  1. One thing that makes me question the whole "climate change is mainly because of human activity" narrative is earth's volcanic activity. It's ignored by climate fanatics and rejected because, like MH, they reject science from volcanologists because they are not "climate scientists". I posted on here about the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption when it happened in 2022 and it was largely ignored by the climate fanatics on here. That was a major climate event. It released the equivalent of 58,000 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water vapor into the air and there was an article from NASA that I posted, indicating exactly how it would affect the climate on earth, what we could expect climactically from that massive amount of water vapor suddenly being injected into the atmosphere. For the next few years, as I watched those predictions play out accurately - every news report explained those climate effects as being because of human activity. No mention of the volcanic eruption. As of today, there are 46 volcanoes erupting on earth. It's estimated that each volcano emits as much CO2 in 2 seconds, as the human race does in a year. You can't tax volcanoes. That's why climate fanatics ignore their effect on climate.
  2. Overwhelming Majority of US Youth Worried About Climate Change
  3. Baloney. You all have your head so far up Liberal a$$, there would never be an alternative that would be acceptable to you. How do I know? 11 years of Liberal failure. And they're acceptable to you.
  4. Yes, yes. I'm sure the huge raises, fancy new titles, world travel and unlimited expense accounts with zero accountability had nothing to do with their decisions. That's what they're saying, for sure. It's a bold claim. I'm not sure the Net Zero and Central Banking agendas will "help" Canadians, though. And the voters who elected them clearly didn't want those agendas or they would have voted Liberal in the first place.
  5. Another difference: Podcasters and especially Rogan interviews people they don't necessarily agree with and gives them hours to speak. CBC banned Conservative voices.
  6. I think we all know that Carney is desperate to get a majority government, by any means necessary. And he'll get it. A majority will give him free rein to implement his life-long wet dreams of Net Zero agenda and Central Banker agenda. He's the architect of both. I don't think Canadians know what's coming. And when they get the final bill......they ain't gonna like it. Are you going to give the Liberals another decade of chances? Do you think Canada has that much time economically?
  7. Dang. If only you had this conviction a decade ago. We wouldn't be in this mess.
  8. This information will be quickly ignored. Libbies are hard-wired now. Everything wrong with Canada is Trump's fault. The Conservatives have a solution to that. HINT: The solution isn't blaming Trump.
  9. Citing the slowdown in the EV market in Canada and uncertainty in trade, Honda has "postponed" plans to establish EV production in Canada. Down the drain: Honda - $15.7 billion Stellantis - $26 billion Ford - $19.5 billion GM - $6 billion Collectively: $67 billion dollars torched in Liberal "investments" Liberals: "Yes, we know Poilievre was right on everything, but he was 'distasteful' so we voted for complete economic and societal collapse instead." They don't care. It doesn't matter the massive record of failure in every government portfolio, it means nothing to them. They're on the "winning" team. That's all that matters.
  10. Hmmmm. Yet you support the party that is adamant about passing it out to Canadians for free. Including children.
  11. Mining hurts the climate and the local environment and yet is critical for both solar panels and wind turbines. Turbine blades need to be replaced every 20 years and are buried in the ground, along with all the chemicals that went into producing them. Is that good for the environment, do you think? Off-shore wind farms harm the earth's natural weather patterns and also interfere with ocean creatures, particularly whales. The blades kill untold millions of birds every year. The energy produced by them is intermittent, so backup fossil fuels are needed. Unless you're okay with your grama freezing to death when it's -45. Commercial fishing harms the environment. Forestry and pulp mills harm the environment. Agriculture harms the environment with fertilizers and pesticides. All industry harms the environment. Auto manufacturing harms the environment and fossil fuels are needed for that industry. I bet you are against coal mining, yes? You would be one of the people protesting the coal mine right now, in Alberta. You likely don't know that the coal mine being protested is for a special kind of coal - metallurgical coal that is necessary for steel production - which you are likely against the steel industry as well. So if your criteria for rejecting an industry is based on it harms the environment, you most decidedly ARE anti-industry. Which explains your support of the Liberal anti-industry strategy for the last 11 years.
  12. So, if Carney had gotten this $300 billion deal for Canada, you would protest it?
  13. Thank you for proving my point. I knew it would be you that wouldn't disappoint. 😎
  14. I notice none of the Liberal cheerleaders want to answer these questions. The reason they won't is because they would rather see Canada burn to the ground than admit their own stupidity in continually voting in the most corrupt gov't in Canadian history. There is nothing the Liberal party can do to destroy Canada that will change their vote.
