  1. I did post a link earlier about the CO2 emissions from the shipping industry vs those from ICE cars. Here's another one. The 16 biggest ships produce more pollution than all the cars in the World | LNG Transfer I'm wondering why they are focusing almost totally on ICE car owners and doing little or nothing about shipping. Maybe it's the usual thing, go after the low hanging fruit approach. Fighting alleged man made global warming might be done in a smarter way than just going after cars. If the 16 biggest ships in the world produce more emissions than ALL THE CARS IN THE WORLD, surely it would be smarter to refit a relative handful of ships for a fraction of the cost and go nuclear. 2. An interesting article on CO2 emissions. But if CO2 drives temperature... - Climate Discussion Nexus All kinds of very interesting videos on climate change. From the 97% consensus myth to the guru of climate change Greta Thunberg. Video - Climate Discussion Nexus
  3. I'm quite certain that even with that tax rebate for that average family of four, they are falling behind overall because of the massive increase in the price of gas which has caused prices of just about everything else to go up. $745 dollars right now pays for about half of the gas that it did a year or so ago. I'm on the side that thinks we should pull out of the Paris Climate Accord.
  4. Ok got it. China is still building coal plants on a massive scale because they don't have a viable replacement for an energy source at this time. I wonder how much of their energy needs could have been met with a cleaner source of energy like natural gas? I have no problem with anyone wanting to own an EV of course but I don't want to give them a big subsidy when buying the car either. It's astronomically costly to force people to buy these things when we don't have the infrastructure to support it nor the electrical capacity. The world should not want to be reliant on China in any way. Mining executives warn Ottawa about dependence on China for strategic minerals amid deteriorating relations | National Post
  5. So we shouldn't bat an eye about China's massive reliance on coal because that's useful idiot mentality? And we shouldn't bat an eye about most of our solar panels and wind turbines coming from China? Most of the rare earth minerals are going to be coming from..you guessed it..China. And once again we should not be concerned? Canada will likely lag behind here too because aren't environmentalists strongly opposed to mining on Canadian soil? From a global perspective are you more concerned about Canadian or Chinese emissions right now?
  6. Why is F1 not completely using battery power now with not an ICE engine to be found in any of their race cars? Why not build totally battery powered F1 cars while keeping all the races the same distance and number of laps? What is stopping them?
  7. Since global warming is ostensibly a global problem I'm still left wondering how much Canada's actions will offset the rapidly rising emissions of China. They won't. The fight against global warming rests entirely on western style democracies. Wow what a shock, didn't see that coming. China is still building more and more coal fired plants on it's own soil, not to mention they are financing and building hundreds of others in other countries. Commentary: China is building 184 coal plants - Guess what that will do to carbon emissions? - Canadian Energy Centre I'm not suggesting Canada do nothing either but does anyone seriously think China is going to watch and emulate Canada?
  8. I think this link says more about F1 than just the race cars themselves. The Logistics behind F1. How Formula 1 teams transport their… | by Roshni Iyengar | The Speedbox Chronicles | Medium The Gigantic Carbon Footprint Of Formula One - CleanTechnica
  9. Given how pathetic the MSM is I actually think they approve of where the country is at now and what Biden's done but they are also very concerned about their party being able to win the midterms and in 2024. It's not really up to Biden whether or not he runs again, it's up to his puppet masters. They have to find some new face to distract the American public from Biden's dismal record as president. Dana Perino summed it up nicely in that Biden and his team at the White House and the MSM complain that it's merely a problem of communication and Joe has to get the message out more. But of course Joe Biden is the last person in the world anyone would want to go out and speak more. I have sympathy for Biden's daughter.
  10. This has to be the ultimate in hypocrisy! A Formula 1 driver shows up at the Canadian Grand Prix wearing an anti oilsands shirt. While his team is sponsored by a Saudi oil company. What an complete hypocrite and then some!! F1 driver Sebastian Vettel arrives at Montreal Grand Prix in anti-oilsands T-shirt (msn.com) Yet another example of an elite telling us "Do as I say, not as I do". Hey Vettel! What's the total carbon footprint of Formula 1?? Where are those EV Formula 1 race cars?
  11. You say Republicans have packed the court. Fair point but when have either the Republicans or Democrats NOT put in nominees that would tend to favour their side? Packing the court is one thing but expanding the court for the sole purpose of getting your way is another. Here's something else to consider about Democrat appointed judges vs Republican appointed judges: Liberal Supreme Court justices vote together more than conservatives (usatoday.com) The voting record of said judges tends to indicate that Democratic judges do not stray from their ideology nearly as often as their Republican appointed counterparts.
