  1. And the final wrap up - The post election poll: https://leger360.com/surveys/the-2023-alberta-election-albertans-views-on-the-results/ SOME OF THE KEY FINDINGS OF OUR SURVEY ON ALBERTANS VIEWS ON THE THE 2023 ALBERTA ELECTION RESULTS INCLUDE… Albertans who voted UCP in the most recent Alberta election were more likely than those who voted NDP to have been undecided at the start of the election, making up their minds on or just before election day. 51% of Albertans are satisfied with the outcome of the recent Alberta election, while 40% are dissatisfied. 65% of Albertans who voted in the election were motivated to make their choice as a vote in support of the party they chose, rather than a vote against the other party they didn’t choose. The top two issues Albertans feel the new government should focus on are improving the delivery of health care and helping with the cost of living Following the Alberta election, 47% of Albertans think Premier Smith should continue to push back strongly against the federal government and advocate for Albertans, while 40% feel she should be less combative and more collaborative. Perhaps not surprising but it does show there's a pretty sharp divide in alberta right now
  2. Thirty eight charges - that's not quite the same thing. There's about 3 or 4 which are serious. Basically around the fact that he refused to turn the documents over and willfully hung on to them. Having them itseilf isn't really a huge deal - biden had classified documents, You can just claim you forgot. BUT - the problem for trump is the tapes where he's talking about them and he knows he's got them. And that's really the main issue here. So really one 'crime', a few charges around that crime. The rest are kind of fluff. So - what's his defense. Well- most of his defenses are going to be technical. he's going to argue that the discussion with his lawyer should be covered under confidentiality and that's a pretty strong case, he might very well win that. Then the prosecution's job of proving he knew he had the docs and it wasn't a mistake gets much much harder. He will also look at the warrant - several times now the FBI has screwed up warrants and they get thrown out and all the evidence found gets tossed with it - and that would be the end of the case. There's a few other technical angles he can come at it with. I mean -it's pretty clear he's guilty but it's also very clear hillary clinton was guilty and she's not in jail either. The thing is - this will open a new chapter in American Political life. It has always been the case that ex pres' or even high ranking politicians didn't face charges for their time in office. Now - the dems want that rule to apply to them but not to republicans. So guess what will happen when republicans get in. We're going to see a new era of anyone who is president will be investigated within an inch of their lives when the other party gets back into power,
  3. That's actually pretty easy. Turns out there's a big difference between bouncing around in shorts with padded tennis shoes on a flat surface for half an hour and hauling 60 lbs of gear 20 miles over uneven terrain in boots Of course as a democrat you wouldn't know this - but the army is a pretty darn physically demanding thing. And someone who's slow or can't make it puts everyone in danger So if you're slow on the tennis court it's no big deal - if you're slow in combat your friends and you could die. That wasn't so hard to answer was it
  4. The very fact you have to lie and call it 'theatre' says that you know it's wrong. If you believed that it was ok, you'd call it what they call it - you'd say it was drag thing training. But you're afraid to call it that because you know that's NOT really ok - so you say 'theatre' because that's kind of an accepted thing. Your own language betrays you. If you have to lie to make your point... it's probably not a very good point.
  5. I wouldn't call tory right wing. And that doesnt' change the fact a MORE left wing mayor can't solve them.
  6. More like another leftie Fake noodle You make up a fake report that he's trying to encourage a YUUUGE number of people to show up - NOBODY else can find this elusive information, you can't point to it and lo and behold it doesn't happen LOLOLOL - sure kiddo Turns out that in fact they'd organized an event at a restaurant - not a demonstration at the court. And it was a large event: https://www.nbcnews.com/video/supporters-sing-happy-birthday-to-trump-at-cuban-restaurant-after-arraignment-182003269981 Soooo. Yeah. You invented a fake demonstration that was never planned - then declare victory when it doesn't happen. That says a lot more about you than it does about trump: lefties are liars.
  7. ^^^^^^^^^ THIS oPiNiOn IS USELESS without PRRROOOOOOOOOOFFFF! And i guarantee that people care more about his opinion than yours Let THAT sink in
  8. The dems lost seats in the house and lost the control they had. And the republicans and dems go back and forth losing and have for a few hundred years now. biden one 1 election - if he wins another then he'll basically be the same as almost all the other dem presidents, and almost all the republican presidents. IF a dem wins after THAT it would be unusual and you could say the republicans are on a losing streak, but that's 2 elections from now. You don't really understand how the US gov't works or know much about history do you. Biden He's said he's going to run in the next election. Don't you know ANYTHING about this stuff? You don't seem to know much of anything. This is why they call you robodolt.
  9. In what way? or is that kind of just wishful thinking on your part? Sure, and now biden is going to run again which is precisely what the republicans wanted. They didn't care about the midterms. Biden's approval is falling again and now the economy is slowing. I'm not sure any of that is something for the dems to be happy about. it was no secret that many dems wanted to see more of a blood bath during the midterms and have an excuse to get rid of biden for the main event - this has been the worst of both worlds for them, they lost the house and kept biden.
  10. And ziet got you too Holy shit - trump got arrested today i thought it would be a good day for you but you're totally emotionally melting down. Yeash - pull it together girl. You're one of the funniest things here if you completely fail mentally it's going to be boring around here.
