  1. And yet somehow the Americans are faring just fine. You realize what that means? Canada is only insulated so long as it’s tied to the hip with America, leave the American’s warmth and economic doom will follow.
  2. Not sure they had a long enough time out but Canada is feeling the pressure of their 18 months separation from America. Sliding into recession. Hopefully, this becomes a lesson learned to do as told and quit snorting that Chinesium.
  3. It’s a Canadian phenomenon. Claims abusive relationship with America, proceeds to self sabotage and now begging to be taken back. Really could have done this the easy way when orange man offered statehood.
  4. You should be honored to bask in his golden magnificence
  5. If some Americans are struggling how worse off do you think the deadbeats bottom end are hmm? Get some perspective.
  6. I expected this, just didn’t know how long it would be before Canada come crawling back to Uncle Sam.
  7. France, Germany, UK. All entering recession. While the colder North AMERICANS are already there! US on track for increased growth by Q4. That’s right baby, America is the hottest game in town. “US GDP is projected to expand 2.5% in 2026 (fourth quarter, year over year), versus the consensus economist estimate of 2.1%, according to Goldman Sachs Research. On a full-year basis, the economy is forecast to grow 2.8%. The probability of a recession in the next 12 months has fallen from 30% to 20%. All forecasts are as of January 11.” https://www.goldmansachs.com/insights/articles/us-gdp-growth-is-projected-to-outperform-economist-forecasts-in-2026
  8. That makes no sense. Stalling means you are already behind due to inflation. Surely you can defend your echo chamber better than that!
  9. Ready to say uncle yet? Uncle Sam that is!
  10. What makes the world global and not just a collection of different colored hominids? To start, transport ;airplanes, cars, trains, bridges, roads, ships. Then there is the information space that encompasses deep sea cables, satellite telecommunications, radio, computer chips etc. Control over any of these matters will mean the ability to shut down globalization. So, for globalization to continue there needs to be an incentive to not screw over one another and treat each other as customers and not competitors. The incentive need not be financial, could be blackmail like M.A.D
  11. Don’t forget the fourth dimension, time. Just because Rome became the height of western civilization doesn’t mean it will last long enough to be discovered. And while you sci-fi nerd orgasm over the latest engine on whatever space ship, someone is already planning space pirates.
  12. Stop beating around the bush. You know who it relies on. Muricah. Sudetelander, it’s not Canada’s. It’s America.
  13. https://aliens.gov/ we’ve been lied to!
  14. Do you all have collective Amnesia like Biden? Or did you just conveniently forget Biden didn't remove the Trump 1 tariff either.
  15. So what you gona make your own musket now is what I’m hearing? My sentiments exactly
  16. “Pliers make my job easier, let’s ban them” that’s your laymen response. agreed. I know right, if only… It’s a different eco system. The people that make the chip, design the software to use with data center, and all associated supply chain. It’s not an office building or a factory. That’s the wrong way of looking at it.
  17. They certainly are one type of special interest instigating what I see as a non issue. The indefensible position against AI data center has little or no evidence on negative impact to local communities. Sure there is the temporary inconvenience of construction but that is no different than any construction project.
  18. What I read there is Canada is doubling down as America’s vassal state. This raw material serves one customer… America. @BeaverFever
