Ignatieff supported all those things with the exception of 'increasing the drug war', but he does consider himself American, so Ignatieff=Bush as well. You don't even know which party Joe Clark left.

You could start with the obvious. That man created Gods. As far as probability goes, what is more likely, that a mortal can evolve out of nothing or that an all-powerful god can be created out of nothing?

I would agree that Bush was an idiot. Harper might be stubborn as a politician but he surely isn't like Bush. When people become loyal to a politician or party it clouds their judgement, King Iggy.

I'd argue that for treason, not having the opportunity to learn would be a defense for him specifically. Canada had only been in the conflict for a short time. I'm not saying he didn't commit treason, just that it might be hard to prove. I think it would be easier to convict his mother of treason.

So what you're saying is Ignatieff has no conviction. He's a follower. Ignatieff lost fair and square. Bob Rae supporters voted for the left of centre candidate, who Ignatieff later chose to follow. He supported the proposed coalition agreement. So no.

That was one of the points that stuck out to me. Ignatieff didn't appear to have a problem with Dion taking the partiy not 1, not 2, not 3... steps to the left. He also boasted that he campaigned for Trudeau, who according to his standard (the only job of the PM is to unite the country) would have to be considered a dismal failure, since he gave one part of the country the middle finger. The guy is all over the map.

That has more to do with the aging of our population than anything else. What better reporting is that? Would you agree with a slap on the wrist system, it would be more likely that violent incidents would go unreported out of fear of retribution?

I have to wonder how many property crimes go unreported because it's known the police won't bother doing anything about them. That's been my experience, even with an attempted vehicle theft.

Yes. And if there is evidence he knew Canada had entered the conflict he should be charged. If there isn't trying him in Canada is the same as setting him free.

If I'm his defense lawyer, I'd only have to argue that Omar was in Afghanistan before Canada entered the war and that he had no outside communication. Therefore he wasn't aware that he was committing treasonous acts.

The Conservatives are brutal when it comes to marketing. This just gives Ignatieff another opportunity to communicate his 'we need to do politics differently' message - a message to which Canadians can easily relate. The more the Conservatives keep on with this lame campaign, the better it is for him.
