Good excuse. Obvious deflection because you have no answer.

The town painted a crosswalk in rainbow colours and put up a rainbow flag in a popular tourist area. I find this ridiculous and very presumptive for them to think they have the right to impose the LGBTQ ideology on the whole town.

Your claim that social Conservatism is Fascism is completely false to begin with. Seems you are attempting to stoke a debate about something that is not real. There is no connection between Fascism and social Convservatism. I don't know what your definition of social Conservatism would be but it must be some kind of woke or Communist false definition. Adolph Hitler was a Fascist and the Nazis were Fascists. They were absolute brutal dictators and had an evil ideology of the superiority of their race. That was not social conservatism at all. Social Conservatism is not extreme right wing either. Ordinary conservatism could be described as right of centre on the political spectrum and social Conservatism is just a part of right wing beliefs but encompasses people who are Christians and believe in Christian principles. That is hardly Fascism. Calling social Conservatives Fascists is a smear and a BIG lie. You should be ashamed and apologize for smearing people.

I know. The discussion was related to religion or the difference between Islam and Christianity. Iran is Islamic so any reference to it was in the context of it being Islamic. -
Once again the criminal justice system failed the citizens. " “Despite providing the most explicit and strict directives to Crown Counsel around seeking detention in circumstances like this, we are still seeing the release of people back into the community, and they’re causing harm,” B.C. Premier David Eby said on Tuesday. “They’re hurting people. We will continue to work with the federal government to ensure that the federal criminal code is responsive to what we’re seeing in communities.” Exclusive new details released in Surrey homicide, which family says was random - BC | Globalnews.ca I thought this was resolved between Premiers and the federal government last year after all the talk that something was going to be done about it. Apparently not. When is the federal government going to amend the laws and stop releasing dangerous offenders who harm and kill the innocent citizens who are just trying to live their lives? Also, if we had capital punishment, we might have far fewer murders because criminals would know what price they could pay for their crimes.

That is the most illogical thing anyone could announce. Where did the laws of physics come from? Who designed them? Why does the earth and planets revolve around the sun and not just wander off into space? Where did gravity come from? Who defined it? Well, what do you say as an atheist? Where did all the complex laws of physics come from? You should have some rational explanation for the laws. The existence of the atoms, molecules, protons, electrons that operate on certain precise laws of physics. What is the explanation of where it all came from and who designed it?

