  1. " For now, the government and opposition parties agree with the Bloc Québécois’ motion to ask Justice Marie-Josée Hogue to look into the allegations contained in the NSICOP report as part of her work as commissioner of the public inquiry into foreign interference. May said that while she was intending to vote in favour of the Bloc’s motion, she changed her mind after reading the unredacted version of the NSICOP report. The motion was adopted by all parties, with only May and Green MP Mike Morrice voting against." Elizabeth May says there is 'no list' of MPs in NSICOP report | National Post Elizabeth May and one other MP voted against asking Justice Marie-Josee Hogue to look into the allegations in the report. They were the only two MPs who voted against it. What is wrong with them? Why would they oppose looking into the allegations? I wouldn't trust May with anything. Why is she trying to dismiss the whole thing? What makes her think she is an expert and has all the answers? I see two reasons why May has come out in opposing investigating these allegations and trying to downplay the whole thing: 1. She is a long time Anglican which is a type of social gospel church. It is not a fundamental Bible-believing church. They are divided over things like blessing same-sex couples and LGBTQ. She believes in a social gospel which is contrary to the gospel in the Bible. She supports Socialism. That means she believes in wealth redistribution by providing social programs for the rest of the world. She is also a strong environmentalist. Her ideology may have something to do with trying to downplay the foreign interference part by some MPs. The foreign interference allegations does not look good for the liberals and left, which is the camp the Green Party would be part of. This is her chance to try to throw a monkey wrench into the allegations. 2. She may also have seen an opportunity here to take centre stage and get more attention for her fading Green Party which is probably desperate to get more support. There is a good chance the Green Party will become extinct in the next election. This may be an attempt to get back in the limelight.
  2. It should be obvious Elizabeth May is saying there is nothing here to see folks, move on. That is not what the media has been reporting for many days now. For some reason she is playing the "nothing here to see" card. What she is up to is not clear. "May was the first party leader to read the entire report by the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) that found that some parliamentarians were “semi-witting or witting” participants in foreign interference efforts in Canadian politics." Elizabeth May says there is 'no list' of MPs in NSICOP report | National Post If some MPs were "semi-witting or witting" participants in foreign interference efforts, who is Elizabeth May to play it down and dismiss it? I don't believe her take on it. You can if you want. Unless we know exactly what has been going on and what these MPs have been doing, we are not really in a position to dismiss it as a nothing burger as Elizabeth May has done. I wouldn't trust her in anything she says. She says there is "no list" of MPs. The fact that the names are not listed does not mean there are no MPs who participated in foreign interference. The report says there are MPs who participated. She is playing loosely with words to make it sound like there is nothing to be concerned about.
  3. You are not telling the truth there fella. " After more than 25 years of Canadian governments pursuing a hands-off approach to the online world, the government of Justin Trudeau is now pushing Bill C-10, a law that would see Canadians subjected to the most regulated internet in the free world. Although pitched as a way to expand Canadian content provisions to the online sphere, the powers of Bill C-10 have expanded considerably in committee, including a provision introduced last week that could conceivably allow the federal government to order the deletion of any Facebook, YouTube, Instagram or Twitter upload made by a Canadian. In comments this week, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh indicated his party was open to providing the votes needed to pass C-10, seeing the bill as a means to combat online hate." 'Full-blown assault' on free expression: Inside the comprehensive Liberal bill to regulate the internet | National Post " was reintroduced with amendments as the Online Streaming Act during the first session of the 44th Canadian Parliament in February 2022, passed in the House of Commons on June 21, 2022, and passed in the Senate on February 2, 2023. It received royal assent on April 27, 2023, after the consideration of amendments by the House." Online Streaming Act - Wikipedia
  4. Nothing exaggerated. Canadians are losing their freedom bit by bit. But you're ok with it.
  5. I didn't say it was the same as China.. we are heading in the direction of authoritarianism which anybody should be able to see. Liberals trying to control speech, human rights tribunals that also control speech. Anything they don't approve of is hate speech. That is a characteristic of China and other dictatorships. That's all I meant.