  12. With respect to the filibuster some Democrats change their opinions as the wind shifts. It works for us, we like it. It doesn't work for us, we want to change it. Democrats on the Filibuster: Then and Now (yahoo.com) Both sides always challenge nominees, no surprise there. But one side, the Democrats, tend to be way more aggressive (aggressive is putting it mildly) in attacking nominees. Vicious and malicious in fact. Calling them serial rapists not too long ago. Democrats are also fine with Republican appointed SC judges being harassed in front of their homes and receiving death threats. I also think it's rather foolish to expand the SC in order to ram through an agenda since the pendulum tends to swing and what would stop the Republicans from expanding it further for their benefit?
  13. The question should be: What do the Democrats believe in? Get rid of the filibuster? Why do Biden and the Democrats want to kill the filibuster? | Daily Mail Online More Democrats Join Effort to Abolish the Filibuster - The New York Times (nytimes.com) Get rid of the electoral college system? Since 2001, Democrats Objected 3 Times to Electoral College Certification (dailysignal.com) Not believing in the judicial system(unless it rules your way)? Democrats to introduce bill to expand Supreme Court from 9 to 13 justices (nbcnews.com)
  14. Does North America have the ability to be energy independent with oil and gas? Yes or no? Canada has the 3rd largest proven oil reserves in the world. The US was in the number 10 position and they did have energy independence under Trump. I would blame it primarily on leadership and ideology. Venezuela has the largest reserves..but they went full-on socialist so their economy went down the toilet. The Saudis are number 2. They smartly exploit their natural resource to the fullest and I would wager they are also investing heavily in alternative energy sources too. If we had competent leadership in Canada and the US we could seriously put pressure on OPEC. But we don't.?
  15. Once again another gem from Mark Dice. There have been enormous changes for Americans since Biden took office. Let's see: record high gas prices and inflation, the Taliban controls Afghanistan, Putin has chosen to take military action and China may soon follow suit. Crime is rising particularly in Democratic run cities. Southern border is wide open, hundreds of thousands of illegals streaming across monthly along with fentanyl. Schools are being overrun with drag queens. A recession is coming. Is any of this not factual?
  16. There are more political parties than one might imagine. With proportional representation it might get kind of crazy. National Results Election Result Help | Elections Canada Interesting that the PPC got more then twice the votes that the Greens did but of course no seats. Many of the other parties I've never heard of before.
  17. It would certainly help if certain leaders weren't so dependent on OPEC while having the ability to ramp up their own oil production to make up for the shortfall but they won't. Joe Biden asks OPEC to up oil output while limiting U.S. energy production - Washington Times Trudeau and Biden-domestic oil production bad, OPEC oil good! Let's bring that OPEC oil over here via those enormous ships(mentioned above)causing even more emissions.
  18. I wonder what's in store for the worlds shipping industry? Big polluters: One massive container ship equals 50 million cars (newatlas.com) Will David Suzuki and AOC demand the switch to electric ships? Back to sails?? Ships emit way more than all the cars in the world..but we're still going to save the planet by forcing people to buy EV's?
  19. Back when D'Souza was charged for using straw donors to donate to Republicans he pointed out that Rosie O'Donnell publicly bragged about doing the same thing but to more Democratic candidates and with more money overall. $20,000 D'Souza(Republicans) vs $90,000 O'Donnell(Democrats). O'Donnell was not charged. Dinesh D'Souza demands equal justice for Rosie O'Donnell's FIVE violations. He was indicted for just one. (bizpacreview.com) Justice is certainly not applied equally.
  20. Ben Shapiro vs AOC! Now wouldn't that be something if the rock star of the Democratic party actually ventured out of her bubble to engage in a one on one debate with Ben Shapiro. But she won't because she is deeply afraid to be challenged on anything. Earlier I stated that Shapiro offered $10 grand to a charity of AOC's choice but he actually offered it to her campaign. A very generous offer. Politicians like her should be challenged. Judging by the fawning coverage she get's from the MSM she must be the smartest and most influential in the Democratic party today.?
