  1. Guyser(I don't understand your first sentence) , what about all of the Muslims who are not students, and want footbaths in airports, malls, and other public places. Again, it is the Left who is willing to accomodate one Religion only, and it is not the footbath issue, but making all kinds of concessions for the Muslim religion in general. But as for your liability issues with universities for not providing footbaths, consider common sense. If a student is miss-using a bathroom sink and hurts himself, that is not the school's fault, no matter what some leftwing judge may find.
  2. I notice they avoided using the phrase," beer and popcorn" The GST cut was nice, the income tax cut terrific, and only liberals could find reason to complain. You better hope enough Liberals vote in favour of these cuts an election would have an improved chance of a Tory majority.
  3. Yes, Dion is a whipped dog these days, I would almost feel sorry for him if he wasn't a Liberal. It's going to be a tough winter for the LPC, and it looks good on them.
  4. The picture is bigger than footbaths. It is about accomodating a religion in many different ways in government facilities, when they won't make certain accomodations for other religions. And this is done with good intentions, to not be racist towards a group of people whose kind committed mass murder on 9/11. But the left has bent so far over in response to this (not even flying the American Flag at some major universities to avoid offending foreign students!!) that no other interpretation is possible than calling it reverse racism. As for the footbath issue, surely their God understands that they live among infidels who do not believe in Him and therefore they can wash their feet at home, or in a gym facility at the schools in question.
  5. Very true, and this latest round of tax cuts will not sway those who would support the Liberals if Snoopy was running the LPC from his Sopwith Camel. But they will resonate with the average Canadian who has seen his after tax income shrink time and time again under the Liberal regime, and they are simply good for Canada.
  6. Well, for my part I do tend to support your theory. Israel will not sit by and watch those who have threatened her very existance develop the means to destroy her. No one in their right mind would do so.
  7. On the footbath in university issue, the Left's cry of separation of church and state is silent for some strange reason. Whenever Christian groups want a prayer room or some other thing the Left's rabid response is quite predictable, so their hypocritical pass on Muslim issues reveals an agenda. The right must not allow this agenda to hold sway.
  8. All in all though, Hillary looks like a world beater, at least as far as the Dem side is concerned. Whether Americans are ready to vote for a woman is another issue, especially since her very non-traditional marriage won't be an asset. Rudy is sufferring from similar reactions about his married life among the right. And the right will have much to say about who gets in the White House.
  9. This is a good point that can't just be tossed aside as another Islam rant. However, it seems to me that when considering these educated religious zealots who blow things up, we need to look at their education. The education by other means, not the one they received at university. As soon as they (or we) are born, their conditioning begins and throughout their childhood they are told how evil the West, Jews, infidels, and whatever else is. They grow up thinking it is normal for woman to be property that is covered up, for adultery and fornication to be right up their with murder, and for how evil it is to blaspheme against Allah. They learn how Jews and the West have ruined their once great countries and Allah wants to punish them blah blah blah. By the time they hit university, their is little good an education can do. Under these conditions, it is difficult to discover what unique traits a race might have.
  10. So anyway, hopefully the author will also clear up the issue of whether Dumbledore has a wide stance in bathroom stalls and if he's a toe tapper. Just as silly and patronizing as outing a fictional character in a children's book years after the fact.
  11. You're not suggesting China will use this tactic are you? No, of course not. So how can China project its power or move large portions of its military around the globe? Answer: it can't. Barbarians may try to knock down more buildings (although they've been unable to equal that feat, or any feat in the U.S. since), but they can't invade countries, although with the hooligan dance they do after bombs go off, you'd think France just fell.
  12. Good zinger!
  13. You weren't typing the first line with a straight face, were you? Because you seem to have no issue when someone cheers your post(Rue), but the one post I made regarding jbg becomes a 'crew of cronies'. I have been reading jbg's comments for much longer than you, and he is no racist. You must understand that any leftwinger around here uses that charge whenever anyone dares criticize Muslims or Islam. But of course you do.
  14. I think this could be called a poison pill. As far as voting on it, your NDP and Liberal representatives won't let you down.... too hard.
  15. I believe honor is spelled this way in the U.S. We're not going to spell check each other now, are we?
  16. Yes, they hate him enough to attack his appearance/weight, but when it matters they have to face up to the reality that he has the support of most Canadians, so they can't vote him down. But Harper is patient and sooner or later the Liberals will do something they'll regret in the morning.
  17. Hmm, anger anger everywhere yet the Tories are flirting with a majority, eh? I'll take that kind of anger any day.
  18. I don't know if abolishing it would be the answer or not. I would want to study early Canadian history to see if perform as it was supposed to first. What we have today is indeed a sham, but it might be fixable. And how many threads on the Senate do we need?
  19. Uh, your 'logic' and reasoning are indeed hard to follow, the above is the first statement on the page that tells what you were tallking about, and you're off. Try playing something other than the tired old race card, eh?
  20. I don't know if it's an issue yet, but it is unusual that people making $12,000 a year are donating more than 1 month's salary to anything, let alone a politician who's raking in the money already. Nobody I know could afford to give $1200 to a campaign, and most of my friends are in the 30 to 60k range. That people below the poverty line are giving this much looks highly suspicious. Let's face it, with all the loop holes in American political contribution laws, this is money being funnelled plain and simple. The why is also easy, her handlers want her to appear to be a woman of the people, someone blue collar workers admire. And she wants to appear to be the opposite of what she really is, backed by big money.
  21. Okay, I understand the wap hallelujah, but surely you can come up with something for the chicken! As one of the faithful who regularly sacrifices chicken (for my stomach), I demand equal time, can I get a witness?
  22. I note with interest you didn't provide any kind of link on this 'army guy'. I hope you didn't hear this from a left wing kook conspiracy site, because that is what it smells like.
  23. Did Harper alienate them or did Danny boy whip up outrage? And Newfoundland is only one province in the Maritimes, didn't Harper hand out a pretty good deal to another Maritime province recently?
  24. This supposes he will be given the opportunity to make mistakes within a majority. I tend to agree. I also agree with August's thoughts about Harper being bold at times and moving the goalposts to the right. Canada has woken up to the fact that the sky hasn't fallen since the Tories came to power, and Harper is a shrewd operator.
  25. No, it's not possible that Iran just wants nuclear power. They will indeed continue their own Nuke program until Israel precision bombs it into the stone age. George won't have a say on that, rest assured.
