Are you anti USA or anti Bush?
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Canada / United States Relations
The invasion of Iraq was a morally and unjustified action it only escapes being tried as a war crime due to the USA belly aching and bullying its way into being exempt for prosecution for war crimes. Israel only escapes taking responsibility for its unjust actions thanks to the veto by the USA. The USA misuses its veto; it even vetoed a resolution against Saddam for using poison gas. Real nice; eh. Support that USA action, too???? Bah -
The Press and media in Canada is heavily controlled and owned by Can West which leans right. This company owns a large proportion of our media and newspaper sources. I did get most of my information from British sources during the lead up to the Iraq fiasco. That is why so many stories contain the same slant.

Martin rejects national drug plan.
caesar replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Let's get the money where it is needed most. Doctors and Specialists and required tests and surgeries; Get those long long waiting lists down to something near to reasonable. Both health care and pharmacare must be controlled by the same government. If the feds pay for prescriptions; the provincial governments will want to keep us doped up instead of using any medical procedures that would be their responsibility. No thanks. Both governments like to play games; I don't want to be their guinea pig. -

http://www.geocities.com/famousdog/RESOLUTIONS.HTM This gives the lists of Iraq resolutions ignored vs Israel resolutions ignored. Israel's list was too long to copy -

http://www.amenusa.org/Iraq15.htm There's a starter for you Stoker. Israel leads the pack in ignoring resolutions. -
well Cartman; I couldn't agree with you more. I am happy to say that Campbell did NOT get my vote. I can't wait until May 17, 2005.

Well Krusty, if broken resolutions call for invading such a country; better go invade Israel. They have more than Iraq had; despite the American veto protecting them from being held accountable for their illegal invasions, human rights vilations, etc, etc. -
Sorry but you are very wrong. What province are you from. My son injured his knee in a skiing accident. It took 4 months to get to see the specialist; who cannot do anything until he sees a MRI which only the specialist can order. (I think it was a waste of time to send him to a specialist without the MRI in hand) The MRI will take 8 to 9 months to obtain. He paid 600 dollars and got it in a week. That would mean over a year before treatment could be started. Not good if one had to work on his feet; plus the condition would probably deteriorate due to lack of treatment. That is a minor problem but could prove expensive if you were unable to work. Other people wait months for cancer treatment while the tumour grows. Others die waiting for a by pass for heart problems. Not a problem, you say? Maybe if you are young and healthy and stay away from any sports injuries; and are darn lucky.

I believe that is actually quite reasonable share of expenses for a dog of that size. For one thing Slavik; I think your food costs are on the low side. My two Shih Tzus cost me about 100 per month for food and snacks; grooming is 40 dollars each; what would a St Bernard cost? Any vet bill can be very expensive. Unless you already own your home; rent for a place that will allow or accomodate such a large dog is not cheap; nor easy to find. That the gent in question did not get visitation rights may indicate some abuse???? Perhaps the dog needs a doggie psychiatrist

I don't think any party is too anxious to bring the downfall of the Liberals, as of yet. They may well end up getting the sohort end of the vote, if they try without a very good popular reason. I think, it remains to be seen what will happen. If the Conservatives want any chance of winning they will have to jettison Harper and move a little more center. Anyone who doesn't cooperate to get our Health Care back up and running will be a big loser.

Campbell Liberals & BC Fish Farms

The belief that sea lice pose a danger to wild stock problem does not just come from one source. It is not some wild idea; it is common knowledge. -
BC Liberals hit the skids: Poll (May 19/04)
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
There is more to life than business with cheap labour. We the middle income earners deserve a decent life. Since the NDP under Carole has stated that they plan to move more to the center; I will be happy to vote NDP. I feel confident she will not embarrass us by getting locked up driving drunk in a foreign country. What a bozo. We need to keep decent paying jobs in BC. We MUST keep all government and medical records in BC. As we can see from the problems in Ontario; selling any part of our transportation system to foreigners is a DUMB idea. Gordon Wilson revived the Liberal party and Campbell back stabbed his way into power. I will be very glad to see the last of that loser. Let's hope BC still has control of some of our resources when he is gone. I am looking forward to a female Premier. Maybe, some honesty will surface at last. -
Canada wins again but will the USA ever accept these rulings.
-
Do you really believe that the USA uses the information they get through Homeland Security for just locating terrorists?????? They are already using it to catch smugglers. My medical information is nobodies business but mine. There is absolutely no excuse for it to be sent to a foreign country.

Campbell Liberals & BC Fish Farms
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
The Fish farms are believed to be contaminating wild stocks with sea lice. Campbell did quietly arrange to forgive fish farms from paying fines for past misdeeds and he lowered their rents?????? -
Some saving eh????? plus 2000 jobs paying taxes back into the BC system Sounds like a dumb deal to me.
-
Why should they escape paying PST: there are more important things that could be exempt; shoes for walking or bicycles or even motorcycles. These small economy cars may pollute less per mile but are usually driven more. Until these cars are built to stand up to small crashes; they are costing us more in paying for injuries.
-
Willy, my comments are all connected. Don't give me any of your feeble advice. Our Medical records are supposed to be confidential and there is absolutely no excuse for allowing them to leave BC. NONE AT ALL. I don't know what Campbell's problem is but he sure is doing his best to sell out this province. We wouldn't need the new legislation if they kept our personal medical records at home where they belong. Their wimpy legislation will not protect our records from the USA homeland security act. Get real!!!!!

200 a month is very reasonable for a St Bernard. Slavik; you are a vile idiot saying you would poison a dog. You should be ashamed of yourself.

BC Liberals hit the skids: Poll (May 19/04)
caesar replied to maplesyrup's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Oh, you are very wrong Willy. Every union person, any senior, and parents with children with disabilities will be voting OUT Campbell. He has taken a wrecking ball to this province and its resources. Health Care has deteriorated and our debt has climbed despite all the sell offs. Anyone who votes for this turkey other than overpaid rich businessmen is crazy. -
But we can and have built our own ferries; Canadians need the jobs. This BC government prioritites seem to be to destroy all union jobs. They have steadily been selling off the control of our resources to foreign countries. They are sending our personla medical data and other government data out of BC for processing. WHY???? Now they must try to enact laws to prevent the USA's Homeland Security from sifting through all our data at will. Like our BC laws will stop them. Keep our data at home; I am sure there are many competent data companies in BC. Campbell appears hell bent to finish what Mulroney started; selling out our Canadian resources to the USA. He lowered the legal working age to 14. Campbell seems to be attempting to make the middle income class into third world minimum wage workers.

Big deal. What government contracts do not come out over budget???? They take so long to plan and tender contracts that prices change. More builders will go bankrupt if we do not use our own workers. Wonderful The present government is not concerned with how over budget RAV will go; are they. 3 votes; democracy in triple action????? Keep voting until you get the results you want; little greasing the palm here and there. eh

I get to watch more than enough American programs. Where are we so deprived???? I would like to see more control on allowing any company to have such a large monopoly on our news in Canada as has Can West, We need better control; not less. I certainly do not want any of our Canadian media to be foreign owned. There is enough propaganda coming from the USA and Can West sources now. Basically it is more by what they neglect to tell us.
