Maybe Macron can call his good buddy Trudeau and ask if he'll hop on over to France and explain to the people how diversity can be their strength too.

He's reforming alright, the problem being that his reforms do more damage than good. France is screwed, they've even been discussing splitting the country now along a French and a Muslim divide. In other words, France is lost. That'll never happen here though, we only get the good inva ...errr...I mean immigrants. All you have to do is pretend that the distinct enclaves now forming in Canada don't exist and it'll all be sunni ways for all our days.

Saudi Arabia expells Canadian ambassador
AngusThermopyle replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why yes, yes I will criticize them. If they knew anything at all about the Kingdom they'd know that things are done very privately in that country. Deals and arrangements are made behind closed doors, that's how it is and always has been. If you don't play by those rules then they don't let you play at all. This is something you'd expect the current government to know and understand. In fact the Saudi's have been taking steps, small, but steps nonetheless towards a society that is more free. Perhaps you may not think it's enough, they don't care. Tact and diplomacy are the only things that matter when dealing with them. Once again the Trudeau Liberals have screwed up royally. I can't think of anything they haven't screwed up actually. -
The Kryptonite of Justin Trudeau
AngusThermopyle replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Another highly innaccurate post. First of all, Justin Trudeau himself is his own Kryptonite, he does the oppositions work for them every time he opens his mouth. Maybe you haven't been paying attention but the position he so deired appears to be taking it's toll on him, he's been looking haggard and flabby lately. As for not being able to say no, that's bull. He has no problem saying no to seniors, vets and Christian groups among others. He just says yes to immigrants, LGBTQ and Muslims. Seriously, do you even live in the same Canada as the rest of us? -
As a Canadian we spend Jack shit on defense. Seriously, we under fund the Forces at an almost criminal level. Pretty hard to spend less than almost nothing. As for the rest of your comment, well it's so juvenile it isn't even worth answering.

Breaking news! Wynne and company spotted at Pearson booking one way flights to nice non extradition countries! Nah, just kidding. There's probably more than a few former Liberal cabinet members sh*tting bricks right now though. It takes quite a bit of work to blow through 180 billion or so in 15 years.

The Germans have been doing it for years. The Meko class Frigates are of a modular design that allows quick changes in weapons, sensors and other systems to be made easily. Way back in the early eighties I thought these ships would be a good fit for Canada rather than our own Canadian designed ones. They would have been cheaper too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEKO

Maybe don't post incorrect information such as this then. Or if you do maybe indicate that it's nothing but crap put into words. That way people will know, or at least have some idea of what you're trying to say.

I still have no idea what you're talking about. I was a member of the CAF in 1982. There were no Natives looking after anyone, in fact there were extremely few anywhere in the forces and they certainly weren't looking after a thousand men, or any men for that matter. The very few that I met were like any other member, just members working their way up like everyone else. If you were in the CAF why would you have a cop as a trainer. All training in the CAF is handled by CAF members. It was that way in 82 and it's still that way to this day. As for not letting immigrants in, what the hell was he smoking? They had no choice in the matter, they were conquered, simple as that. They didn't magnanimously say "hey lets let these people move in". They couldn't have stopped them if they'd tried, and many did try.
-
WTF are you talking about? There was no CAF in the 1490's, in fact Canada didn't exist as Canada in the 1490's. John Cabot embarked on the Matthew at Bristol on the 20th May 1497. In the 1490's not only did the CAF not exist, there were most certainly not thousands of members. As for the rest of what you post about First Nations members looking after thousands of British members, it's truly not worth answering as it's so far out to lunch it's actually dinner. This training officer of yours was either an idiot, or was trying to see how many idiots he could bull shit.

What to do about those poor folks trapped in a cave....
AngusThermopyle replied to betsy's topic in The Rest of the World
Well...they found their way in there...they should find their way out. (Anticipating the vehement denunciations of my character for even thinking of such a callous thing.) -
Man! You really do have a comprehension problem don't you. Once again, I don't give a sh*t about Trump. You're the one who eats, sleeps and breathes Trump. My only concern about him relates to how he affects Canada when dealing with our totally inept frat boy PM. In a way I feel sorry for you, living every moment of every day obsessed with someone who has no personal contact or interaction with you. That must be a truly sad existence.

