If it wasn't, it would continue to be used as AF1 after he left office and any decision to put it in a presidential library when it is retired would be made by Congress, not a president like he owns the thing. Right, so there is no point in spending $100's of millions to convert this one and then stick it in a museum when you could just put one of the old ones in the museum. This one probably won't be ready before Trump leaves unless they short cut it so much it won't have the capability of the existing aircraft. So you can't find any. Parliament dissolves when an election is called and resumes after a new government is formed. Nothing different here. As a matter of fact it is resuming earlier than normal after an election because the campaign only lasted the minimum time allowed by law. After Harper was elected in late January 2006, Parliament didn't sit until early April. If you look back, a month between an election and parliament's first sitting is pretty standard.

If people don't buy US products there is no need for tariffs. Carney is putting a hold on tariffs for the same reason as Trump, they damage the economy. Explain the US then where punishments are quite severe.

I think it has got worse everywhere. I don't dispute that our justice system has issues but the fentanyl plague has changed everything when it comes to drug deaths. Per capita, the US is as bad or worse than Canada when it comes to opioid deaths even though they have the highest incarceration rate in the world. I'm not sure what the answer is.

Canada's first SMR won't be online until at least 2030. Still not cheap at $7.7 billion. It will really interesting to see how it works out.