  6. Funny you want to try to dissect his comments when in fact he is a late night entertainer. This is meant to be entertainment first and foremost. There is a lot of truth in what he says though. Who could argue with his unemployment numbers. It is far worse in Canada. What about the cost of housing. He says housing is more expensive in Canada than the U.S. but his figures I don't believe are accurate. It is far more expensive in Canada than he says. Especially in major cities like Toronto and Vancouver. I think the average price in Vancouver is over a million dollars. BC is completely taken over by the woke NDP and the BC Liberals, now BC United Party. The BC Liberals were one of the first in the world to bring in carbon taxes in 2008 under Premier Gordon Campbell. Now they are trailing in the polls. Far below the BC Conservatives. However the NDP is still in the lead which shows you the mindset of many people in the woke BC. Sexual orientation and gender identity is still a big thing in B.C. schools. The NDP recently passed a law to ban any protests or demonstrations a certain distance from all schools. Like Commie China now. Yes Canada is a mess.
  7. Maher's comments were quite accurate. Canada leans toward being woke. But worse than that it must be described as a heathen country. It is on a downward projectory. I offer just a couple proofs. 1. Assisted suicide. 2. Abortion on demand. 3. Officially legalized same-sex marriage approved and condoned by most MPs and society in general.
  8. Professionals that have harmed children with their sex selection medications and surgeries should be held accountable in courts just like the Nuremburg Trials for the Nazis and the Holocaust. Maybe some day they will be. I would hate to be in their shoes on judgment day.
  9. As I said the Ottawa elite (liberal-NDP coalition) want to end the fossil fuel industry in the west. Now I see Freeland talking about carbon capture. This is another scheme to make the fossil fuel producers only produce oil and gas with no carbon released. This would likely cost the industry billions of dollars and really threaten the industry. It would likely make it so expensive to produce fossil fuels that investors will pull out and go to some other country. That is what Trudeau's war on the climate does. That is probably what Trudeau and his gang want. They know they can't outright shut down the industry, so they have another underhanded way of doing the same thing. Freeland to oilsands: Tax credit nearly law, time to start building carbon capture (msn.com) It is causing great harm to Canada for nothing. Canada cannot control the climate at all. But his carbon tax and countless other extreme authoritarian measures are proving to a lot of people he is doing serious harm to the country. I see the liberals are shutting down open net salmon farming on the B.C. coast now. This will kill many jobs and further hurt the economy. I don't believe salmon farming in the ocean is harmful. I do believe it is very competitive to the salmon fishing industry. They probably don't want any competition. Of course environmentalists oppose salmon farms because they oppose almost anything to do with the environment even if it doesn't harm anything. The truth is wild salmon fishing is only done for a short period each year in the fishing season. Wild caught salmon are several times the price of fish farm salmon and that makes farmed salmon a good product for many people who like to eat salmon. Fish farming exists in many countries. Liberals want to get rid of it.
  10. Makes one wonder if the confederation called Canada is still a good functioning system. We have a federal government that has made itself unpopular with the vast majority of citizens. We still have an unelected Senate and a Supreme court largely appointed by liberals and a federal government that seems to be controlled by a small clique of elites in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal, mainly Montreal. They believe it is their God-given right to dictate that the fossil fuel industries in western Canada should end while they give billions of dollars in subsidies to their chosen industries in central Canada at the expense of everyone else. Are they really representing the interests of all provinces equally or favouring certain provinces that vote for them? Perhaps we need some major changes to the Confederation.
  11. "Canada’s politics, like sports, has become all about money, thanks to governments increasingly inept at anything beyond writing cheques. They’re desperate for it, open to any means of squeezing cash that can be used to fuel more promises. And no administration needs it more than the federal Liberals, who spend money with the desperate helplessness of alcoholics reaching for a bottle. After eight years of professing an intense dedication to responsible budget management the best they could do for 2023 was a deficit of $50.9 billion." Kelly McParland: Chrystia Freeland talks nonsense (msn.com)
  12. Once a baby is conceived, it is too late. The preborn baby is already a human. There is no right to murder a preborn human in God's economy and according to his written revelation, the Bible. To kill unborn babies or even support such a thing places one on the wrong side of God. Why people do this kind of thing is explained in this article. "Corruption is a state of decay, pollution, or incorrectness. In the Bible, corruption is one of the effects of sin that resulted from the fall of man. In the beginning, God created a perfect paradise, free of sickness, pain, and death. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit, sin entered the world, spoiling its perfection. That sin also brought contamination and decay to Adam and Eve and to the human nature of every person born after that (Romans 5:12). Thus, corruption in the Bible is the state of moral contamination and spiritual decay expressed through disobedience toward God." 13. Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland just said the tax hike is all about funding free birth control for teenage girls among other things. It's all about making pre-marital sex for teenagers more accessible and easy with no risks. Sadly liberals have no moral compass.
  14. 1. The unborn are already people "in God's book". 2. I don't know where you would find statistics on abortions by race in Canada.
