Unfortunately the overall structure of the USA rules against spending a penny of public money, inconveniencing so much as one corporate entity, risking the return of a single shareholder's dividend or even the co-operation of 50 sub-entities. Add in 50 years of anti-nuclear propaganda and the growth of anti-science beliefs, the very thought of green alternatives is doomed there. As impossible as public health care...

Vaccine Fails: Ohmigod Variant Can Turn You Into Quivering Blob of Jelly Billy Jones after third dose of Ohmigod vaccine Researchers in Geneva warn that only patented vaccines made in the USA by giant pharma BrandName company are safe and others can potentially have disastrous side effects. Generic knockoffs and treatments made in Russia, China and India have resulted in children being born with the head of a donkey, patients growing antennae from their foreheads and sixth fingers and worse. BrandName Pharma also warns that all other brands of medical masks are made from recycled toilet paper fished from the Ganges River downstream from the Fukushima reactor while it’s own masks contain certified MyPillow fluff. cont’d Pg 11 Omigod

And what the hell's that got to do with Ukraine? THey sure as hell won't be building any nuclear power stations in a war zone. They're gonna need small decentralized power generation exactly like wind & solar. Shit you'd be an idiot to waste missiles and drones on. Cheap, quick to build, many of them.

He doesn't. He has permission from the gov't and still has some handguns. Why your concern for no new owners? Their tough shit, not yours.
-
Yes they do. That's about all you can do with them. Went to the range w a buddy. He moved away for 5 years, came back and in 5 more, never went again. Dust collectors

Look some of these guys are so far behind the times they think not expanding oil production is the same as reducing it. It an inseparable part of their Climate denial, tax dollars should go to the rich not the people, there is only unfettered capitalism or Soviet communism, nothing in between beliefs.
-
I hear the other side of the story. And I don't give a shit that there will be no more legal handgun owners. MOF I see nothing more than a want by some, there's no NEED involved. You can't hunt with one, you have to keep it in a safe, you need papers to transport it to a range to even use it. The few people with a rural property where they can shoot one's is insignificant as to the whole country. I was one of those once, never considered a hand gun a useful tool. That's all my long guns were - tools. Buy a BB/pellet gun for target shooting. That's all you can do with a handgun.
-
So tell us how you'd take handguns away from criminals. This is about limiting the number of legal owners. Now if you even see one, you can call a cop. It's either illegal or unsafely stored or transported. To which 80% of us say 'good' or 'who cares'. If you have one already, you still have it. If you don't, too damn bad. Not going to cost him a single voter, the only people that want one and don't have one already aren't gonna vote for him anyways.

Good to see. Canada was once a world leader in nuclear reactors, about time to use what we learned.

They covet PEI potatoes for vodka. But seeing their performance in the Ukraine, they wouldn't make it past Hudson & Rex. Woof! Woof!

I suppose if you can believe oil that you don't even buy unless it's cheaper than domestically produced oil forces the price up ... well, what can I say? I could tell you the price has to go up because Gramma wore brown shoes today, you'd buy that too. Wanna blame Biden for something regarding oil? Blame him for not asking Alberta to supply more.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.

Carrying 800kms of gas makes you go to the gas station more often. I have 2 mid size SUVs that max out less than 60L that's less than 600 kms. Of course you might be like the guy who looked me in the eye and said his 68 Charger with the 440 six-pack got 20 mpg when I knew if he said 10 he was lying. Or all the guys with F150s who tell me they can make a 400km trip to go shopping for only a 'few bucks'. Like I said many times it ain't gov't regulations and taxes that will force you buy an EV, it's the sucking greed of the oil companies who know you didn't stop buying gas at $2.50L so they'll damn well try for $3.50L next excuse. FFS I just watched people buy $80 turkeys and bleat how that's the government's fault. -
The "leftards" don't have to make shit up like "Trudeau's War on Alberta's Oil". It's obvious to everyone else in the world that we're ALL transitioning away from fossil fuels. SO mentioning that isn't much of a bloody war is it? So it's pretty obvious also when you acknowledge that 'capitalists hate' regulations, that it ain't the politicians that are the problem and voting in the ones they own is only going to screw you worse. I mean really, here you are after oil hit it's high that was lower than the last peak, gas is a dollar a litre more and your calling people names because they see who pocketed the other 98 cents.

I know plenty of lifetime Conservatives who won't vote for them until they get rid of the extreme right elements. Some were Reform Party organizers and supporters who saw every sensible element of their platform discarded and the most assholic ones promoted. Six of them are Albertans who'll be voting for Notley this spring. I've always been a 'politicians must be changed like diapers' voter, but the box says 18-24 lbs. on the label and I'm sure not ready to change Trudeau's 10lbs of shit for ones that come new with 40 lbs of shit already in them.

No, they banned manufacture and sale of. You won't be able to buy a 2036 F350 diesel w duallies. Maybe you'll be able to get a used 2035 one. Or a hybrid. Maybe you can't take the Oregon Trail in your covered wagon and let the horse eat grass on the side of the path either. Can't take the kids on a non-stop drive to WallyWorld and eat at Howard Johnsons either. Welcome to the world changes...
