Klein is acting like a spoilt brat jerk again threatening to only stay one day at the first minister's meeting on Health care. What a dip stick.

Should Petro-Canada have been privitized?
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I would want Petcocanada to remain in the government hands. That way at least some of our industry will be controlled by Canada not from some foreign country. -
Do you people have any political ambitions?
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
good luck. My only political ambition is to be able to vote for a leader that doesn't mess up. Tough enough job these days -
that being said; I must admit; I think she should have her butt kicked out of office now. She is acting and talking like an idiot herself. She should show a little more dignity to the office she holds.

Sorry< it is not our media nor education system. It has been Mr Bush with his arrogant attitude and punitive trade actions that have made Canadians dislike the American government and big business. Invading a country without UN support after using bribes, threats and forged or fraudulent intelligence. What's to like or respect there.

I am not so sure that the offender should be returned to his original community where his old friends are. Or where he has people he may want to get even with. Maybe it is better to keep him away from things that are too familiar and where he will find his way back into trouble sooner.

Another dangerous inmate on the loose from a half way house.

We were talking this imaginary French surround but anyhow; Alberta might do it for a while. It would NOT be that amicable. BC would probably suffer the most being cut off so we would do our best to get even. Saskatchewan could easily ship east.

What difference would it make they would still be screaming dscrimination and wanting to separate just like they are now If under those circumstances; Alberta decided to separate they would be very foolish. They have no port and therefore no route except through Canada to persue trade.

The best laid plans of mice and men go oft awry. poor translation of Robbie Burns but let's face it Iraq invasion was NOT one of the best laid plans. -
Conservative Support Dips Post-Election
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
yeh right; just like you thougth the liberal opposition should agree with mulroney's policies instead of finding fault. -
Off the top of my head but I think the fellow that did the last murder was from Ontario.

Are you anti USA or anti Bush?
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Well if it is not obvious that the rest of the world is not always wrong nor is the USA often right. That is your closed mind. If you refuse to look at the obvious misuse; you are too brainwashed to matter -
Vander Zalm speaks out against outsourcing
caesar replied to idealisttotheend's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
While I am against outsourcing when the service or product is available locally; I would like Vander Zalm to crawl back under his rock next to Mulroney and keep his big mouth shut. We don't need or want him speaking out for our side. His opinion is counter productive. He has no credibility nor much respect from our citizens -
Has the Language Police gone too far?
caesar replied to JWayne625's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well if you are someday wanting to work anywhere in the world; English is a basic language to know. Not so with French these days. Besides Canadian French is quite different than Parisienne French. I just read a strange fact the other day. More people in China can speak English than those in the USA -
Conservative Support Dips Post-Election
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Don't under rate Stronach just because she is a female. She has plenty of smarts and has successfully run a large company. She just needs to put in some time as a contributing member in parliament before seeking the leadership. She should distance herself from Mulroney. Let her cut her baby teeth as a MP and we will see how she can take care of business. Harper's constant yelling and whining criticism of anything the government does is irritating. I think the opposition leader should show a little class and agree with the government position on occasion; then he won't have to lie and pretend that he supported a popular action later. (Iraq) That lying was an insult to the intelligence of Canadian voters. -
Who is your favourite prime minister and premier
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think Mulroney made that almost a done deal. -
Giles Duceppe is not that well known. There is a big difference. We are talking about Ted Kennedy. American royalty; well known in the scandal sheet papers until the past few years. There is no comparison to Duceppe; Ted would compare more closely to Trudeau while he was alive.

Don't believe any National Post crap. That is the worst right wing paper I have ever seen. Garbage rag

contrast this behaviour to BC's Campbell
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Sorry that you have such poor taste Willy. All we are getting in this province is sold out to the first foreign buyer. -
That is one writer's opinion. Health Care is a provincial responsibility. Martin should not hand them more money without ensuring the money will go towards shortening waiting times for specialists, tests, and operations. As for national daycare; that should be reconsidered. People should pay for their own children's daycare or better still; one parent stay home and raise their own children; let's get health care working first

It is time we started doing something different. I think work camps in some remote area is not such a bad idea. Let them clear the land;build their own homes, grow gardens, and learn to be self sufficient in a legal way. A little blood sweat and tears won't hurt them. Until they show that they can take responsibility for carrying their own weight and get along with others do not release them. Make sure there is ways that they can work and pay for the costs of keeping them and supervising them. So what if their relatives cannot visit every week. If it was that important to them to keep in touch with their family; obey laws. We ask our military personnel to travel to distant countries risking their lives and leaving love ones to worry and miss them at home; prisoners do not deserve better treatment than those who serve to protect us and try to keep this world a safer place.

You don't have to be a Mensa member to realize Ted Kennedy is not a threat nor should anybody have any trouble recognizing him.

Sounds pretty middle of the road. This is a new government and too early to really rate. They haven't even sat in the legislature, yet; have they. That statement came from a joint Harper, Layton, and Duceppe meeting

Same thing here in BC. Election coming in May. Now Campbell is trying to buy his way back into our good graces. Not mine!!!!!!!!! I have no short or long time memory loss.