So show me where I ever wished Canada into the ground, go on, I'll wait. As for your typical snide response to my prior comment. I question your patriotism. All I know of you and Diahlama indicates that both of you like to sit and pass judgement on others, question their underlying beliefs, yet you yourself have never made any sacrifice for your country. And no, spouting off on line does not count as any kind of personal sacrifice. So go ahead, prove me wrong, you or Diahlama, tell all of us what great personal sacrifice you've made for Canada. As I said, I'll wait. Failing that I'll just regard your opinion on patriotism as what it is, just a bunch of self serving hot air and shit.

Conservative byelection win in Quebec
AngusThermopyle replied to turningrite's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Marijuana is legal? When did that happen? Of course it's ever so convenient when you get to make the laws you want, that provides a nice out. -
What does my question have to do with Trump? It's a very straight forward question. Have you been drinking, or are you simply refining the art of stupid to new levels? If you are questioning my patriotism then I suggest you shut up, get off your ass and march on down to the nearest recruiting center. There you can sign up and devote two decades or more of your life to your country. When you do that I'll listen to anything you have to say about patriotism. Until then all you're doing is spouting off so much hot air.

Conservative byelection win in Quebec
AngusThermopyle replied to turningrite's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This too is turning into a bag of sh*t for Trudeau. Now that the truth is coming out about the whole affair, that Trump made concessions to Trudeau regarding NAFTA. Well...people aren't too impressed with Trudeau trying to play the big man. In fact all I'm hearing now is people saying that they don't blame Trump for being supremely pissed at Trudeau. He didn't help his case at all in QP when the Conservatives specifically asked him about Trump conceding regarding the sunset clause, he then pulled his usual shtick, refusing to answer the very simple question he was asked. The word now is that this whole mess was caused simply by Trudeau's desire to boost his image with Canadians. -
Conservative byelection win in Quebec

This always amuses me. Apparently Ford selling some Hash when he was a teenager is a big deal, but Trudeau wanting to be the biggest single drug dealer in the world is just hunky dory. -
So you believe that if a Canadian criticizes a Canadian political leader or a policy of their country they are not a loyal Canadian? No need for that pesky democracy or freedom of speech. How very totalitarian of you comrade.

So Doug Ford's plan to opt out of Cap-N-Trade which would cost the consumer nothing, only the large companies trading the carbon credits, will now force the feds hand into forcing Ontario into the carbon tax, which will tax everything. This is what happens when you have no plan. Doug, get yourself together, we already got downgraded by investors because you have no plan and investors don't trust your gimmicks. Stop the gravy train is not a plan. This has to be either one of the most dishonest posts, or the most misinformed that has ever been posted here. First point. Cap and Trade does cost the average person. Do you think corporations are just going to eat the cost? No, they pass it on to the consumer, standard practise. Next point. Yes a Carbon tax will raise the price of everything and Ford has said he'll fight it. The case for a Carbon Tax isn't the slam dunk you seem to think it is. Next point. We were downgraded because of Wynne, not Ford. That's a fact, deny it if you want but you'll just be making yourself look even more foolish. So congratulations. You managed to get every point you raised wrong in a spectacular fashion.

When I was a kid back in the seventies I loved White Power. Sadly they went out of business. The White brothers made some of the very best after market performance parts available in Motocross.

Here you go with your TDS again, it really is a sickness with you. I never said anything about Obama, quite frankly he's irrelevant at this point. What I did say is that this is a brilliant tactic, which it is. Everyone knows that Kim is very child like in many ways. what better vehicle to catch the attention of a child than something a child loves? You fill their heads with glorious and grand visions and let them know that those visions could be a reality. It's a hard bait to resist, for anyone, and it appears to have worked.
