  1. Wow, this reveals the true depths to which Iran will go to hate Jews. I'm sure all those on this forum who think Israel is to blame and Iran is just defending their rights will straightaway come to their senses. Hah! Expect more Israel bashing to ensue.
  2. Bush has been much more savvy than his left wing critics expected. He has managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat time and time again at the voting booth, one thing such people are judged on. He's been much better than Clinton at that, having the senate and House majorities for much of his two terms. It's hard to compare apples to apples with his presidency since the 9/11 attack put him in unchartered waters. But he acted, and did so with authority, something the likes of Gore or Kerry could not have done.
  3. Not so fast. In Canada Coulter can't get a word in edge wise when she's being interviewed, or more accurately, attacked. Conservative viewpoints are shouted down and treated with derision. This isn't on talk shows so much, but on TV news shows. I don't know of any right view talk shows on radio in Canada although there might be a few. Canada is too politically correct to have the freedom for giving just any perspective a platform.
  4. The Pentagon and the British Defence Department have said it has not made the world safer. The terrorists are in Pakistan and if word is correct, Somalia planning the next attack while the U.S. is bogged down in Iraq fighting a civil war. If you'll reread my quote I never said it would make the world safer. I said Americans are safer. It was in the first sentense.
  5. Riverwind, no real threat? How about the foiled attempt to blow up 10 planes headed to the U.S. They were going to use liquid in water and toiletry containers. Ring a bell? I know, I know, it doesn't ring anything for you. Whatever.
  6. It does speak for itself. There was a book on marketing released back in the mid 80s called, "The Want Makers". To me, this is one area where our system of capitalism is faulty. It's sort of like finding the weakness in the enemy and exploiting it. Exploiting the needs of women in this case to sell more product.
  7. So you're a 911 truther, eh? Sorry friend, but I think you 'truthers' are looking for something that isn't there. No disaster like this will ever have every piece of evidence and proof to explain every last detail simply because they weren't expecting the attack. Just because some things go unexplained doesn't automatically mean there is a government conspiracy behind it. Wait, I know I'm wrong, don't bother.
  8. It is an anti-Islam rant. Millions of pilgrims go to the Mecca every year. It is a logistical nightmare in an unforgiving climate and most years is carried out peacfully. It may look strange but then so is bobbing and bowing in front of a wall with a long beard and prayer book. Hah, this is rich. You protest some comments as an anti-Islam rant and then post some anti-Jewish ones. Hypocrite.
  9. Or is it because staying the course has paid off and Americans are safer? Giving the wacko terrorists an Arab place to fight the US (Iraq) is waaaay better than not and having them come here to blow up people. I know it's not the stated reason for going there, but it's a pretty good side effect.
  10. This just in. All the 9/11 conspiracy websites are run by the U.S. government. That's right, the 9/11 conspiracy is a GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACY! South Park says so.
  11. Actually Martin put us in Afghanistan. Not that I'm complaining.
  12. I knew we the CPC should have pulled the election trigger when that gentleman was the interim leader. (edited to reflect that I should not be saying "we" since I am not a CPC member, not being Canadian). Yeah, it would have been a walk in the park, but Harper's doing pretty good and I haven't seen that any of the Liberal contenders have anything to offer, other that the usual Israel put down stuff.
  13. This could get ugly. Just what they need in the Liberal camp. Obviously this has come about because Bob had become a front runner.
  14. Good to see a bank that is laundering and counterfitting money doesn't get away with it. Kim Jong has to learn that if you want to have commerce with the rest of the world, you have to play by the rules.
  15. And I'm pretty sure RC hospitals don't check the label to make sure it's not a 'Jewish' medicine before they administer it.
  16. Bubber, you don't visit church much, do you.
  17. Ah, the uninformed. Rush Limbaugh alone commands an audience approachiing 20 million. These are people tired of the bias on TV and would actually rather listen to the radio if it's not left wing regurgitation.
  18. Air America was the second coming. Air America was going to beat conservative talk radio at its own game. Air America couldn't win over listeners and is now twisting in the wind. In spite of everything Al Frankin could think of and some of the hissy fits he threw to draw attention to the network. It was dead on arrival, anyone who's a conservative could see this. To get neutral or conservative friendly coverage, all there is is Fox. That's it. That's why conservative talk radio has done so well. There's no other choice. Liberal coverage, however, is everywhere all the time. Air America had to compete with eleventy billion channels on TV, and couldn't do it. Like no duh. Yet another attempt to shut up the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Mike Reagan, Michael Savage... failed because liberals just don't get it. Maybe they'll go back to a previous strategy of legislation forcing 'equal' time on each and every radio station that has a conservative show. Keep trying fellas...
  19. You mean they're not the same person? Actually, there's a kimmi who frequents this forum and I didn't want to slight her. Kimmy? Kimmie? Can't remember her spelling, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind.
  20. I don't know if this is a good example of immorality of the business world. It was a construction accident. They are dangerous places at the best of times. It wasn't premeditated murder or man slaughter, but whoever was operating the machinery that ruptured the gas line was at fault. An awful accident to be sure, but under our laws, which seem to be pretty protective of citizens compared to the rest of the world, no criminal charges were laid. At the end of the article it states that one trial continues, and more blame (read cash) may be forthcoming for enbridge Gas. They are charged with failing to provide accurate info on the location of the gas lines.
  21. The conservative response of possibly closing down the wheat board is a change. It might actually help farmers, so they don't have to find another way to make a living.
  22. I mentioned in a related post the reaction of Bush critics to blame Bush for causing NK's thirst for nuclear weapons, by placing Kim Jong among the axis of evil, and here we have one such comment. Never mind that kimmie(with apologies to you know who, but he's so short and feminine!) has been thirsting for the Nuclear Whiskey since the early 90's, well before the axis of evil moniker. Using the 'name calling pushed him into it' logic, better get ready for WWIII. Recently Chavez gave a speech at the UN, where, no doubt to titters in the audience, he repeatedly called Bush THE DEVIL!! I'm sure Bush is readying his response, and all those who follow this logic will understand the tactical strikes that follow.
  23. Ah yes, our election funding laws are keeping the hoards at bay! Our system of government is much less of a democracy and now that Harper's the PM, the liberals who were so content to see Chretien's financial scandals are waking up to the fact that they can't do much else beside bitch. Welcome to Canada. At least in the American system you have more balance of power with Congress and the Senate to counteract a rogue president.(Rogue, you lefties ought to like that, eh?) Canada has no such component. Harper would like to change that with a makeover of the Senate, but that's another topic.
  24. Farmers. They get screwed by insects. Screwed by rain. Screwed by heat waves. And when harvest time comes, they work 18 - 20 hour days, fighting old machinery they are too poor to replace, to get the grain to market. Only what they get is so little they need a full time job to feed their kids and keep the banks at bay. This is the way it's been for a long time. The present system sucks. To make a decent income as it stands now you have to talk the bank into letting you own huge tracts of land with a million worth of new machinery and pray your first crop is a bumper. The banks look dimly on such loans, so the average grain farmer is stuck in the middle working extra jobs just for the priviledge working himself to death. I don't know why grains are so cheap. There are plenty of people starving aroung the world, but the prices seem to stay pretty low. I don't know if dismantling the wheat board is the answer, but it seems like they haven't helped that much.
  25. A drunken spider's thread? Dude, now I'm starting to wonder why you brought up heroin. You want to hear some leaps of logic? Critics of Bush are now saying he caused Jong's pushing for nuclear weapons by calling him part of the axis of evil. I am not making this up. What a hoot!
