English Federal Debate: 17 April 2025, HDTV
Barquentine replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And yet PP is still way behind in the polls. Think about it: from 20 points up to 6 points behind in just a few weeks? Oh wait - you're going to blame that on the CBC, aren't you? -

You've said this a couple of times now. What it means is Poilevre can't be himself because if he is people won't like or trust him. (Glad you finally agree with what I've been saying for weeks.) He's already changed his appearance - contacts, new haircut, shirt open to look like a 'regular guy". The problem is it doesn't work. people will not be conned that easily. He's not authentic. -

I thought Carney was wondering if he'd made a mistake by asking Poilevre a question at that point, giving PeePee more talk time. That's what I thought but then I realized if he had asked a question of another debater, people would be jumping on him today, calling him a coward.. On another point, PeePee keeps being Trumpy. His latest tv ad, 2 old guys on a golf course looks and sounds just like Trump's ad of the 3 old women in a restaurant. And the single use plastic ban reversal is deja vu of Trump. People notice these things. Not likely. -
Piece of pie, mor*on. How can you not understand the simplest of concepts. Oh wait, you're a PeePee lover. I was expecting too much. The fewer participants, the more time each has. I wish I could make it simpler for you, but you actually have to think once in a while. Remember, every on else can read these posts - you're really looking bad here.

Canada's health care system gets a dismal rating...
Barquentine replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It looks like that study is only about wait-times, not outcomes or quality of care. While it sucks to have to wait too long (I know from personal experience), and that definitely needs improvement, I've always found that the quality of health care is excellent here. -
You really want to embarrass yourself again? According to you, having fewer debaters doesn't give each one more time. So if there were only 2 parties debating, they wouldn't each have more time to attack each other? 60 minutes each compared to 24! Even you can't be that stupid. You lie to us all the time - at least stop lying to yourself. Dumbass! It's very easy thanks to id*ots like you on the right

Carney/Boomers vs Kids/Rest of you
Barquentine replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
My dad always had the car radio on the 'oldies' station - big bands, Frank, Dean.... I'm so grateful that he did 'cause I now equally appreciate Zappa and The Mills Brothers. -

My son plays in a Metal band. Can't say he's made me a fan of the genre, but I have a great admiration for their passion and commitment to the moment, and how that moves a club full of young people. -
Ok kids settle down, we're doing simple division today. Now if we have 120 apples and 5 kids, how many apples does each child get? Ok, now if there are 4 children how many apples does each child get? Which number is bigger? Now Dumbass, change apples to minutes and maybe, just maybe you'll see why you're wrong.

Conservatives Have Taken the Lead in Federal Polls
Barquentine replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Desperate nit-picking by you. So much of what they say is so similar that it will hurt the cons in this election. I know this is hard for you to accept. You should just hope that next time the cons pick a good candidate. -

My kids will be voting liberal. Many of their friends too. What's you point? -
Conservatives Have Taken the Lead in Federal Polls
Barquentine replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Maybe they both do to some extent. But my point was, when Trump says or does something and Poilevre does the exact same thing, voters notice. Poilievre's in a trap of his own making. -
Just because companies are promising to invest huge amounts in the US doesn't mean they will. And some of this goes on all the time anyway. But building factories , moving production - these things take years. Trump's only got 3 1/2 (we hope). So the can placate him now, let him brag about it, then do what's in their best interest later. Taiwan in particular was smart to do this - they might need US protection soon.

You are retarded or just pretending. Reread my post. Take your time. Use your finger to help understand the big words. On second thought don't use your finger - we don't know where that's been. I didn't say those things are new ( I mean, it's PeePee we're talking about. Nothing new to see here.) I said those are the things they're both saying and doing now. They remind me of this pair from Looney Tunes : -

In the last couple of days, Poilevre has been sounding more like Trump than ever: "Defund the CBC" = "Defund PBS", "three strikes you're out = "send American criminals to other countries". Keep journalists off the plane = Kick journalists out of the pool. It's like they've got the same playbook.