  11. You HAD read the code - i spelled it out for you - and you still screwed it up multiple times. What was your excuse?
  12. Every great nation who achieves success screws it up. It's just america's turn.
  13. Didn't think it was sane when the repulicans did it - doesn't sound any more sane now I can see why you'd say that tho - i mean, otherwise you'd have to admit that your own side is barbaric hypocritical losers who have no consistent morals and are basically slightly lower than the trump supporters they used to mock. And while that's absolutely true its gotta hurt to have to admit it i'd think.
  14. HE GOT YOU AGAIN?!!? A SECOND time in one day?!!? - holy crap, reason10 is totally owning you tonite
  15. So what happened that you suddenly lost the ability to speak english? THis and the other thread where you think your 'sentence works fine' when it's utter gibberish? Did they have a sale on cough cyrup again? the cherry stuff you like?
  16. So he's a professor with a field of study in human behavior who's studied this for over 15 years and has numerous peer reviewed papers and is highly respected. But he's no expert. And you immediately dismiss the work on that without being able to refute a single point. Yeah - i give up. You're a lying sack of shit. "oh as long as it's not a right wing media source i'll take it seriously'. And you can't even refute the findings. Why i ever thought a left wing loser would actually be able to be honest or have an adult conversation is beyond me. After you post a highly partisan source who's quoting a highly partisan source. Then you can't even refute it so you quote a study i made no mention of. Nor do you address the 152 studies cited in the second source , Meh - that's what i get for taking the word of a lying leftie. You people really are the worst. Anyway - always remember i gave you a chance to be a decent and honest person and have a decent discussion. I won't be making that mistake again.
  17. Not only is the statement a lie, the idea that it's my only point is a lie. So your lie about it being no lie is also a lie Are you SURE you don't work for the liberal party of Canada? You're just so qualified! People don't want their children exposed to sexual ideas and content till they're ready, people are concerned about the left's fevrent desire to groom children on the issue, and they don't like being called uncanadian or nazis if they dare to raise any question about it. But - not so much with the fear. or the loathing. Sorry.
  18. Well fair enough - i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. First is some works by Gary Mauser. You can find MUCH research from him spanning many years - berkley educated and wound up as a professor at SFU in british columbia, taught in other countries as well. Won Queen lizzie's diamond Jubilee medal. Here's his cv just so you know he's not some texan gun nut. https://garymauser.net/about/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Mauser So - as i said he did many research papers which you can find on line on the subject but here's one to start you off: https://search.issuelab.org/resource/would-banning-firearms-reduce-murder-and-suicide-a-review-of-international-evidence.html Next i noted that gun laws don't do much to reduce crime. So - here's a paper that references 154 actual studies (listed so you can verify) that looks at whether or not there's an effect. It's from RAND - which is certainly not a right wing group. They evaluated the effect these papers discovered various laws have. As you can see- not many make much of a difference. There's a small amount of evidence that background checks and seizing guns from violent people or spousal abusers has a limited effect but most laws dont. And as you can see many of those research papers are from left wing or non-gun-friendly groups. https://www.rand.org/research/gun-policy/key-findings/what-science-tells-us-about-the-effects-of-gun-policies.html The only thing i will say is 'accidents wasn't a catagory and some laws CAN actually help with that. So - enough to prove the point i think. You can read the 152 reports if you wish as well of course. LOL - no they're not! You don't 'source' a conclusion. Some of the facts that are in the report that the article references are sourced elsewhere but that's not at all the same as referencing a conclusion. So you've got a set of facts -then an interpretation of those facts which tries to draw a conclusion, then an interpretation of those conclusions which tries to draw it's own conclusions. And none of it peer reviewed. There's a LOT of room for error in there.
  19. Calm down! yeash - it's just the internet. I'm not trying to wind you up, just take it easy. So no you didn't have a point. other than the one on the top of your head.
  20. Well this isn't theatre and the requirement to provide a military is part of the constitution. If PP gets in and says they're cancelling all theatre funding and putting the money into gun clubs and firearms training camps i wonder if you'll be quite this accepting of it
  21. Now now - i've told you many times, if you have to lie to make a point it's probably not a very good point
  22. here's the thing - 'transgenderism' in children is skyrocketing. Like - really skyrocketing. That doesn't' just happen. There's no sudden gennetic change in humans that's resulting in that. Something is 'confusing' them. And more doctors are warning that we may be causing more problems rushing to support this kind of thing. It's not just coming from nowhere and real and permanent harm could be done here.
  23. so what you're saying is the gov't doesnt' object to using tax dollars for drag thing training. That was kind of my point but sure. Lets not pretend money isn't fungible. No matter how you slice it, lthe taxpayer is funding this as well. The groups acknowledge that gov't funding is a large part of their funding. And that creates a problem. If it were a genuinely independent group then people might not like the camp but hey - none of your business. But asking people to pay for things they don't approve of is an issue - and it's currently a growing issue that's dividing more and more people. As i noted we've now got parents keeping kids home or worse - dancing on pride flags over this. So is it a wise choice to be allowing public money to go towards this kind of thing? Or will that just make the divisions worse right now
