  1. Paul Manafort was 'a grave counterintelligence threat,' Republican-led Senate panel finds. “"The Committee found that Manafort's presence on the Campaign and proximity to Trump created opportunities for Russian intelligence services to exert influence over, and acquire confidential information on, the Trump campaign," according to the nearly 1,000-page report released Tuesday.” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/08/18/senate-details-paul-manafort-ties-russian-intel-officer-kilimnik/3390437001/ Because Manafort repeatedly lied to investigators, his plea deal was revoked and he was sentenced to 90 months in Federal prison.
  2. I see. You can’t answer any of the questions. It is well-known here that I strongly support Israel. But I do not support Israel so strongly as to believe that America would be better if university students and professors were unable to profess divergent opinions, and replaced with a federal government run system which bans a long list of ideas from being presented. These days, liberal and conservative extremists are trying to ban ideas on campus. Promoting terrorism and violence should be banned. Threatening others with violence and doxxing people should be banned. But ideas? If someone wants to simply say that they think homosexuality is immoral, that is their right. If they want to discuss the merits of communism, that’s their right. I read Marx in college. It didn’t make me a Marxist. I read The Souls of Black Folk. It didn’t make me hate being white. This fascist notion of Trump’s Federal Government “University” telling you what you are and are not allowed to say is a hideous idea. How will you like this “University” when the Democrats are elected and making the “free speech” rules?
  3. I agree that It is cow farts like you who are responsible for this crisis. You said that the policies to protect our environment harm drivers of ICE vehicles, and I correctly pointed out they an increase of EV’s on the road, with a reduction of ICE vehicles, will lead to lower gasoline prices. You have not refuted this, bovine flatulence.
  4. If Alan Dershowitz is “no fan of Trump,” why did he serve as Trump’s defense council during Trump’s first impeachment?
  5. For starters, how is he going to tax an asset? Second, where’s the math? If he somehow manages to steal 50% of the assets of the Ivy Leagues and other private schools, how can that possibly be enough to provide free public university education to every adult in America? It’s a bunch of BS. There’s no way those endowments are big enough for that. The TOTAL of all university endowments in the nation is a staggering $890 Billion. Even if Trump did steal half of that money, it couldn’t build and fund colleges across the nation. Not even close. The U.S. DoE spends about $80 billion a year, so this money could fund the DoE for five years. Not enough for free college for everyone. Just more Trump BS.
  6. How is anyone “going after” people who drive gas powered cars? Look, we all know you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed, but surely even you can tell us how a quadrupling of EV sales would impact the price of gasoline? Or didn’t they teach you about supply and demand?
  7. WTF is he talking about? It makes no sense.
  8. Trump stated under oath under penalty of perjury, that he had $400 million “cash on hand.” So the guy who was just found guilty of illegally inflating his wealth… just proved that he’s been inflating his wealth. I hope Bragg tosses his butt in jail for perjury over that, just as he’s jailed Trump’s CFO for perjury in this case.
  9. Because with an EV, every morning you get into your car, it’s full. Every Single Morning You only need to charge publicly if driving hundreds of miles in a day.
  10. You don’t know what you don’t know. EV’s don’t work the way you think. On Tesla’s and many other models, when you use the nav to plot a route, the car calculates whether you’ll have enough electricity to get there. If you don’t, it gives you a list of chargers on the way. You select where you want to stop, and the car reserves the charging station for you and preconditions the battery when needed to ensure an optical charge. With fast charging, you’re don’t in 15-20 minutes, so you get out of your car, take a pee, and you’re ready to go. Not a big deal at all.
  11. Japan “practices” the death penalty… yeah, but their last execution was sixteen years ago, for a guy who massacred a bunch of people. My view of the death penalty is that it’s a huge waste of government money.
  12. Equal Protection is part of the Constitution: ”No State shall… deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. ” And your comment proves that the Right wishes to permit discrimination against homosexuals. If you believe laws are needed to ensure that homosexuals have equal employment rights as everyone else, then you should be an advocate for those laws. Obama permitted homosexuals to serve equally in the U.S. military over strong objections from the Right. The Right wants to discriminate against people. The Left does not.
