a cost , with some soldiers doing 8 tours out of the 13 years we were there with the average soldier doing at least 3 to 4...and todays army is what is the result of those deployments... So yes we did show up, we contributed the very minimum we could,and Canadian soldiers paid the price while our government and citizens conveniently forgot about us,which meant little money, and very little in investments into equipment and in training...Most if not all that was accomplished over there came out of the military's budget...or the blood sweat and tears of our soldiers, airmen, sailors...Not Canada's finest hour, it was our military that carried that flag from start to finish....

Well if Carney said so it must be true....you make it sound like we just invested 900 bil into defence it was 9 bil of which 2.5 of that belongs to the CG....this new money will be used to pay for a pay increase,purchase disparately needed spare parts, update infrastructure, increasing ammo production, and ammo it selve and a large chunk will go into our northern fobs, and northern infra structure...a very small percentage of it may go into a equipment program, thats should be a red flag for all Canadians that we are so far behind that 9 bil is peanuts....while other NATO countries are investing more than 100 bil or more... American age is over is BS, we will still get the a good portion of our weapons for the states....this is all political chest puffing ,look at me...we are going to buy european now....sorry to say but the best equipment available is American....and we already have contracts signed sealed...P-8, maritime helos, MLRS, Awacs, F-35 all american weapons systems...even our new frigates have American sensors,VLS systems, Spy7 radars and sensors..Even our LAV's 6.0 are built by an american company....SO we will be doing business with the Americans for decades to come, unless your in BC then they do business with the China... NATO is on the verge of rising it's GDP % to 5 percent total....and by july Canada will go back to being lagards once again as Carney has said he has not intention to invest that much into defence....whoop there it is....

I get it the US has a major drug problem, and fentanyl is a huge killer of americans, and Canadians, and Canada should be checking every thing coming into our country,thats what border security does..... but our border security is not taken very seriously and does not have the resources to a complete and thorough job... so,again a canadian problem... Just a question, who is responsible to check all goods coming into the US ...And does the US check all exported goods leaving the US ?...So where does the failure lay, with Canada because weak border security, or because the US like Canada has weak security on the northern border... No one is talking about making them part of the offensive chain, at this time, what i was talking about is them doing the law enforcement chain like fisheries patrol, maritime drug indication, stuff the navy does right now that is traditionally not Navy tasking but rather RCMP, and fisheries...And you don't need a huge naval gun to do that look at the AOP's it does the same missions but it does not have a huge main gun... It is simple then is it not, job descriptions and job skills change all the time, people adapt or find a new line of work...I'm sure like the Military there are tonnes of support roles that will not require any firearms training or more law enforcement taskings. not all CG personal just want to tend buoys for the rest of their career.... Liberals are studying just that as they have said, looking at arming the CG...no timeline nothing else was mentioned... Then you only prove this was done to enhance accounting measures only...a way to increase our GDP % without doing anything of real value....But the liberals did say they are considering arming them and giving them added responsibilities...which could be taking a active role in fisheries patrols, drug interdiction, perhaps even getting more investments into the department...and in order for them to do that they will be asked to step up.... CG is already part of the security apparatus, in the future they may play a bigger part, nobody is suggesting they be part of the NAVAL kill chain.
