  1. Most of these large fires in remote areas are caused by lightning strikes. Higher temperatures also make thunderstorms more common and violent. That's why we don't have them in winter. Smoke from the Sask and Man fires is now blanketing the north east US. They also massively increase CO2 emissions while destroying the forests that absorb them.
  2. Yup, just like I said. The more you are contradicted the more vicious you get. Cult 101.
  3. You sound just like every other cult that attacks anyone who dares to leave it.
  4. She woke up and realized she had let herself be used by someone who's only interested is making points with fools like you.
  5. Good for her, returning it because she won’t be used again by the PoS who gave it to her.
  6. Shoot first, aim later. Seems to be a MAGA trait.
  7. The US imports 60% of its aluminum, almost all of it from Canada. They don't have the generating or smelting capacity to replace it. Americans can look for big price increases in products with high aluminum content. American products will become even less competitive in world markets.
  8. So what, your post was about a WW2 bomber crew.
  9. Maybe they are and maybe they aren't but you still can't force the kids to go. Your immigration laws don't override your constitution. This will wind up in court if the government insists on making these kids leave and the government will lose. I've never maintained you can't deport the parents but this thread is about their kids. It's in the title.
  10. No they can't. WTF do you think citizenship means? You just can't make up excuses to justify violating their rights or the fundamental protections guaranteed by citizenship. I don't know what a 10 year old wants. Maybe he does want to stay with his family but maybe his family believes he will be better off staying even without them. That's their decision whether you like it or not. You can't make a citizen (or anyone else for that matter) responsible for, or suffer the consequences of the actions of their parents
  11. Can you guarantee you wouldn't try to do the same if you were stuck in some 3rd world shit hole run by gangs? I'm not the one making moral judgments here, I'm simply saying citizens cannot be forced out of their own country for any reason. Keeping families together is just the excuse being used to justify it.
  12. The kids are citizens, citizens have rights. They can't be forced to leave the country of their citizenship any more than you can be forced to leave yours. Your constitution makes their children citizens.
  13. Because your constitution allows them to. You can't blame people for wanting a better life.
  14. The kids are citizens, they can't be forced to go with their parents and can't be held responsible for their parent's actions. I'm not making a moral judgement like you and using it as an excuse to force citizens to leave the country. They may well feel that their child is better off abandoned in the US than taken back to a country where they have no future. But then, we will never have to make that kind of choice for our children.
  15. The mess is caused by the constitution that says anyone born in the US is a citizen. Period. We have the same law in Canada although it isn't in the Constitution. I don't agree with it, I think at least one parent should have permanent resident status or better for the child to get automatic citizenship. We don't have a big problem with illegals but birth tourism is an issue in some parts of the country. Women with advanced pregnancy come to Canada on a visitor visa, have their child to get it citizenship, then go back home. Not only does it produce citizens of convenience but it plugs up maternity wards in some hospitals forcing locals to use hospitals in a different town.
  16. So you will be responsible for and have to look after the kids or dump it on local governments. That's all I've been saying. You guys were trying to say you could force the parents to take them along. You can't.
  17. Answer the question. I don't know how many would take their kids, how many would make plans for them or how many would just leave them. All I am saying is whatever they decide to do, there is nothing you can do about it because the kids are citizens. So what are you going to do with the kids that just get left with no plans made for them?
  18. Why do they need a plan? How can you force them? What are you going to do if they don’t, deport them?