  13. Can you name a POLICY which the Republican Party has supported which affirms equal treatment of homosexuals, such as passing laws to guarantee equal employment rights, or the right to marry or adopt children? You say you’re pro-equality in the same sentence that you call atheists “mongrels”. Pretty much proves my point.
  14. None of those things are policies of the left. They are things that some individuals did. The right is anti-abortion. The right thinks killing an embryo is murder The right is anti-homosexual Those are POLICIES. They affect people’s lives.
  15. When you take books out of school libraries, you’re keeping them out of the hands of students. Plenty of kids can’t afford to buy their own books and there’s a big difference between reading through or borrowing a book at the library and buying the book. So, yes, it’s a book ban. And book bans are ridiculous. Reading about Marx isn’t going to make you a Marxist or make you gay. I read Marx and it didn’t make me a Marxist. It’s better to understand your enemies than to be ignorant of them
  16. RIGHT WING INTOLERANCE: Conservatives have to lead the way in restoring sex to its true purpose, & ending recreational sex & senseless use of birth control pills. -- The Heritage Foundation <-- click hyperlink if you don't believe me
  17. What is “Christian Identity” and what is threatening it? Has “the left” tried to close one single church anywhere in America? Has “the left” tried to ban any Christian prayer books? The Left simply recognizes that Christians have religious rights EQUAL TO any other religious group. Period. America does not have a Christian government. It has a non-religious government. Iran has a bearded old man who tells the government what G-d says. America does not have that. It is constitutionally prohibited.
  18. Who's tolerant of homosexuality? The Left Who's tolerant of Muslims? The Left Who's attacking gay rights? The Right Who's attacking a woman's right to choose? The Right Who's for institution of a Muslim ban? The Right Who supports a candidate who called the Coronavius the "Kung Flu"? The Right Who's intolerant of science? The Right I don't need some stupid think tank to tell me who's intolerant. The Right is intolerant.
  19. I'm very happy to hear that you have an active imagination. However, Trump's attorneys had their day in court and were able to present any evidence they wished to counter the claim that Trump's 10,996 sq foot penthouse was actually 30,000 square feet. They failed to do so. So, elevator shaft or not, it's 10,996, not 30,000. It's part of two stories of the building, not the entirety of three stories, as Trump has often claimed. As for an elevator shaft... ok, fine... but an elevator is only around 6x6 feet, or 36 square feet. You're trying to replace square feet with cubic feet. It doesn't work that way. Also, there are standardized guildelines for evaluating square footage in real estate, such as this document from Fannie Mae. Common areas aren't considered square footage, and neither are refinished attics or basements, unless they are permitted habitable spaces which meet all applicable codes. This was a big part of Trump's problems: None of his people could answer any questions about generally accepted accounting principles or standard appraisal methods. If they simply said, "We comply to the XYZ appraisal standard," or "We hire independent, credentialed firms to appraise," or "We use our own formulae based upon evaluating comparable units, etc.," but none of the Trump people could say that. Trump himself said he would just use a "hunch" to establish value. Well... that's just nonsense. https://www.forbes.com/sites/chasewithorn/2022/09/21/how-forbes-exposed-trumps-lies-about-the-size-of-his-penthouse/?sh=6db2c35058ec
  20. “I don’t like Democrats” is not a scandal. Shouid I make a separate thread of Trump Administration scandals so you can see what actual scandals are?
  21. Further: In vitro fertilization, just like ordinary pregnancy, involves fertilizing eggs which don’t become humans. Often 40 eggs are fertilized, and they’re implanted into a uterus four at a time, hoping that one takes hold. The process is repeated until one reaches viability, and the remaining fertilized eggs remain frozen in case the couple chooses to have more children. Hence, the life-creating procedure of IVF is murder under Alabama law.
  22. That’s not what happened in the Trump case. Trump’s home in his tower is 10,000 sq feet. Trump repeatedly stated that it was 30,000. He added five floors to his buildings. This isn’t “negotiable”. He knew the square footage and then number of floors. The judge said he accepted that there’s a subjective aspect of evaluations and a 20% variance is not unreasonable. And that’s exactly what you’re arguing — 20%. Judge said 20% is no problem. Trumps exaggerations were far greater.
