  3. He lives in the rear end. At least, his head does.
  4. Sure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Khadr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Laith_al-Libi Abdurahman Khadr: http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/khadr/alqaedafamily2.html
  5. Maybe you should read up on the Khadrs.
  6. There's plenty of proof he's Al Qaeda. You could even ask his brother.
  7. If you engage in an act of war unlawfully, as Khadr did. Murder in violation of the laws of war is just one of the charges against him. He's also charged with attempted d murder for planting land mines.
  8. That isn't un-Canadian. When the federal government tries to make decisions on things that don't fall within their jurisdiction, provinces routinely tell them to butt out. I'm no fan of Bush at all, but America is our friend and ally. Omar Khadr, while technically a citizen, is our enemy. He is Al Qaeda. Canada is a target of Al Qaeda. As a result of Chretien intervening, his father escaped facing justice for a bombing that killed 17 people... because he was Canadian. Let's not make that same mistake again. If you think Omar's allegiance is with Canada, you're not paying attention. "Fool me once, shame on you" should apply.
  9. The Queen should give you a merit award for humour.
  10. Care about drugs maybe. Don Chretien destroyed trust in government.
  11. I still shake my head at how Chuck Guite only served 1/6 of his sentence (7 months). I assume he's collecting a nice taxpayer-funded pension as well. If that doesn't sent the "crime does pay" message, I don't know what does.
  12. He's supported the green shift, the gun registry and the idea of a coalition with the NDP and the Bloc.
  13. This sounds like the Canadian version of "I did not have sexual relations with that woman...." Just more boring. IMO, calling this scandalous is a bit over the top. Isn't this the church that hid sexual abuse for years?
  14. I think he heard that French bankers use French safes.
  15. Wars can help fight overpopulation. George Bush was a great environmentalist.
  16. Spoken like a true racist.
  17. I believe in global warming and global cooling and that climate shifts. Do I think man can control climate by increasing or reducing its small fraction of CO2? No. As far as gravity is concerned, I don't believe in manmade gravity, even though there is no record of apples falling on heads before our time.
  18. A model is only as good as the data which goes into it. If the data is inaccurate, incomplete or includes unknowns, the resulting information is not going to be accurate. The corrected data showed that it's been warmer in our time.
  19. The reason for all the hysteria in the first place was that 1998 was proclaimed to be the hottest year on record (which was false). Now, we're supposed to ignore 1998. That means all the predictions from models using 1998 data are also false. The actual science experiment here isn't "what will happen to the earth's climate?", it is "can you accurately model the earth's climate?" They've been trying since the 70s. Same characters involved. Until it is proven that they can, we shouldn't assume they can and get hysterical over their predictions.
  20. What part of "Wiikipedia" don't you understand? Sure you can find some fact on it such as "Calgary CMA is the third most diverse in Canada in terms of visible minorities after Toronto and Vancouver when considering only CMAs with population greater than 200,000.[4]" You can also read "Calgary's urban scene has changed considerably since the beginning of the city's rapid growth. It is also starting to become recognized as one of Canada's most diverse cities." And yes you can read what you quoted. What "by far" means is that the author doesn't recognize Edmonton as a major city. In reality, that statement is false. The author also doesn't consider that Calgarians might be anti-liberal party. They are to be defined by the party they vote for. In that case, everyone who votes for the Bloc is a separatist. That's radical.
  21. How long ago? Was it around the time of the NEP by chance? Someone who last saw the Leafs play in '67 might believe they're a great team. Please explain this radical approach to life. Do you mean going to school, getting a job and getting divorced? Calgary is typical million+ city comprised of people from all over Canada and the world. One in every 4.5 Calgarians is a visible minority.
  22. Seems the liberals and ndp are in the same boat.
  23. Sentencing is subject to maximums.
  24. A mandatory minimum doesn't take that away.
