Hunter Biden Must Be Jailed
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The MSM is starting to mention this story but ever so reluctantly. On CNN.com they actually spin it in a way that Hunter is more of a victim than anything else. They actually say he's using his dad's name to make money as though he alone is the only one involved. He is also the subject of a "partisan investigation"! The MSM will clearly go to any length to protect the Democrats. Makes me want to hurl. -
Over the last week my opinion of Will Smith really went into the toilet and not just for the slap. Larry Elder played a brief bit of a Smith song in which he called Elder an Uncle Tom. I shouldn't have been surprised that Smith is just like 99.9% of most other Hollywood script-readers when it comes to politics. I had never even heard of the story of this other young guy that she seduced until last week. She must really have total domination over Smith in every way. Candace Owens has a great take on this incident and plays a very creepy clip of Smith and his wife talking about her affair(s)?. Will Smith is apparently kind of a prick to work with.

Trudeau Gets Slammed At NATO Meeting
ironstone replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
That criticism you speak of was pretty mild in my opinion and they were clearly reluctant to mention it. It would have been much more intense had a Conservative been at the centre of it. Politicians on the political left have a much longer leash to play on. Trudeau is a pretty dismal leader and there is no getting around that fact. I personally wouldn't call him a dictator but he is a piss poor PM to put it charitably. Eleven times left-wing politicians and the legacy media called Harper a dictator | True North (tnc.news) -
If it doesn't concern you because it's not happened yet, will you be concerned when it does pass? Or will you be fine with it ? The undeniable fact that they WANT to do this should be a gigantic warning sign to all Canadians.
-
The Liberals are trying to get this passed one way or another in order to regulate social media and streaming. If it's stalled now it will be resurrected again. To me it means they want to limit what we can say and what we can see. How is that not going to be a form of censorship?

How did you feel about all the vitriol directed at Stephen Harper?

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
ironstone replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I finally do see some encouraging news on the nuclear front. But it will be a ways off yet with the first one set to be completed in 2028. Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Alberta agree on plan to build small nuclear reactors | Financial Post Abundant energy is great and if it's affordable, even better. -

My boss has a Tesla Model S which I believe is a 2016 model year. He loves the fact that it's super quick and cost's way less to drive monthly than his Ram truck. It has around 100,000km on it which isn't really high mileage for any modern car. He just noticed a strange sound coming from the car recently. He was told it's a drivetrain issue and it will be $20,000 to repair the problem. I'm guessing Tesla will be replacing some major components. He's very fortunate that his car is just barely within the warranty period and the cost will be covered. I would hope this wouldn't be a normal thing to expect every 100,000km. My $21,000 2016 has 160,000km with one minor recall, a parking brake issue. I hope the EV's will eventually match the long term reliability of the best ICE cars of today. Last and certainly not least, not everyone has the means to just run out and buy an EV. Used cars are a bit of a gamble depending on where they are bought. Some people trade cars often while many do not. I tend to keep my cars a long time. I'm close to 60 and have owned only 7 vehicles in my lifetime. -
It took me about a minute to find a video of this guy with three cops on him. It's only 30 odd seconds long and I don't know what happened just before either. One cop gives three very hard knees to the man on the ground, just like a UFC move. And you're still standing by, "this never happened!" ?

You answered nope to my second question which clearly means you're fine with a Liberal government taking more control of what we can see and hear but you would not like it if it was a Conservative government doing it. Gotcha.
-
True North, Post Millennial,Rebel News. These are much smaller media outlets and they don't get government money. They cover stories that you likely won't see in the Canadian MSM not to mention that there is actually another side to the story. Lauren Southern is great too. I can see you shaking your head and cursing out BS! It's bad enough we have to fund the CBC never mind the media bailout by Trudeau.
-
So are you suggesting that people should only trust what the government tells us 100%? Would you feel the same if it was a Conservative government doing the same thing? I don't trust the Trudeau government by a long shot and I believe most of their policies are just bad. I don't feel threatened by other information sources and I'm always free to make up my own mind. I think some of the independent media outlets are much better than Global, CTV, CBC and most of the major daily papers. Most of the mainstream sources are like bar talk except it's about many leftists in complete agreement. Remember that the Trudeau government at one time was considering forcing news outlets to be licensed. Only if they met government approval of course.

I missed this fake CBC story on the truckers convoy. CBC's 'regretful' trucker convoy protester story falls apart | The Post Millennial Also the man in the story is apparently collecting welfare checks from different provinces. I didn't know that was still so easy to do.

Hunter Biden Must Be Jailed
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I would say that the Trump family fortune comes primarily from real estate while the Biden family fortune comes primarily from 50 years in politics and pay to play. -

What happens in American politics can have an effect on Canadians. Don't you remember the mouse and elephant analogy from PET? Pipelines, lumber, tariffs...all of those issues and more are important to Canadians. -
Trudeau Impresses European Parlaiment
ironstone replied to ExFlyer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Naturally on the CBC they spin this story to attack those that dared to criticize the great Justin Trudeau. Trudeau faced harsh critics in the EU Parliament this week. Here's who launched the attacks | CBC News -
You're in Atlantic Canada right?
-
Umm.. you do know that governments get their money from the working people right? Liberals, NDP and to a slightly lesser extent Conservatives are all very generous with our money. At the end of the day us working stiffs will have to foot the bill.
-
I think you totally missed the point of the True North article in that the MSM in Canada were denying any sort of backroom deal was ever in the works while the Conservatives were right about it all along.

Tulsi Gabbard calls out 'hypocrisy and absurdity' of Ketanji Brown Jackson's refusal to define 'woman' | The Post Millennial One would assume that someone that's going to be on the Supreme Court would be able to define what a woman is. If you did, you would be wrong. This is the wonderful world of Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden Must Be Jailed
ironstone replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Due process is fundamentally important to the justice system but I must point out that Donald Trump was declared guilty by the Democratic shills in the MSM. These two men have been treated in polar opposite ways by the MSM. I would defy anyone to tell me that Hunter Biden is anything other than a drug addicted , extremely well paid go between for his equally corrupt daddy. -
The link I posted earlier isn't too clear on how or when he became a multimillionaire but it says he was only a lawyer for 6 years. This is also from that link: Jagmeet Singh has a net worth of $4 from his legal and political career. He was a lawyer for six years before he decided to join politics. Some of his wealth is from his time as a lawyer although he used to do a lot of pro bono work so his real wealth from law might not be known. The author that wrote that article really gushes over Singh and how wonderful he is.?
-
You are absolutely right. This site says Jagmeet has a net worth of $4,000,000. Jagmeet Singh Net Worth, Age, Height, Wealth (Updated 2022) (susankatzkeating.com) Justin Trudea: Justin Trudeau Net Worth | TheRichest I don't begrudge these silver spoon socialists because they're wealthy, it's because they have no clue what's like for Mr. and Mrs. Joe average . The policies of Trudeau's government alone were bad enough but now that they formed a coalition with a party who's policies are arguably even worse, it's going to get an awful lot more expensive for working Canadians.
