  1. Trump's response to the Charlottesville rally was a big misstep. However, it is the past. As for him losing this civil case.. not sure if I can draw a conclusion from it. Civil and criminal law are not the same. Losing a civil case does not mean that you committed a crime.
  2. This thread shows how folks cherry pick the internet and have little if no knowledge of how the data is formulated. When people talk about the "real unemployment rate"... I laugh so hard it hurts. They have no idea how any of the unemployment rates are formulated but yet they have such strong opinions.
  3. Yet.. can you explain how my kids school does not do this.. not even a little bit? There is zero mention of drag queens or trans people. I think that your bias is simply too much for you to produce any valid analysis or commentary.
  4. Been reading stuff from political know-it-alls like you for 15+ years and every time there is a social ill to discuss.. the first ones they blame is teachers. Oh.. you are having kidney stones.. it must be them damn liberal teachers screwing you. A teacher can only do so much. The people who impact the life of a given student the most are the parents.. both negative and positive. However, putting that blame on the parents and not the teachers is simply too hard for most. That means that they have to point the finger at themselves and not some easy target.
  5. Piece of advice.... this is one clue that you give out to show that show want affirmation. "Just understand this"... is you begging for me to tell you what you want to hear. If you want to not convey this.. try something like, "It is my belief that". Yes, you are correct that most things in the news are purely subjective and full of bias. Here is where we differ. I know this and immediately classify it as opinion and therefore not untouchable gospel or fact. The "opinion " of someone on TV is not something that I would put a lot of stock in. You, on the other hand, view the subjective opinions of these folks as statements of fact.. Sad but true.
  6. Covid is not the topic.... nice try. Actually this demonstrates yet again that your bias gets in the way of you doing any actual objective analysis. Again, covid is not the topic. You are so desperate for me to wade into these waters. Why? If you have it all figured out already.. why do you need my input or affirmation?
  7. Sure.. and I can ignore you and move on
  8. this is true in most developed nations. Declining birth rates, increase in cost of housing, day care getting increasingly pricey due to lack of staff, etc.
  9. As a nearly lifelong atheist.. I make it very simple. You leave me alone and I will leave you alone. I will be respectful to you as long as you are respectful to me and therefore keep your religion to yourself.
  10. More covid rambling.. just can't resist.. quite pathetic. You know that I do not care and yet you have to bring it up. So I know how it would go with you if you were in my position. Someone would ask you how many jobs were gained year over year in Elko County? A rational person would find the number for August 2023 (being that september is not out yet) and then the number for August 2022 and then do a percentage change. You on the other hand would digress into a bunch of drivel about covid and liberalism. My job is quantifying data and then doing analysis on it. Gullibility can not quantified or measured so therefore is no absolute way to prove person x is more gullible than person y. Besides, as always you leave out a ton of context needed to ever measure such a thing. If you must know.. how strong something smells can be measured. Just because someone does not carry the equipment on hand means nothing. Gullibility can not be measured no matter what someone does or says.
  11. Simple direct questions are always too much for internet forum posters.
  12. Am I correct in saying that you created the thread and therefore the title?
  13. Not everything is subjective.. but this is. How gullible or not someone is.. is purely subjective. What is not subjective? Number of jobs in a county, number of wins in a season by a team in the NBA, batting average of a given player in MLB. Everyone on this forum except knows the difference.. makes you feel pretty stupid. On a closing note.. thank you for never being an analyst or lawyer. What a shit show that would be. Presently, I am constructing a licensing database. No subjectivity here. the license to do xyz exists or not and it does not matter who is reading the text.. A license to do cosmetology in Nevada means the same thing to everyone because it is clearly defined. If we had you on this project.. you would not be able to even get started.
  14. ^^^^ Self righteous, 20 pt IQ type that can't fathom that his subjective opinions are not gospel. LIttle wonder that you come to a forum and remain anonymous.
  15. The OP is quite masochistic. As long as one gets on the internet and stays abreast of modern events.. one is going to see woke-ism for quite some time. If it is so abhorrent.. the solution is simple.
  16. Long story made short.. you offered nothing of any quantitative value.. just more subjective opinions. Your subjective opinion is correct because you say it is and I am supposed to fall in line because you say so.. Wow, what a clown. When you compare subjective items.. you have no absolute, agreed can upon metric and rational, reasonable folks know this and therefore know that one subjective opinion is no better than the other. Now.. if the question was who has won more games in an NBA season.. there is a correct answer. I know that you have not the intellect to see the difference. We have went over how I do not care in the least about COVID but your irrational obsession does not allow you to put it aside... I know why.
  17. It is too bad that more Canadian micro brews do not find their way into the US. Had one from Torque Brewing in Manitoba once and it was fabulous. Had it when I was in Minneapolis and apparently it was illegal to sell it so the guy gave it to me for free
  18. A bit early for primaries.. I would think. Our Democratic and Republican primaries in Nevada are scheduled for May 2024. One of the more beautiful things about Nevada is the lack of contentious politics.
  19. Compare.. yes. However, that is not your message. Your message is that if someone does not agree with your subjective opinion.. they are wrong. Then show me in a quantifiable fashion how you can prove that x person is more gullible than person y. Now.. no subjective opinions or assumptions. Lets see if you can do this.. put up or shut up.
  20. The core of our "debate" or pointless conversation is whether gullibility is subjective or objective. A person with even adequate intelligence( which from what you post.. you are fall way short of that) could acknowledge that gullible is an adjective and 100% subjective. Therefore there is no ironclad way to show that person X is more gullible than person Y. Your contention that even without objective measurement.. it is obvious is garbage. Here is a better example of your nonsense. You like Rock Band X and lets say I do not. A reasonable, rational person would know that music is subjective and leave it be. You can't.. you would insist that it is obvious Band X is the best and therefore my not liking them means I am stupid. When asked why Band X is the best.. you would say, "it is obvious.. is it not?" I would disagree and like a reasonable, rational person.. would move on.
  21. however, you are mistaken... a pride flag says by default that you hate whites, heterosexuals, or anybody religious.
  22. Subjective vs. Objective... and yet you go out into left field with this ^^^^. Again, you are craving affirmation. Must be a lonely existence to crave the affirmation of a stranger. A more self-assured, rational person would think, "This person does not agree with me.. moving along" and forget about them but you can't..
  23. And everybody else (except you) knows that judging is subjective. X person can think that xyz food is good and Y person does not. Is Y person wrong? No... But I know that you can't fathom this. Crappensburg State strikes again. If you were not craving affirmation.. you would not be so insistent on my buying into your subjective opinion. The fact that you keep responding and getting increasingly adamant/long winded shows that.
  24. The current geography that we now call Germany has only existed since 1866.. Before that it was a loose confederation of 39 smaller duchies/kingdoms.
