It's also illegal. Though the murder charge gets most of the headlines, he has been charged with other offenses as well, including attempted murder. I do believe it could be successfully argued that Omar didn't have a choice, because he was raised to be Al Qaeda. But that doesn't make him any less dangerous. He just wasn't a kid going through a period of rebelliousness, he was doing what he was raised from birth to do: fight for Allah. I haven't seen any evidence that his belief system has changed.