The Devil is having a field day with all this garbage. Sodom and Gomorrah all over again in many places and promoted by governments, activists, mainstream media, schools. Totally sick. Yes, the Devil hates "bible thumpers" because it interferes with his agenda of perverting society and destroying the traditional God-fearing family. "8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Trudeau does not accept the NSICOP report on foreign interference by some MPs. Wonder why that is. We know Liberals have been dragging their feet on the foreign interference issue all along. "MPs of all political stripes accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of free travel last year, and many of those trips were bankrolled by entities with ties to foreign governments. House of Commons Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion released his annual report Tuesday. It documents sponsored travel undertaken by 73 MPs — more than a fifth of all members — to foreign locales and a handful of Canadian destinations, paid for either wholly or in part by third-party groups." "Hell is a difficult reality, but it is something that the Bible teaches, and we can’t fully understand God and his world unless we grapple with it. These seven truths should frame our discussion of hell." "5. In one sense, God doesn’t send anyone to hell; we send ourselves. Hell is the culmination of telling God to “get out.” You keep telling God to leave you alone, and finally God says, “Okay.” That’s why the Bible describes it as darkness: God is light; his absence is darkness. On earth we experience light and things like love, friendship, and the beauty of creation. These are all remnants of the light of God’s presence. But when you tell God you don’t want him as the Lord and center of your life, eventually you get your wish, and with God go all of his gifts. We have two options: live with God, or live without God. If you say, “I don’t want God’s authority. I would rather live for myself,” that’s hell. In The Great Divorce and The Problem of Pain, Lewis put it this way: In the long run the answer to all those who object to the doctrine of hell is itself a question: “What are you asking God to do?” . . . To leave them alone? Alas, I am afraid that is what he does. . . . In the end, there are only two kinds of people—those who say to God “thy will be done” and those to whom God says in the end “thy will be done.”" For the whole article: 7 Truths About Hell (thegospelcoalition.org) -
"The biblical account of Sodom and Gomorrah is recorded in Genesis. Genesis 18 records the Lord and two angels coming to speak with Abraham. The Lord informed Abraham that “the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous” (Genesis 18:20). Verses 22–33 record Abraham pleading with the Lord to have mercy on Sodom and Gomorrah because of the righteous people who might be there. Abraham’s nephew, Lot, and his family lived in Sodom. Genesis 19 records the two angels, disguised as human men, visiting Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot met the angels in the city square and urged them to stay at his house. The angels agreed. The Bible then reveals the sin lurking in the Sodomites’ hearts: “Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them’” (Genesis 19:4–5). The angels proceeded to blind the men surrounding the house and urge Lot and his family to flee the city. The wrath of God was about to fall. Lot and his family fled the city, and then “the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities” (Genesis 19:24). What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah? According to Genesis 19, the sin involved homosexuality. The very name of that ancient city has given us the term sodomy, in the sense of “copulation between two men, whether consensual or forced.” Clearly, homosexuality was part of why God destroyed the two cities. The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to perform homosexual acts on what they thought were two men. This is not to say that homosexuality was the only reason why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Ezekiel 16:49–50 gives some more insight: “Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me.” So, the sins of Sodom included pride, apathy, complacency, idleness, and unconcern for the underprivileged. Ezekiel 16:50 adds that a sin of Sodom was that they did “detestable things.” The Hebrew word translated “detestable” refers to something that is morally disgusting. It is the same word used in Leviticus 18:22, where homosexuality is an “abomination.” Jude 1:7 also weighs in: “Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.” So, again, while homosexuality was not the only sin of Sodom and Gomorrah, it does appear to be the primary reason for the destruction of those cities. Those who attempt to explain away the biblical condemnations of homosexuality claim that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was inhospitality. That’s one of the sins—the men of Sodom and Gomorrah were certainly being inhospitable. There is probably nothing more inhospitable than homosexual gang rape. But to say God destroyed two cities and all their inhabitants simply for being inhospitable ignores some obvious details of the story. Sodom and Gomorrah were guilty of many other sins, but homosexuality was the principal reason God poured fiery sulfur on the cities, completely destroying them and all of their inhabitants. To this day, the area where Sodom and Gomorrah were located remains a desolate wasteland. Sodom and Gomorrah serve as a powerful example of how God feels about sin in general and homosexuality specifically." What was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah? | GotQuestions.org

Just telling you what the Bible teaches. Biblical Christianity is exclusionary. It excludes all other religions and belief systems. If you don't believe me, study it yourself.
-
You just answered my question. Thanks. Yes, we have very different beliefs of what it means to be moral (which is really a secular word). Your religion rejects the Bible and replaced it long ago with the opinions of men i.e. popes, church councils, tradition, etc. I will stick with the Bible thanks. Sorry you find it offensive. I don't diminish people. That is your take because what I say disagrees with Romanism. It appears you want to sound accepting of everyone and agreeable to anything. It doesn't work that way. If you stand for the truth, which most of the world rejects, you will be rejected. If the world loves you , beware. You may be on the wrong road. It is not possible to straddle the fence and have it both ways. I accept the Bible which was given to men by the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit.
-
Doesn't sound like you were taught the Bible. What religion or denomination was that? How can anyone who doesn't believe the Bible and is an opponent of God and the Bible decide what is righteous or unrighteous? I have doubts about the use of the word moral. When one talks about what is moral or immoral, whose morality are they referring to? What is the basis of morality?
-
Non-sectarian morality is a myth. There is no such thing. You either accept God's word, the Bible and God's morality or you reject it in which case you are an enemy of God. Humans don't get to decide what is right and wrong (apart from what God has said in his written revelation, the Bible).

