The mother of a friend of my daughters was horribly injured in a car crash, over 6 months later she was still in hospital with non chance of a meaningful recovery and in constant pain. She chose MAID rather than continue to exist as she was. She got no encouragement from her family or anyone else, it was her decision alone.

I was responding to a post that said MAID isn't health care. In some cases it can be. I agree that granting it to the mentally ill is problematic. I really don't know what to make of it. So you are against life saving surgeries and all the other medical procedures that delay a natural death.

Yes terminally ill people who have to be kept drugged out their minds to control pain. That isn’t health care it’s a science experiment. How long can we keep this guy ticking until he croaks. No thanks, I’ll make my own decisions if it comes to that. Does God also decide to keep them alive by medical interventions they don’t want?

Recognizing achievement is not hero worship. Nelson was a brilliant fighting admiral regardless of his private life. The Nile and Trafalgar were as close to complete victories as any sea battles in history with almost complete destruction of French and Spanish fleets while suffering 1/10th the casualties. Combined British dead in both battles was just less than 700.

He did but the returns he released were real, not made up. The guy broke the law by releasing them but Trump still paid next to SFA in taxes, which he fought tooth and nail to keep secret.
