  1. The similarities between the Provincial and Federal Liberal campaign styles are startling. Trudeau is well known for indulging in full out identity politics and now Wynne has shown that she is more than willing to embrace such divisive methods. On Friday, speaking at Humber college, Wynne told her audience “If you don’t vote, then somebody who looks like me is going to vote, some senior person, older than me, some white person.” http://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/agar-wynne-demonizes-old-white-voters-in-grasp-for-votes?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#link_time=1521546671 So now Wynne is willing to make what could be considered to be racist statements and indulge in aegism in order to be re elected. the interesting part of all this is the fact that Liberals claim to be the party of inclusion, opposed to racism and embracing all demographics. Yet here Wynne is clearly practising the opposite of those ideals. Also interesting is the fact that this has flown largely under the radar. The stink of desperation is obvious and odious about this woman, sorry, I meant wopeople.
  2. Gotta love it when the arm chair soldiers sit there and tell you what isn't important in this particular profession. Of course those same arm chair soldiers have never had to make a 30 k forced march with full kit in 110 deg weather either so it's quite easy to opine on something of which you have zero knowledge. I also enjoy hearing them inform us as to how modern warfare is practiced, once again with zero knowledge of the subject. Here's a clue, physical conditioning and strength are incredibly important, always have been and always will be.
  3. Why would there be much about him? He was an interpreter, not a significant historical figure. Should we also have reams of information about Champlains cook?
  4. It's becoming more and more apparent daily that the current PM believes that his, and only his views are correct, and should be adhered to by everyone. Like it or not.
  5. Exactly. He showed us that we aren't some unique singular creation of an omnipotent entity but rather a small part of a greater whole.
  6. Who knows? Perhaps Canada would be a good place for a Sikh homeland, lots of space and welcoming of radicals and extremists of all types. Not to mention that there is no core identity in Canada and it's the first post national state.
  7. Stephen Hawking has Died. This is a true loss for the scientific community and the world in general. His insights taught us about not just ourselves, but the Universe in which we exist. He passed away in the early hours of the morning, March 14 fitting that it was international Pi day. RIP Stephen. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/science-mourns-stephen-hawkings-death/
  8. Yeah, the young fella has a set of pipes. It's good to see kids making good music, not just rap, pop, or electro garbage. Here's a radio interview with them, it's pretty interesting. From Frankenmuth of all places.
  9. I first heard these guys on the radio on my way home from work. At first I wasn't sure what I thought of them, a rip off maybe? After a little research I've decided that I really enjoy what they're doing. So I bought the CD. It's that rarest of rare items nowdays, a release without a single bad song, every one on the disc is good. Here's their entire first album.
  10. Here's a good one from Peter Gabriel. He performed this years ago and it's still as relevant today as it was then.
  11. Nice to know that you're all for mass executions. That's very progressive of you.
  12. I'm not surprised. Traditionally that's how these things have always played out on the dark continent. Before anyone starts screaming racist, dark continent is what Africa was called in the past, a historical term.
  13. The Covenant is a great book, I read it years ago, lately I've been thinking about reading it again. Currently I'm reading Birds of Prey by Michener. It's about the Corsair's, specifically the Nautoniers, a seafaring offspring of the Nights Templar. It's set around the coast of South Africa and tells the story of an English knight and his son, how they raided and fell afoul of the Dutch East India Trading Company. I haven't finished it yet but I'm sure young Hal will avenge his fathers death by drawing and quatering, and will eventually carry the day. Love Michener, always a great read.
  14. So what point are you making as it pertains to this situation? Are you saying that it's all hunky dory because of that past injustice? That the only way to right an injustice is to commit a further injustice? I'm not sure if the stat still holds true but South Africa was known as the murder capitol of the world. I'm thinking that what will happen will eclipse the situation that first earned it that title.
  15. True, or their other favourite when they don't like what they hear, hyperbole.
  16. One way we could bring it up a notch or two would be if Liberal cheerleaders were to actually look at the reality of the situation and stop denying facts. I know, that's just too much to ask. By the way, it's a fact that our relations with the Chinese have worsened, also the Philipinnes. Not to mention India, who's PM couldn't even be bothered to meet with Trudeau until the day before he left, and took the opportunity to send a not so veiled message to him. Of course you'll claim it's just normal to send a low level casually dressed member of the government to greet foreign leaders, sure. The list indeed does go on, but I can't really be bothered as I know you'll just categorically deny everything. Indeed the world is laughing at Canada and Trudeau. You may not like that but your dislike isn't going to stop them from laughing.
  17. He's far beyond annoying. I'm not sure if you've been paying attention but he's established a habit of making Canada a laughingstock around the world. His policies are dangerous and expensive. He's damaging our international relations with quite a few countries, the list just goes on and on. As for Scheer this religious policy crap is just that, made up hogwash. In fact whenever the media tries to trip him up with it his answers are reasoned and balanced. Not one single time has he been heard to utter anything policy related that is influenced by religion. Rather than regurgitating Liberal fear provoking lies it would be better to actually listen to the man and learn what the truth actually is.
  18. Unfortunately this is pretty much what I expected. I'm sure it'll get worse though. Since he was elected it's been a steady down hill progression from him.
  19. Many years ago the science fiction writer Robert A Heinlein proposed that a voter must earn the right to vote. His book Starship Troopers further expounded on this idea. There is a lot to be said in favour of this proposition. It would help ensure voters who are invested in the process rather than voters who cast a ballot on a whim or for trivial reasons.
  20. Once again the simpletons response, the common low brow insult. You know absolutely nothing of me. Your attempts to inpugn my character merely reflect poorly on you. I have noticed that you never address a point, you just insult. I think I'm done with you now. If you should grow up a little I might lower myself to engage you further.
  21. So you believe anyone offended by blatant race bating lies is a hillbilly? How very Liberal of you. It just never ends with you does it. You'll defend the indefensible, and when shown to be foolish in such a course you simply jump to generalizations and insults. Here's a clue, it doesn't work, nor does it make you look very good or credible.
  22. Really. They went on for month after month every night about Duffy, even though there was nothing new to report. CTV didn't even need facts or fact checking for the Brown saga, just jump in and go all out, thus a $10 million lawsuit resulted. In this case however the entire attitude appears to be a nothing to see here folks, just move along kind of thing. Given past precedent it looks just a little fishy. Unless of course you don't want to see what's there.
  23. To a large degree they would. However given the media's left leaning slant that's obvious to all but those who are willfully blind to it, I doubt it could ever be completely dispelled.
  24. It's hard to believe but there hasn't been a word about this in the news lately. While the media continues the Patrick Brown saga add nauseum this one apparently has disappeared. Who woulda thunk it! It's almost like there's an effort at hand to make this just vanish. That's crazy though, right.
