  1. This group is in response to the Union/Liberal/NDP funded Engage Canada who have allready put out a very misleading ad, math is obviously not their strong suit. I guess there was no concern about these 'pacs' until the Conservatives formed one - go figure. And - was there concern over the multi millions spent by the Unions (including the media union) bashing Ontario PCs.. Funny how there's only concern when the conservatives do it.
  2. What a pile of you know what, ..who says they are 'written off' - after 15 years and 5 terms he needs to be there for his young disabled child who has just developed health issues. Maybe you wouldn't want to be there for him but principled caring people would be there for their special needs child.
  3. He isn`t doing anything different then the Liberals did, in fact they spent more than the CPC has.. (and that's from the NDP) Whether it's right or wrong isn't the point, they are being hypocritical as are reporters who forget to mention that. People seem to forget what went on under Chretien and personally I don`t mind being informed which is a lot better than Engage Canada union funded lies. The ad is all baloney. http://blogs.canoe.com/davidakin/politics/engage-canada-vs-evidence-jenni-byrne-and-the-conservatives/ and that group is funded by forced union dues, a variety of left wing groups and Dalton McGuinty architects (and we know how that went for Ontario) yet they first lie is that the are non partisan .. they are anti conservative /Harper and as shown by their first ad - anti truth. The unions in part bought the election for the Ontario Liberals with their multi millions in advertising, fortunately there are limits that kick in when the writ is dropped. VOTE NDP - the very best government unions can buy! If you think your taxes are high now, wait until you have to finance the NDP payback to its unions.
  4. No idea, but I don't know that Howard Knopf, (from my link) lawyer is far right. He's more interested in copyright issues.
  5. Guess you didn't read the 137 pages for starters. Why should the Consortium exclude other media, why not allow other outlets in on the action and why not allow different approaches to the debates.
  6. He just wrote the new CPC attack ad
  7. Exactly. IMO we would all like to see some debates, I'd say 4 or 5 max. as there is only so much you can stand - I'm looking forward to see how Trudeau does - has anyone heard that they have requested a teleprompter for him?
  8. Yup, but we have to keep it to ourselves doncha know.
  9. So...A mean drunk shouts the F word and HRITP at a soccer game then loses his job but a mean drunk shouts the F word twice on Parliament but still sits as an Honourable MP... hmmmm
  10. A good piece by copyright lawyer Howard Knopf on the fact that media themselves are now starting to become part of the story. The documentation seems to suggest a planned political attack against the Conservatives by Canadian major media news outlets, coordinated by CBC; all the while knowing their position on copyright and attack ads was legally weak . So just maybe, this is why the CPC wants a different way of running the debates. http://excesscopyright.blogspot.ca/2014/10/copyright-and-political-ads-inisght.html
  11. The new Climate Consensus: apocalyptic climate claims are based on 97% bullshit and 3% wishful thinking.

    1. Shady

      Shady

I think you're under estimating their wishful thinking. But I could be giving them too much credit.

    2. On Guard for Thee

      On Guard for Thee

Lets see, you got that (science) from Breitbart I bet. Ha ha

    3. On Guard for Thee

      On Guard for Thee

Well where is the link or are we just supposed to buy more naysayer BS that came from their crystal ball.

  12. Really - Seriously ... sigh where's the tin foil hat
  13. The CPC stance is strictly one of banning a face covering during a citizenship ceremony, nothing else, so the scope is not that wide and justifiable IMO. Considering how many thousands of Muslims Canada has taken in with no plans to for a reduction, the hyperbole and rhetoric coming from Trudeau is ridiculous. He is pandering to the Muslim vote of course, far more votes there than the Jewish community, not to mention he is the one doing the fear mongering.
  14. Well said !
  15. Neither PM Harper nor the Bill is looking to restrict any Muslim immigration, in fact it has increased. Justin Trudeau is the fear monger. 300,000 Muslims have immigrated to Canada since CPC won in '06. No Justin Trudeau illusion can make the facts disappear https://soundcloud.com/thecharlesadlershow/justin-trudeaus-fear-mongering
  16. Trudeau equates Muslims to Jews and the holocaust and the Media Party applauds - A Conservative MP puts out a terrorism mailout and they go ape sh.t.... go figure
  17. All I can say is you must be doing something right to get their knickers in such a knot
  18. No one on here knows the whole situation/story, all we know are bits that the media tells us and even that can be misinformation or they don't really know.
  19. I thought he had been released. I have read that this guy is one of those Canadians of convenience that he hadn't lived in Canada for 13 years and flew the Egyptian flag at his bail hearing. Canada has been talking to Egypt but what about his employer Al Jazeera, how much are they doing for him? We don't know exactly how much Canada is doing behind the scenes, this is just another attempt to smear PM Harper. The Toronto star of course is using as a means to slur the gov't and insinuate nefarious reasons. Having said that I do hope they can get him out.
  20. Katherine Wynne 's hole she's digging Ontario into - or her money pit.
  21. They were harpooned by the CRTC, no doubt had they received megabucks of Canadian $$ they would be doing okay. You might be interested in Liberal Kinsella's take on it (he worked for them too) http://warrenkinsella.com/2015/02/dear-sun-news-network-folks/#sthash.D87eJ0UV I was on Twitter, past midnight, reading some of the things people were saying about the network’s demise. There was a lot of gloating and awful stuff being said. I slept for four hours, then got up to watch the network disappear. They showed a promo for Pat Bolland’s show, and then that was it. The screen in my bedroom went black at exactly 5 a.m. I stared at it for a while, and tried to formulate what I wanted to say. It’s not you who I want to say it to, former Sun News Network folks. It’s to those people on Twitter, last night and this morning, the ones who were gleefully celebrating the end of Sun News. They’re celebrating, I guess, because they disagreed with the opinions that were found on Sun News. They didn’t like conservative opinions being broadcast, so they think it’s funny that 200 people have lost their jobs. I find that completely insane, for two reasons.
  22. In your dreams..
  23. There is no talk of dumping Harper, those rumblings where only wishful thinking from the left, don't believe every negative article you read. No doubt if Harper loses or only gets a minority he will step down. I wouldn't be surprised to see him step aside after finishing out another majority, but other than that, there never was talk from the Tories about dumping Harper.
  24. When the average everyday Joe is actually negatively affected by anti terrorism legislation. So far they are not, we haven't lost anything, we all go about our business and lives as we always have, so all the hyperbole about losing rights and democracy, is just that - hyperbole.
  25. He should do it for free or what !!
