Do tell. So if an Iman is filmed pulling out a sword and shouting about jewish heads rolling, it's propaganda, but if a Christian bible camper talks about joining the army of God, it's bigotry, hate speech and homophobic, eh? Like I said in my first post, lefties might want to step off before viewing the truth about Islamists.

Then again, just because the media is not as left wing as some are, it doesn't mean they are right of center. So, because newspapers are owned by corporations, they are right wing? Wake up. They employ poor SOBs who have had the bad luck to be educated in our system of higher learning. You know, where all the left fringe socialist communist bleeding heart environazi professors work. Before our misguided youth( the ones who know they hate the US but don't know why, as they dress and talk like American rappers and pop stars) get a clue on life they have left wing dogma shoved down their throats. Its these who work for the media organizations who hire mostly those who think like they do, and so the sorry cycle continues. Thats why they Main stream media has swung back to a pro-liberal(even pro Liberal) bias. I can't pity you for not figuring this out.

So what are you going to do about it? I thought that was obvious. I'm starting a thread on it. Showing people what goes on in the mosques. As the clip showed, when the Iman giving the sermon pulls out and brandishes a sword as he's talking about cutting off the heads of Jews, this kind of kaka needs to be exposed.

I'll believe it. I would say it's about time, except I strongly prefer the media not actively campaign for either side and let the people decide without all of the scaremongering and crap they usually throw at us. Martin was a lame duck and almost gave the media little choice. But now the media has swung from one extreme to the other. Just report the frickin' news and keep your damn opinions on the editorial page. It's not too much to ask.

Okay, I missed that second link. But as long as they're not being trained to blow stuff up, it's not even annoying when compared to JW's who keep knocking on my door.

Bob Rae out ahead in poll of Canadians
sharkman replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It remains to be seen what Rare will do but Harper already raised our taxes. On July 1st, 2006, the personal income tax rate on those who earned the least was raised from 15% to 15.5%. You conveniently forget they also reduced the GST and lowered certain other taxes. But go on, don't let the facts get in your way. Bob running will give the Tories soo much ammunition, and he would lose in Ontario. I can hardly wait. -
So Drea, I must assume you too found nothing scary about the Kimmy link with the girl and bowling ball. Your link is funny. When left fringers get their knickers in a bunch, they get so fanatical. And usually verbal diarrhea ensues. Talk about a long page.
-
Could you come up with a scenario that a little bit more realistic? Why worry about crossing that particular bridge when our own provides so many challenges? There is much more to selling our goods abroad than simply being a good salesperson. Argus you make good points. When China wants to trade fairly they can give us a call.
-
Huh, what's so provocative about the girl with the bowling ball? She feels like God tells her to say something to someone else. So she does. What's so scary about that? That WAS a bowling ball and not a bomb, wasn't it? So perhaps you could point out the fanaticism...

This is a link to a very disturbing video revealing that Islam is hiding hatred and bigotry far worse than previously imagined. Can you stand the truth? This show was produced by a conservative, you left fringers might want to step off now. Edit: The video link is below the Muslims diagram.

Are you kidding? Actual scientists? The most vocal opponent of Kyoto on the scientific front in Canada is Tim Ball. A guy who claims to be the "first Ph.D in climatology" in Canada, even though there have been many before him. A guy who claims to have been a professor of climatology at UofW for 32 years, which would make him a professor back when he was in high-school. According to UofW, he was a professor of geography there for 8 years. A guy who hasn't done any research in 15 years - he did almost no research before retiring anyway. A guy who takes oil money, channeled through third parties to fund his anti-Kyoto organizations and campaigns. A guy who is 67 and couldn't care less what happens a couple of decades down the road because he won't be around much longer. You call that an "actual scientist"? I call that a lunatic and a lier. Kindly direct your remarks to comments I said, not strawmen or red herrings.
-
Ah yes. Thousands of practising climatologists agree that Global Warming is happening and is being caused by humans. A handful of (mostly retired) scientists who act essentially as PR men are on the other side. LET'S GIVE THEM EQUAL RESPECT PEOPLE! Yeah, try proving that. Links please, otherwise you are just blowing more hot air.

Harper assuming presidential stance
sharkman replied to gerryhatrick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Gee, maybe it's because the leftwingers are claiming Harper's like Bush, DUH! Take this thread, for instance. Oh, look, yet another american reference. Could you come up with some new material? -
Harper Declare's Canada is Gutsier
sharkman replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
A different policy on Iraq did benefit Canadians though. Or are you saying we should be there? A lot of right wing conservatives did. Not so much anymore though. No, my remarks do not refer to Iraq. Chretien hated the U.S. and it showed. Letting his underlings mouth off about Americans, jerking Bush around with changing policies. It's no surprise that Chretien wasn't invited south much, if at all. What benefit did you personally receive by having our troops not go to Iraq? -
Harper Declare's Canada is Gutsier
sharkman replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Liberal Grand Strategy of sticking your finger in Uncle Sam's eye had no benefit to Canadians. Too soon to tell if Harper's efforts will have success. -
I don't know, do we really need to? We are only 30 million, a pretty small economy in the world. I think we could do just fine with trade to the Pacific Rim nations except those whose human rights violations we disagree with. And China is pretty much raping the environment to boot. They have been stealing military technology, bullying Taiwan and Tibet and pretty much pirating anything they please. Not a country that one would trust.

I've been ignoring this thread since I saw it, and just read it through. I couldn't help but respond, because the comments have been so typical. Personal attacks, accusations of hate speech and the like. Usually when someone is wrong the motive is to inform them with better information and links. Why do people resort with attacks when someone says something against gayness?
-
I'm getting tired of all the nonsense leveled at the Tories. They've been in power for several months and environmental activists think they are the great Satan. The Liberals, whom as I've pointed out before, ignored their responsibilities to the Kyoto agreement for over a decade, and it's the Tories who are hated. Whatever.

The ugly hate-filled Left
sharkman replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Uh, gerry, Monty's not here anymore. Been gone for a long time. -
Yeah, he has the stupidity to critique the Liberals leaders and our Main Stream Media lap it up like he's actually done something to earn the public's respect. Pathetic.

What is this shite? Another anti-american rant dressed up as commentary. Try again. -
Stephen Harper: A one mandate PM?
sharkman replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
August, I've been concerned about this very thing. Canadians are so blinded by our media they think the Tories have done a worse job on the environment after scant months than the Liberals, who signed Kyoto and then politely ignored it for a decade or more. This and Afghanistan have Canadians wishing to be robbed blind by the Liberals again. They don't even have a damn leader yet and they lead some polls. Harper should give them what they want in spades. Make all kinds of foolhardy pro-environment moves, hell, spend half the surplus on it. Get the troops the hell out of Afghanistan and into the blue helmet brigade and introduce a bill legalizing same sex abortions, adoptions, and mercy killing. But he wouldn't do that, he has principles he believes in. And someone who will do anything for power just may fool us bleeding heart Canadians.
