As a direct result, more violent people have been released on bail. And predictably they are committing more violent crimes once they are released. DeSantis's demonization is a direct result and response to the left's demonization of people in the first place. When you start a culture war, shots get fired from both sides. Well the main problem with being an illiterate barbarian horde is the record keeping is frankly atrocious But as a percentage of the population of the world i think they did more damage. The population was something like 1.7 billion people around world war 2 - the population during the mongols was more like 250 million world wide. And there's little doubt they killed millions. And that's really not happening anywhere. Below replacement birth rates are pretty much universal in every "white" country, and many countries are struggling to get their native populations to have more children. I doubt it'll happen - the way things have played out you now need to have two incomes to get ahead in life. You can't afford to be taking one of the earners off the line for a few years at a time very often.