  15. Does he? Carney was just in India and actually met with the head of Reliance - at his personal home - and got nothing for Canada. But Trump just did. He got a $300 billion deal to build a refinery in Texas. And he didn't even travel to India. Brookfield is partnered with Reliance, so this US deal benefits Carney. But does nothing for Canada. So when Carney met with the guy from Reliance, was he doing a deal for Canada? Or for Brookfield? So maybe you are someone who gets easily twitterpated by Carney's vague tweet about Canada being an energy superpower and being positioned for opportunity, but those words don't put money in citizen's pockets. You know what does? A $300 billion deal to build a refinery. Unfortunately those citizens are Americans. Canadians get bupkis. Again. Carney is accomplishing fuque all for us. But lots of deals that improve his own investments.
  16. Carney will be going on vacation, again, after leaving Norway. Reminder that as governor at the Bank of England he was investigated for abusing tax dollars for travel: Bank of England scandal: expenses déjà vu? | The Independent | The Independent And this: Carney’s dire record at the Bank of England is a warning to Canada - Yahoo News UK When he was installed as Governor by the then Conservative Chancellor George Osborne in 2013, Carney was described as a rockstar central banker, the most brilliant financial mind of his generation, and someone who could bring some intellectual fireworks to economic policy. And yet for all the hype, and the huge salary and expenses he was awarded, the reality turned out to be dire. There were four big problems with the way Carney ran the Bank. To start with, he printed way too much money, first in response to the financial crisis, and then to our departure from the EU. The result? The UK suffered from a spike in inflation that was way above the rest of our competitors. Next, he lost control of regulation, allowing pension funds to invest far too much money into high-risk assets, paving the way for the LDI blow-up that helped end the premiership of the unfortunate Liz Truss. Thirdly, he presided over a steep decline in the City, with the number of companies listing their shares in London in freefall, and while it would be unfair to blame that entirely on the Governor, it was certainly his job to figure out how to maintain London’s status as one of the great financial centres of the world. Finally, and perhaps most seriously, he politicised the Bank. He was a hardcore Remainer when it would have been better for the Bank to remain neutral, and then, even more disgracefully, after leaving office he very publicly endorsed the Labour Party at the last general election, even though a former Governor should remain above the fray. And he committed the Bank to combatting climate change, when it was hard to see that it was ever part of its mandate – the Bank is meant to control inflation and maintain the stability of the financial system. Meanwhile, growth stagnated and real wages stopped rising. On any measure you care to look at, Carney was the worst Governor of recent times. In the years since he left, Carney’s successors at the Bank of England have been struggling to clear up the mess he left behind. His successors as Canadian PM will have to do the same – because Carney will prove just as deeply disappointing in that job as well.
  17. Travis Dhanraj has a podcast you can watch on YouTube. He's had Poilievre on there, Danielle Smith, Elizabeth May, Olivia chow, Lara Trump..... and for the die-hard Trudeau fans, Xavier Trudeau will be on there soon. Can't Be Censored - YouTube
  18. Yes, I watched Travis Dhanraj in committee yesterday. I don't know how the Libbies here can continue to claim CBC isn't biased and that they are getting honest news from it.
  19. Yes. My son has expressed that he worries about letting his daughter go into a public washroom now that men are allowed in there too. Especially knowing that the vast majority of sexual offenders are men. If your family has no safety concerns, then......ok. It actually wasn't a hypothetical. It actually happened to someone.
  20. I guess we're different then. I also have a daughter and a granddaughter. And a daughter-in-law. I wouldn't want them to experience this very private and embarrassing moment with a man watching them in the bathroom. I guess it's just me? We're going to see more and more of them if you have your way. I've experienced men in the women's washroom twice in the last year, once in an airport and once in a mall. I didn't like it. And I wasn't in the midst of a private and embarrassing moment.
  21. You have no idea or don't care how often this happens to women, do you? And they didn't go running out because a big hairy man was there. They were grateful a big hairy man was NOT in there at the time.
  22. Hi investments are not "blind" to him. He knows exactly what he's invested in. And the deals he's made so far, all benefit his investments. He's also been caught meeting several times with Brookfield execs. One of them claimed, in committee meeting, that he only requested a meeting with Carney to talk about antisemitism in Canada. I'm sure you believe him, but some of us think it's sketchy.
