So Paul Manafort was "a grave counter- intelligence threat" during the Trump administration..and Hunter Biden is somehow NOT a grave counter-intelligence threat despite his lucrative ties to China, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakh? The sitting US president's son has extremely lucrative deals with hostile foreign countries and this apparently is no cause for concern?

Missing ballots can certainly have an effect on elections in favour of one party or the other. Every missing Republican ballot helps the Democrats and vice versa. How so many ballots did go missing over such a period of time shows that the system is far from being secure and when Democrats and their allies in the MSM state categorically that the 2020 election was the most secure ever, that's just fantasy. US elections are not at the same level of tinpot dictators that routinely get 99% of the vote but they are also not infallible. I believe some Republicans tend to not want to put the country through the turmoil of disputing election results believing that it's not good for the country. Democrats have never been reluctant to dispute election results that don't favour them and this fact seems to be conveniently forgotten by the people that are outraged that Trump dared to challenge the 2020 results. Every vote is important, especially in the swing states. Biden beat Trump by less than 276,000 votes in key swing states | Fox News So when millions or tens of millions of mail in ballots go missing that seems like a huge deal. Throw in the enormous amount of illegals flooding across the southern border and the fact that many of them may be getting to vote as well. The truth about illegal voting | The Hill

According to the link posted above, some 28.4 million mail in ballots have gone missing in the last four election cycles. That's a huge number and it clearly shows just how insecure the mail in ballot process is in the US. Asking more questions is the best way to go with stories like this but too many people are content to keep their heads in the sand. Maybe ignorance really is bliss for them.

I wonder what it's like to live in the Disney-like world you inhabit. Lot's of crimes are going unreported because there is little that store owners can do in the face of such stupidity from the Democrats in those states. Walgreens and CVS stores in San Francisco forced to close (lawenforcementtoday.com) Why would these stores be closing if theft rates weren't rising? California Stores Closing Early As Unpunished Theft Explodes (thefederalist.com) Chain Stores Are Closing En Masse In San Francisco, Why? - San Diego News Desk The repetitive losses of $950 thefts take their toll on store owners and franchisees. $950 is not equivalent to the theft of a chocolate bar.

Biden has really low approval ratings now and deservedly so since his record from day one is terrible. I have to wonder just how anyone in their right mind can be happy with what he's done so far? The US has gone from Trump(America first) to Biden(America last). No joke..no joke as Biden himself would say. There is time for him to turn it around before the midterms but his puppeteers seem hell bent on maintaining these failed policies, most of which could have originated from Bernie Sanders. Remember Biden did actually appoint Bernie Sanders as an economic advisor. He appointed a socialist as an economic advisor?

You're not telling the whole story once again. When Sussman went to the FBI, did he disclose the fact that he was working for the Clinton campaign? Yes or no? Did the Steele dossier turn out to be a complete fabrication? Yes or no? WOW: Sussmann Juror Is Talking, and It’s an Eye-Opener – Republican Daily Sussman Jury Is Loaded with Dems Who Hate Trump (independentsentinel.com) I will concede that this trial had virtually no chance of convicting Sussman from the beginning given that it was in DC. One of the jurors daughters apparently played on the same sports team as Sussman's daughter. Are you kidding me??? Sussmann trial jury features three Clinton donors, AOC donor and close connection to Sussmann: Turley | Fox News Having pointed out the obvious flaws with this trial we do have to accept the verdict one way or another. No violent riots. No burning and looting.?

Why are thieves carrying calculators as they fill shopping carts with items before walking out? They are totaling up the value so that it does not exceed $950. California's Prop 47 leads to rise in shoplifting, thefts, criminal activity across state | Fox News Stealing less than $950 under Proposition 47 means it's only a misdemeanor and not a felony. It's not legal but for all intents and purposes misdemeanors like this either don't get prosecuted or at worst just a slap on the wrist. You're welcome.

Over doses of teens of America
ironstone replied to Robert Salyers's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It is sad that there is so much demand for this stuff but Republicans aren't really talking about closing down the border so much as actually enforcing existing laws which makes sense. Once again much of the blame for the fentanyl epidemic can be laid directly on China and the weak Biden administration. How much do Hunter Biden's business deals with the CCP influence his fathers stance on China? -
I think around that time or just prior there were likely a lot of pot users being thrown in jail under Liberal rule too.

