For what will Joe Biden be best known?
CouchPotato replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Where do you start? He has certainly had an eventful life. As a child he experienced tragic loss when his uncle was eaten by cannibals. He stood up to Corn Pop, the bad bad Leroy Brown of Delaware. Taught him a lesson about swimming without a bathing cap. He was a civil rights activist in the 60s. He drove an 18-wheeler. I'm pretty sure Kris Kristofferson's character in Convoy was based on Joe. On and on it goes. I think most of all though he will be remembered for his honesty. -

Well, I don't think anyone is saying there is a law against it, but if all his ideas were wrong and he has to plagiarize at the last minute, it speaks to his capability to form any good ideas of his own. What would he do when other issues arise, and he doesn't have Pierre to help him? Who will explain to him important things like the fact that even though most people don't buy bulk quantities of steel they actually do buy things made of steel? Or does he know that, and is he just trying to pull a fast one on the sheeple? The liberals are turning on a dime. If these are not their ideas why would you ever expect them to be serious about implementing them? Carney is weak. He backed out of the TVA debate. He looks like he's been shot everytime he gets a question from the media that isn't a total softball. You can tell just by watching him that he isn't a straight shooter. Pierre always speaks with the confidence of someone who believes in what he is saying. -

But they were all in favor of the carbon tax until the last minute. So it calls into question how committed they are to actually getting rid of the tax. You know it's like that deadbeat boyfriend/girlfriend who promises to change right when you are going to break up with them. They never do. And essentially all he is going to do is hide the carbon tax. It makes far more sense to vote for the guy who was pitching the great ideas in the first place. What will Carney do when he has no one to plagiarize? -
It's weakness is what it is. He backed out of the TVA debate, and he failed to be decisive over this. The man is in above his head.

What does it matter that Pierre is four-eyed? It's not like the Prime Minister is going to have a cage match with Trump. I mean when people refer to Trump as being tough it's not because of his physical prowess. Pierre has been a bulldog for years now. That's why he won leadership of the party. People loved him because he was an attack dog. He is not a political weakling. Carney is a political weakling. The guy looks like a deer in the headlights everytime he faces the media. You can tell the man has very little backbone, and even less personality.

Because the Liberals didn't can Chiang. They defended him. He called for his opponent to turned over to what would likely mean his death.

Yes. The one who called for the execution of Trudeau, you mean? Absolutely. And the media didn't have to tell him to do it. Leadership. Carney defended it. And then called it a teachable moment. Very Trudeau-like. I seem to remember Trudeau using similar language whenever something bad came out about him. The important thing is we all learn something whenever the Liberals do something wrong.

No one has ever denied that speech has consequences. But you still have a right to free speech. They just got kicked from the party. They aren't facing legal consequences. The difference is 'wokies' would have people face charges for perceived 'microagressions'. You could always be fired for essentially calling for someone's death. I don't think that is anything new. Once again, give your head a shake.