  15. Don't you think it would also make sense to ban abortion in Canada? That would mean 80,000 to 100,000 more Canadians born in Canada. Instead the descendants of the European founding peoples are being replaced by immigrants from third world countries and aboriginals who will take over the country.
  16. There are lobbyists or advocates for every cause under the sun talking to politicians or MPs. That is how a democracy works. I don't know what kind system you think should replace it. The idea of having every conversation recorded on camera between a citizen or activist and his MP or some politician is totally contrary to our democratic system. Everyone has the right, be it a private citizen wanting to talk about his own beliefs about problems in society or some big shot CEO of a pharmaceutical corporation to talk to politicians. It is just nuts to suggest otherwise. Private conversation is a basic human right. It is none of your business what someone else wants to say to an MP.
  17. A due process must be followed such as an RCMP/CSIS investigation of all the details and then if warranted charges must be laid. After that the names of politicians that have been charged with an offence would probably be made public. But until that time, I don't think the names can be made public.
  18. Blasphemy! You need help. What conversations involving public's business? Any conversations between MPs or officials and the public are private. There is no right to have cameras recording what are private conversations in the political world. Sounds more like Orwell's 1984 with Big Brother watching everyone. Everyone's home had a camera that monitored everyone. Perhaps that is what you will say next.
  19. You don't understand the basic principles of democracy here. Cameras cannot be used between MPs and their constituents or Canadians. The right to private conversations about issues is a fundamental right.
  20. The reason Canada is an easy target for authoritarian countries like China is because our system is completely open to the world and there are so many laws and practices that keep it open. China on the other hand is not open. Their system is an Orwellian system of absolute submission and control. It is an authoritarian country which is strictly and tyrannically and I might add, controlled by one party, the CCP's central committee and chairman. It is Chairman Mao's party which believes they are god and will not countenance any other god or competition. Did you know they have statues and pictures of Chairman Mao throughout the country? He is like a kind of prophet of Communism that must be obeyed and worshiped. But anything in the world that enhances their vision of authoritarianism in the world and control over everyone else is supported and approved of. They view open democratic systems with human rights and freedoms as a threat to their own system. That is why they can never really be trusted and at peace with the west, although I admit we must do everything we can to try to come to some sort of peaceful understanding and agreements. However, if they are infiltrating our countries institutions and increasing control, and attacking the west with a virus, that changes the whole picture. Perhaps we should be moving away from them, and reducing trade and all ties and influences. Welcome to the new world. What is amazing is Canada's retired head of the Supreme Court of Canada is now a judge on a court in Hong Kong which is part of China. "“(The CFA) has supported the regime’s crackdown on dissent and endorsed moves to strip away defendants’ rights. In several cases … the foreign judges have even voted directly to imprison political dissidents.” Yet McLachlin remains. I suspect her stubborn refusal to hear reason will embolden a school of thought that holds Supreme Court judges should be made to retire for good from legal affairs once they leave the bench." Chris Selley: Beverley McLachlin drags us all down with her in China (msn.com)
  21. From my experience here, I doubt eyeball reads more than one or two lines. I don't think he is here to learn anything, but I could be wrong. Just haven't seen much evidence. You may be wasting a lot of time and energy on answering him with a long post, but there is always hope.
  22. Unfortunately science has a lot of conjectures and speculations that many claim as fact. Good example is the theory of evolution which has been debunked by a number of scientists and educated professionals. Still educational institutions still cling to it and teach it to school kids as if it is a scientific fact, when it is far from it. It is a now debunked theory by many. This has led many to believe in creation or intelligent design by a Creator. Some things just cannot be proven by the scientific method. It is not possible to re-enact things like evolution and nobody was around to observe it as according to the theory it happened over millions of years. In the case of the Covid virus, apparently no witnesses have come forward, as far as I know, to give credible proof of how it originated and was initially spread to humans. That doesn't mean it was not spread from a laboratory in Wuhan. It only means nobody has clear proof. It is pointless to debate over proof or hypothesis. There may be good reasons for suspecting it originated from a lab. So it seems rather nonsensical to post on here endlessly that there is no proof. Proof is not necessary to have suspicions about something. Lack of proof does not in any way end the subject. China has not cooperated in investigating it with other countries which also leads to suspicions that they know more about it than they are willing to admit. Maybe China has something to hide.
  23. Personally I don't think it was an accident. My belief is based on the book I mentioned in postings above, Unrestricted Warfare... etc.
