First a trickle....Now a flood
TreeBeard replied to Goddess's topic in Health, Science and Technology
You didn’t read Dr. Sagan’s book, did you? Funny that you’d quote a scientist out of context. He wasn’t a fan of conspiracy thinking. -
First a trickle....Now a flood

Quoting Carl Sagan as if he was talking about vaccine conspiracies is pretty rich. Have you actually read the book that the quote is from? It’s call the “Demon-haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark”. Im quite certain that Dr. Sagan would not be drawing the same conclusions as your conspiracy-addled mind. -
If there were no NDP, would the Cons ever win? Seems to me that the vote is split on the “left”, and not on the “right”.
-
How is it “powerful”?
-
Do you agree with the poster that black people should be referred to as niggers and are a different species than white people?
-
Aren’t the polls at roughly the same numbers as the last election, within the margin of error? He seems to be doing fine, despite a likely bump for the Cons due to the leadership fight and all the bd news about inflation and gas prices. what fantasy land do you people live in? Were you one of the people predicting Trudeau’s downfall the last 3 elections?
-
Yes, it’s certainly neck & neck currently. And the analysis by the editorial writer at the NP seems to be relying on a demographic that didn’t vote for the Cons to win…. hmmm…. Dubious claim? But the Cons are still running in the 30%s. Why aren’t they polling higher with a government that, if you listen to the members of this forum, is the least popular in the history of Canada? But there won’t be an election for a couple years….

According to what exactly? Feelings or polls?

Un-tried, and likely to remain so as Canadians in general like vaccines, dislike illegal protests and have seen his Bitcoin promotion as a severe lack of judgement, and possibly ethics. Do these make his policies stupider in the eyes of most Canadians than the current stupid policies from Trudeau? I think they do…
-
Is there any way that I could convince you that I was also talking about policies in the context of the post I quoted, or have you made up your mind about what I meant?
-
I thought it was obvious that I was talking about policies. But I will insert the word policies in there.
-
Maybe it’s a case of the stupid (policies) that people know versus the even stupider (policies) coming from Poilievre? What would you choose…. stupid, or really stupid (policies)?

Even the ones handing out the prizes now say they shouldn’t have rewarded those opinions. “In a follow-up statement later Tuesday, Armstrong-Homeniuk apologized after she said she heard concerns from her caucus and cabinet colleagues. “It’s clear that the process failed, and I apologize for my role in that. The selection of this particular essay and awarding it with third prize was a failure on my part as the head of the judging panel,” she stated.” https://edmontonjournal.com/news/politics/prize-winning-sexist-racist-essay-should-not-have-been-chosen-alberta-associate-minister

Why would you think he’s lying?

How did that work out for O’Toole or his predecessor (whom I can’t even remember now…)? If there was going to be a bounce in the polls where it matters, who do you think it’s more likely to happen to: the loony conspiracy leader, but not the more moderate fella?

A question for all. How to deal with this quandary.

Yes. Antisemitic assholes are a persecuted group, didn’t you know? -
Closer to 1943. When Nazi “scientists” categorized humans into different species. Homo haryanus for the white people, I guess?
-
Because it is based on biology and taxonomy. There’s not a biologist or taxonomist in the 20th century who would categorize different colours of humans into different species. So in one instance, you believe the experts. On the other, I suspect you go with your feelings, which are decidedly anti-science. The rest of your post is racist claptrap.
-
God’s supposedly. Inspired by Him. Inerrant? Many say.
-
Yes. Of course they’re a different species. But this is a red herring. So which colour(s) of people are Homo sapiens? And the other species, what is their taxonomic category, if not H. sapien?

Whether Jesus is a deity, or not, the god part should still clarify a few things. His writings, while great and influential literature, are often contradictory and confusing. And change without notice.

Conservative Leadership September 10th

Oh, I’m not Green. Didn’t I just explain that I didn’t vote Green in the previous election? And that I don’t vote on party affiliations? I have none. I am that “mushy middle”.