Over doses of teens of America
ironstone replied to Robert Salyers's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
And Biden and his puppeteers still do nothing to stem the flow of fentanyl into the country. He and the Democrats don't appear to be concerned about it at all and of course he is content to keep the southern border open which is a very important route for fentanyl smuggling. -
In the last 50-60 years has any conservative government(federal) ever done anything more overreaching than what Liberals have used? Anything which has quashed certain rights more than the War Measures Act or the Emergencies Act? On the subject of flags I think it is patriotic to fly the Canadian flag but I think it's equally patriotic to fly one of those F*CK Trudeau flags. Perhaps more so.

Liberals easy on crime
ironstone replied to Robert Salyers's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Crime is up but it seems to be up way more in Democratic run cities. I hope most people with even a little bit of common sense would admit that the Democrats soft on crime policies have been a colossal failure and actually pretty much incentivize crime. Democrats Run America's Top 20 Crime-Ridden Cities - Tennessee Star America’s Top 20 Cities for Crime, and What Party Runs Them (dailysignal.com) Crime can flourish more easily when idiot, woke politicians order law enforcement to turn a blind eye and DA's set ridiculously low bail even for violent offenders. -
I would agree with you on that, giving citizens more opportunity to vote in individual issues would be a step up. I still say having the ability to vote is not something to be taken lightly but I kind of get when many people are fed up with the current choices we have. No leader or political party is perfect but I hope at the very least I will choose to support the party that won't screw me over as much as the other parties.

I'm pleased that the PC's won a strong majority but disappointed by the low voter turnout. Ford won't solve all of our problems but compared with the far-left two major opponents he is clearly the best of the worst. Having the right to vote is a wonderful thing and it's a pity so many people just can't be bothered to do it.

Black Lives Matter was an extremely successful scam which is likely still taking in tons of money from those stupid enough to donate. The founders have publicly admitted they are "trained Marxists" which should have set off alarm bells from the get go. They have become multi millionaires through this despicable scam. I can imagine the founders being in a state of shock that this whole corrupt money making exercise succeeded way beyond their wildest dreams. And the fact that they are under investigation now? It's racism of course!

Are people more racist today
ironstone replied to Robert Salyers's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I don't think people are more racist today but in a sense we are now living in a constant state of apprehension because of the fear of being labelled racist for anything and everything. I should point out this state of apprehension applies primarily to white people who get blamed for all the world's problems. It is the left that is always using identity politics as a weapon. They don't care about character, it's all about skin colour. -
So are you suggesting that all states should have identical laws? Why a city like Chicago has such a high murder rate likely has a lot to do with the culture. Single moms are the norm and the traditional family has gone by the wayside. Illinois gun laws aren't working are they? And it still does not dawn on you that criminals don't give a rat's ass about all those Democratic style gun laws. Commit a crime with a gun? Move on to that George Soros funded DA!
-
No, the point I was trying to make was about people not obeying all laws, in particular criminals. A lot of states have all kinds of differences in law. The criminals simply do not care too much and they take full advantage of states that are soft on crime, like California where it is now pretty much legal to steal up to a $950 limit. Insanity.
-
But it is against the law in Chicago so in theory there should be drastically fewer gun crimes. Why isn't everyone just obeying the law there? Some states have different speed limits and when visitors from out of state drive there, they are expected to obey the laws in other states. That goes for all laws.? You are correct that guarded borders work well. Think of the Biden inspired chaos at the southern border(where there isn't actually a border now apparently). But that's another topic.

Trudeau wants to ban handguns and toys?
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm not sure what it's like in Canada but there was always a big stink in some US cities that allowed the police to do stop and frisk. The primary complaint was that was that it was...you guessed it, racist. It seems most of the one's being stopped and frisked were of the non-white persuasion. Never mind that the police did manage to get an awful lot of guns off the streets. If some punk get's his illegal weapons confiscated that's a great thing. The end did justify the means. Crime dropped under stop-and-frisk, which is worth remembering in the rush to criticize it (nbcnews.com) -
Trudeau wants to ban handguns and toys?
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Are you opposed to hunters being allowed to own firearms? I see nothing wrong with that. I have no problem with people that own handguns(legally) either. They have taken a restricted firearms course in order to own one and they are used for firing ranges. People in rural areas like myself often will have a small calibre rifle like a 22 for pest control. There are people that have a good reason for owning a firearm. But the punks doing most of the shooting on the streets of our cities have nothing to worry about as far as the law is concerned. A very interesting documentary by Ottawa U professor John Robson. -
