Is Canada's Science Minister a creationalist?
noahbody replied to Chuck U. Farlie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Freud is here in my living room. He would like you to explain how Goodyear's agnostic response in which his words appear to be carefully chosen could be characterized as a slip or a symptom from a Creationist. Can you not see that they could be a political response from a politician? -
Is Canada's Science Minister a creationalist?

I would expect since the Randy White incident that all Tory MPs have been told not to talk about their personal religious beliefs. Have you considered that? If this is the case, as I'm certain it is, wouldn't you agree that it is a good decision to follow your boss's orders? -
Is Canada's Science Minister a creationalist?

He's already made important decisions. Judge him on those. Ironically, you've made up your mind on some 'signal' or personal belief. Not very scientific. -
Is Canada's Science Minister a creationalist?

If he gave funding to the Big Valley Creation Science Museum, I would share your opinion. But he hasn't. He made cuts as he was required to do and people who had their funding cut are unhappy. I somehow doubt any of the funding cuts had to do with studies trying to prove evolution. If they did, good. That was proven long ago and there's no need for further study. Let's look at what was cut before we nail him to a cross. Anyone know if he cut or chose not to cut stem cell research? -
We're In Serious Trouble on Climate
noahbody replied to jbg's topic in Health, Science and Technology
I wouldn't be surprised. It was once known as a lake before my time. It dried up for years. Now it's a lake again. Climate/weather is never constant. How much are you offering to give me? I could really use a Hummer right now... and a SUV. -

One farmer I know might consider stocking his field with fish. It's been a lake for two years. -
Pope says condoms increase the risk of AIDS
noahbody replied to Moonbox's topic in Religion & Politics
Possibly the Pope could ask God to snap his fingers and end AIDS. I think God's made his point that having sex with a monkey will not be permitted. -
It's a great way to position Ignatieff as a friend of the francophone. Quebec, not grassroots, is their priority. Don't be fooled. Why do you think she told you that?

That's not what all the standing water in fields over the last few years would indicate is it? ...or to read your posts. The IPCC's mandate is reliant on manmade global warming. Agreeing it's bunk would see the bank accounts of all its members drops a digit or two. -
Chrysler threatens to pull out of Canada
noahbody replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm not sure how you can look at the situation an claim competition has reduced. In recent years, in particular, we've seen an increase in the product quality of the KIAs and Subarus of the world. They're now in the 'quality car' category. The level of competition has been significantly increased. -
Chrysler threatens to pull out of Canada
noahbody replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There are simply too many players in the automotive category. That's reality. The death of Chrysler will help the others survive. -
Oh come on. If that were true, Tommy Chong would be a complete idiot.

Alberta PC's Attack Property Rights
noahbody replied to Canadian Blue's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
The government was trying to maintain the highway and make it safer. Due to budget, resurfacing then widening at a later date wouldn't be feasible. -
Alberta PC's Attack Property Rights
noahbody replied to Canadian Blue's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
As someone whose family owns farmland and has been in this situation, I think the legislation does require clarity and restrictions, but I do understand the intent. A real life example was a stretch of highway that the government planned to widen as it had no shoulders and was unsafe. To do this required minimal lost acreage. All the farmers along the highway agreed to the government's offering, except one farmer who was displeased with the government and therefore held it for ransom, asking for millions instead of thousands. So the highway further deteriorated for years to the point it was extremely dangerous to drive on in the winter. It's lucky no one was killed. -
Kinsella files $1M lawsuit against Tories, Paradis
noahbody replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Imagine calling someone in politics dishonest. That's absurd. The defense should get to put him on a lie detector and ask him whatever they want, just to test his honesty. -
You have to buy the world a Coke too. Don't be cheap.

I agree. Extreme hatred towards self, others and society can make people do unimaginable things in a fit of rage. This guy apparently has said God told him to do this, but at the scene he admitted he was guilty and asked for the police to kill him. To me, the two stories don't match. If I'm truly insane and doing God's bidding, I wouldn't consider myself guilty.

What part of read the bill do you not understand? The mandatory minimum for less than 200 only applies if the purpose if for trafficking.

If One Defends The Oil Sands, One Should Defend The CBC
noahbody replied to KingIggy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why not combine the two? Little Tar Sands on the Prairie could be one of CBC's best. -
Growing one plant for personal use won't get you 6 months. It's less than 200, with the production purpose being trafficking. Therefore, passing around a joint, though it may be considered trafficking, would not qualify, unless you were dumb enough to say you didn't grow pot for personal use, you did if for your friends. Focusing on one plant is therefore a little ridiculous. How may grow-ops in Canada do you think have a single plant?

The Tories, IMO, are in need of a good ad agency. The strategy behind the Dion is not a leader campaign was especially weak. With Liberal senators delaying bills they had an excellent opportunity to engage Canadians and give them reason to vote for a Tory majority. Instead, they did the short-sighted Dion ads when Harper should have been a bridge not divider. However, with that said, I don't see a story here. No ads here have been approved. They haven't even been produced. They're doing research. Is this something their agency is doing? Have the ideas been presented? Are they doing other approaches and focus testing them?

Is there some new information here we need to be aware of? Link perhaps? Last time you spouted this crap I provided a link so you could read the bill and learn that your claims are false.