  21. Would you pit Biden, AOC, Maxine Watters, Adam Schiff, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders(the brightest minds in the Democratic party?) or any Democrat you care to name against the likes of Ben Shapiro, Charlie Kirk or Dinesh D'Souza? Are you kidding? There are actually some Youtube videos of real debates with some of the above mentioned conservatives and typically the lefty get's his/her/whatever gender pronoun handed back to them on a platter. Ben Shapiro did make a generous offer of $10,000 to a charity of AOC's choice if she would debate him but she did not respond. She did not want to leave her safe space and be exposed for being out of her depth. Charlie Kirk debates all the time and so does D'Souza. Taking questions from lefties and making them look foolish. And I would also point out that they do so in a civil manner without resorting to expletives and name calling. Does that sound familiar?
  22. I agree that it's sad the FOX basically has ignored 2000 Mules. The only FOX personality that mentioned it as far as I know was Dan Bongino and that was on his podcast. He simply asked for a credible explanation of what those videos show, people stuffing ballots into drop boxes, taking selfies, disposable gloves, why would any one person have to go to 10 or more drop boxes etc. Still waiting for those credible explanations but I won't hold my breath. Jan 6 has been covered to death already and they are nowhere near done. No coup, no insurrection. Rioting, and a small minority of those present in the capitol were responsible.
  23. It seems according to your side that geolocation data is only admissible depending on the political leanings of the person it's being used against. Opinion | They Stormed the Capitol. Their Apps Tracked Them. - The New York Times (nytimes.com) I'm of the opinion that cell phone tracking can indeed determine whether a person is stopped or speeding. My cell phone tells me how fast I'm driving and exactly where I happen to be. You didn't read the post which stated that there were supposed to be cameras at all the drop box locations but at many locations they conveniently got turned off or were never set up in the first place. The cell phone data also indicated that the mules were not just passing by, but happened to stop at the drop box locations. Highly suspicious to me but not even remotely suspicious to you. So be it, we can look at the same things and come to different conclusions. That is life. You look at Joe Biden and perhaps see the most charismatic, most popular, intelligent leader of our time. I look at Biden and see someone that has enormous difficulty with communication and is in cognitive decline, not to mention likely very corrupt an certainly not the one in control. We agree to disagree, same as usual.
  24. Apparently they were supposed to have cameras at each drop box location but there weren't, or they were turned off. The non-profit organization, True the Vote, bought vast amounts of this type of cell phone data for geo-tracking in five cities in the key swing states. They looked specifically at areas surrounding the drop boxes. Wanting the lowest margin of error, the researchers only investigated phones that went to a minimum of 10 drop boxes and five ballot collection sites. In one case, the cell phone traveled across six counties to 27 different drop boxes. Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips, working for True the Vote, tracked 2,000 cell phones making such patterns. Not included in their research were cell phones that traveled to fewer than 10 drop boxes, or fewer than five ballot collection sites. Therefore, the data presented in this film actually under-represents the amount of illegal ballot harvesting in the election. The complaints about 2000 Mules: How do you know who had the phone? How do you know they weren’t just dropping off ballots for family members? How do you know they weren’t just walking by the drop box? Why isn’t there surveillance video footage of these people? Geo-tracking of cell phones isn’t valid evidence. First, a cell phone does not travel from drop box to drop box by itself. It is carried by someone, usually the person who owns the phone. Frequently, these people took selfies of themselves at the drop boxes to verify that they actually did what they were being paid to do – at $10 per ballot. Were these people, all 2,000 of them, just dropping off ballots for family members? Why would someone have to go to 10 or more drop boxes, between the hours of 1:00AM and 5:00AM, the time all of these phones were tracked, to drop off grandma’s ballot? Remember the case I cited above – 26 drop boxes across six counties? As Dinesh D’Souza asks, “Can you think of even one reasonable and innocent explanation for such behavior?” I can’t. Furthermore, people were not “just walking by” the drop boxes. The tracking shows people going TO the drop boxes, staying there a few minutes while they stuffed ballots in the boxes, and then leaving away from the boxes. In order to get to the drop boxes, these “mules” had to drive from box to box to box, often crossing county lines, and sometimes even crossing state lines. In the wee small hours of the morning. All of that movement recorded. They were not “walking by.” As for the all-important question about video footage, there are actually 4 million minutes of video footage. Some of it shows the mules at the drop boxes, and it matches up precisely with the cell phone data. Unfortunately, a lot of the footage is of low quality, or even non-existent – a big problem and a big question mark. In Arizona, the cameras were mysteriously, and conveniently, turned off when these drops were being made. In other places, like Wisconsin, cameras were never installed, even though they were supposed to be. And in other places, the cameras were angled at the ground, or the lenses were cracked, etc. Pretty convenient.