All I can tell you is what the Bible says. I don't know who is going to hell. Only God knows. "36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. " John 3:36 KJV What does that verse tell you? -

A little added comment on that. I never suggested I am "holier than thou". Simply commenting on a forum and saying it is my opinion is not being "holier than thou". If it is, then everyone who expresses an opinion must be holier than thou. I am a sinner like everyone else, However I am saved by grace. God saved me entirely by his grace. I didn't do anything to save myself. This is a common mistake many people make who do not understand the Bible or what the Christian faith means. "13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 " 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8, 9 So nobody who is a Christian can boast about it. One becomes a child of God entirely by God's choosing which is God's grace. There is nothing I ever did that deserves God's grace. In fact, I deserve the opposite, condemnation. One cannot earn it. Therefore there is absolutely no grounds to claim "holier than thou". Christians are forgiven entirely on the basis of Jesus Christ dying and shedding his blood on the cross. That is the atonement for their sins. -
If that's how we are governed, then the government is nothing more than a puppet of the masses. I thought leaders were supposed to set an example and show moral leadership and courage in the face of a depraved society. Are they leaders or followers?

What makes you think I believe I am "holier than thou"? What makes you believe my opinion is "bearing false witness"? Or are you just playing the part of the false accuser (the Devil)? Seems to be your main occupation. Incidentally the Bible warns believers that the accuser would do that. That is a fact. -
It was the state acting on the wishes of the general population that removed the Bible and reference to Christianity from public schools. They did this to make way for the pagan ideologies of Socialism, progressivism, liberalism which includes sexual orientation and gender identity in the school system. This proves the downward spiral and depravity of Canadians society in general. This is probably the same in the rest of the world. There needs to be a revival and return to the Bible and Jesus Christ in the land. I don't see any sign of things improving. Things are getting worse in the world in general.

I would have to say my views are very much contrary to Elizabeth May's views on politics and religion. This interview with her reveals a lot of what she believes, which I would disagree with. That is only my opinion. Everyone has a right to their opinion in a free country. quote A number of Canadian Christians are concerned about issues such as abortion and same-sex marriage. What are your policies in those areas? May: The number one difference with the Green Party is that we really do believe that these issues — as difficult and emotional and divisive as they may be — should be treated with respect. I think that it is wrong to be less than respectful when someone says they have a problem with abortion because they recognize from their point of view that life is sacred at all points from conception forward. The Green Party, at the same time, absolutely supports that we need a legal right to abortion in this country. In the same way, same-sex marriage, as a secular legal issue, is a rights issue and a Charter issue. Still, any church community must be able to make its own decisions and its own determinations about whatever forms of marriage are recognized within that religious community. So, to keep it separate between secular and church is really quite critical. I am not unhappy with the policy of the Green Party in these areas, but I think abortion should be safe, legal, and rare. CC.com: You have in some cases been accused of believing in “earthism” — that you worship the earth rather than the Creator. May: Oh no, that is silly. If people want to accuse me of paganism, they can, but it is completely off base. As I have mentioned, I have been a practicing Christian, and I am pretty clear in my theology. In fact, I have studied theology as a part-time effort. I am interested, in the long term, in becoming ordained as an Anglican priest, so I am certainly not a pagan. unquote Elizabeth May: an exclusive interview - Canadian Christianity This interview was from May 3, 2007. While that was quite a number of years ago, I have no reason for believing she has changed her beliefs much since then. She was also Executive Director of the Sierra Club of Canada from 1989 to 2007, which is 18 years. That means she is a die hard environmentalist and believes in climate alarmism. -

Did you read my comments. I explained that in my post just above this one. She leans toward Socialism and the left. Therefore she is more of an ally of the liberal-NDP coalition which is under threat from the foreign interference allegations. Her Green party which has two MPs is in danger of being eliminated in the next election and she needs to find a way to get as much attention as possible now.
