DUI_Offender is just a troll, he never contributes anything of value to the forum.

Yeah. Only florida did something Flood Control - Plant Management in Florida Waters - An Integrated Approach - University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences - UF/IFAS At the end of the day it's fine now to argue what the best solution would be, having fleets of firebombers or doing more ground clean up maintenance regularly or requiring fire breaks or whatever but they knew there was an issue and did not address it. While that doesn't really make me feel any less bad for the people affected, it's borderline criminal for the gov't and the people DO bear some responsibility for not pushing the gov't on it more in the past.

Have you MET trudeau's libearls?
-
You're not wrong for the most part but she's not even remotely interested. She was never really a politician to begin with. Which is about the nicest thing you can say about someone
-
LOL calm down kiddo, you'll pull a muscle again I get her point, alberta will be hurt badly if they're not allowed to sell oil to the states. THat's a huge job and revenue killer if that gets blocked. The damage to alberta from an energy embargo to the states would be absolutely massive. The problem is it's not like Trudeau is presenting a plan or saying what that would look like or what other options they might exhaust before that or anything. So in the absence of that she's looking out for her people. What needs to happen is leadership on the fed level but that's not going to happen till we have an election, which means sometime in may.

I'm getting it just fine. You're refusing to answer a question you demand that the conservatives do. Are you saying you don't consider action on climate change necessary? Why not? -
No, that's perfectly normal thing to think. It's perfectly obvious you avoid people who actually take the time to challenge you and provide details and facts. You're very clearly afraid of anyone who makes you look bad. Some of the others point out you're wrong but don't go into so much detail so you occasionally feel like you don't look stupid with them ( you do btw) but anyone who actually beats you up when you say dumb things instead of just pointing out you say dumb things you put on ignore.

He's literally the leader of the opposition. You just described his job. The opposition puts the gov't under pressure and challenges everything they do, which forces the gov't to be sure to do the right things most of the time (in theory). You've literally just said he's doing his job well. Oh my god, NO. No it would NOT. The role of the opposition is not to tell the gov't how to FIX what they're doing wrong. Running a gov't isn't a 'decision by decision' kind of thing, everything connects. And only the gov't has access to all the information, there's things the other parties just don't see. So only the gov't can run the gov't, this is NOT some sort of 'rule by group' situation. As it is the opposition parties (all of them) do provide feed back at the various committees and such and do offer priority suggestions. Polievre told Justin to scrap the tax ages ago for example. A simple and easy to follow suggestion. I find it absolutely hilarious that you're mad at Polievre for not doing JUSTIN'S job LOLOL Well sit back little guy, he'll be doing justin's job soon enough.

The polling suggests otherwise, but that is obviously what the libs are hoping. There's no chance of a win but they're trying to save the furniture. It's hard to win back a seat, it can be hard to even get someone to run for a seat if it's held by the other party. It's even worse if you're not opposition because you get a lot less screen time. so if they drop to third or forth place instead of opposition, it could be a very very long road to build back. The fact is MOST of the time when there's a new leader in the last moments it goes badly. The PC party tried that by putting in Kim Campbell at the last minute and the PC were reduced to 2 seats. The dems in the states put Kammy in last minute and she got clobbered. There are other examples but that's how it usually goes. IT's not like they had a choice but the polling suggests that people hate the libs right now in general and not just Justin, and now they're going to have a no name guy running the show that nobody's heard of who isn't a political junkie and who has some baggage as well and just isn't charismatic. It might not go the way they hope.

Good question. Did you feel we need to? If so why? -

Here's what we've got left: The complete loser who thinks you don't have to speak french is out So it looks like it's going to be between Clark, Carney and freeland. Clark shot herself badly in the foot friday. She would have been a great dark horse candidate for them and someone who could have helped them rebuild a little after the loss but i think shes' going to be out of the running pretty quick. Freeland might as well BE justin trudau. He torpedoed her again by saying she was part of every decision and always by his side and always in the room. If this election is about change and dislike of trudeau, she's going to fail hard. So Carney may not be the best choice in the minds of many inside the party, but i think he's going to win. The entire Trudeau team is putting a lot of pressure in behind the scenes for him. He'll win, then get gutted like a pig and roasted for their next banquet. -

Well we'll see won't we. Next election is a 'carbon tax' election and we'll see if people still want it. I like PP's chances And which actions on climate change specifically did you want me to comment on? -
The word is Justin Trudeau's personally pushing him hard and his entire team is behind him. That right there should tell you all you need to know Does Hallmark sell any cards that have congratulations on the front and my condolences on the back? I feel like if they did this is where you would use it

I didn't say he was. I said his rhetoric is. He 'runs' on the far right. He runs on kicking out all the mexicans and cleansing the woke and picking fights with his allies and so on and so on. That's all pretty far right stuff. As i also noted, how he actually runs his gov'ts are another matter. His actual deeds aren't that far right at all. They're just mostly moderate right. His deficit spending definitely was bad but in fairness his premise was 'slash taxes, we'll run a deficit but business activity will improve and we'll fill that gap pretty quick". And that started to happen, but then covid. Obviously we'll never know for sure if it would ahve worked but it was definitely moving in the right direction. That will probably be his playbook this time too. Massive cuts hoping to spur economic activity. Basically more people and business paying less taxes individually but more revenues over all given time. We'll see.

It's not 90 percent neutral and it does nothing. You had 10 years to prove it works. It doesn't. And it never will It's expensive and about to get more expensive, it hurts the economy more than you pretend, it's utter crap. It's so ineffective and horrible that the libs didnt' even bother to set goals for what it would achieve or track it. This is 100 percent your fault and the fault of people like you. For a decade you've called anyone who even DARED to ask for stats on how its' doing "climate deniers" and you had free reign to make it work. Now it's utterly failed and Canadians know it. And they're sick of 'climate change' as a result. Well done. Well doing absolutely nothing would be less costly and more effective, so ...... -
They will resolve it easily. This is hardly the first trade Tiff we've had with the Americans. The problem is that Justin is ignoring it right now. He's going into complete hiding and just to make things even more exciting decided that of all of the times this was the one he wanted to step aside and leave the country leaderless . That's why the libs are about to be reduced to about 35 seats, which is 35 more than they deserve.
