To each his own. I'll leave you to your pants sh!tting.

LOOK OVER THERE! IT'S TRUMP! Not done sh!tting your pants yet? Let us know when you guys are done so we can start working on our economy.
-
It's been a year....I don't see American troops at our border. Do you? Seems Trump is quite occupied with dealing with his own country. The only way I see the Americans doing anything to us, is if we continue to implode ourselves. Which we seem to be hell-bent on doing. Yes, yes! don't look at what the Liberals do! Focus. On Trump. You know there's a reason why they had to run on fear mongering about Trump and not their record, right?

The Climate Crisis is a global scam
Goddess replied to Reg Volk's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's not just about rights. Women need privacy from men at times. And the bathroom is often one of those times. I put an experience on here before, I'll repeat it but imagine this is your daughter: 13 year old girl out with her mother and best friend. Suddenly gets her period. Mother takes her into the bathroom and helps her get cleaned up, wrapping her in a sweater while they rinse out her clothing and dry it with the hand dryer. Girl is crying, Mom says, "It's okay, honey. We've all been there." Now imagine all that with a big, hairy man wearing a dress, looking on. And I don't care about the feelings of the man. What do you think the young girl is feeling? Do her feelings matter? -
Carney is getting a reputation for being quite nasty to female reporters. I think it's indicative of both his attitude towards women and his attitude towards us "little people" in general. How dare we question him? The reports of his performance in England said the same thing about him - nasty, short-tempered, hard to work with, a money grubber who spent lavishly. Both left & right said that about him. Saw him swat Melanie Joly away from him in the HoC, when she was trying to talk to him. You can only hide your true personality for so long. I don't see him being the "nice" person Liberals think he is.
-
Yup. That reason is the CBC and Carney told you all to poop your pants over Trump and ignore issues at home. I saw it. Carney: Trump wants our land! ** crowd roars in anger ** Carney: Trump wants our water! ** crowd roars louder, shaking fists ** Carney: Trump want to......(ominous voice).......OWN US! **crowd goes ballistic ** I thought, WOW. People are actually buying this. It was over-the-top fear mongering to me. I guess the English "Keep calm and carry on" didn't stick with him during his years there. 😬 I mean seriously, that was the English philosophy over getting bombed, and here we were pooping our pants over some tariffs, while ignoring the real issues at home. Had we not already been through a decade of Liberal anti-industry and giving all our money away to gender sensitive bean farmers in the Congo, tariffs would not have hit us so hard. The Liberals didn't prepare. They were more focused on photo-ops and making announcements about stuff they never intended to do. So now, we have all the same problems - housing, the economy, anti-industry, jobs, healthcare, mass immigration that we can't afford......and nobody working on them.......AND tariffs. AND......Every time Carney bad-mouthed Trump and ELBOWS UP against the Americans, I thought, "Yeesh, does he not know we have to negotiate CUSMA again soon?" His whole platform was "Let's poke the bear." I thought it was a bad strategy from the start.

There were other little things I noticed during the campaign, as well. I didn't like that Carney most often leaves his wife behind in his dust when he's walking. I think that's disrespectful. And although I know not all couples are affectionate in public, I didn't see him express any affection for her until after the election and he thanked her. On the other hand, I saw Poilievre treat his wife tenderly and with affection. He frequently gave her a piggy-back out to the bus after rallies because he knew her feet hurt and he also stayed long after each rally and met every single person who wanted to meet him. When he lost the election, she cried and he gathered her into his arms and held her tight for a long time, kissing the top of her head and whispering to her. I know it's a little thing, but I notice those kinds of things.

It sounded better to me than ELBOWS UP! I dance flamenco, so the chicken dance you all were doing seemed very......errrrr.....juvenile to me.

Poilievre is even losing votes in Alberta
Goddess replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I think the last 6 people are going to flip. Maybe not Don Davies, but I'm sure he'll use the "We can do more good over here" excuse if he does. -
It was a pretty fast election. It had to be. Couldn't give the Canadian public time to actually find out what Carney was all about. I read his Values book during that time and also checked out the mood in England on his performance there. I actually only did that because he lied about single-handedly saving Canada during the 2008 crash. I knew that wasn't true when he said it. I listened to what he said at his rallies and in interviews. There wasn't much beyond "Trump! Trump! Everybody poop your pants!" When he said there was definitely NOT a drug crisis in Canada, he pretty much lost me. It told me, this guy hasn't been in Canada so long, he doesn't know what the hell is going on here.

Not for Liberal cheerleaders, that's for sure. For Conservative voters, it was. That's why we informed ourselves. ☺️
-
Sure you did, dummy. 🤣 Baloney. They were vocal about bringing in their (already written up) Accountability Act and you still voted against them. I saw multiple interviews on it. You do understand that they can't "do" anything about much of anything if they're not in power, right? Again, do you understand that he can't "do" anything unless he's in power? You seem to expect Conservatives to solve problems when they're NOT in power, but don't expect the Liberals to solve anything when they ARE in power.
-
Ya, seems they're worse. Carney only released his 3 days before, on April 19th. Poilievre was April 22, not the 20th. So I'm not sure it made much difference. As you pointed out, Liberals voters chose mainly without seeing a cost platform from either side, so...... I'm also not sure how many Canadians look at those, though. If anyone WAS interested in their platform and how it would be costed, you would have had to search that out. CBC has had a ban on Conservatives being on camera. I was interested in both, so I just watched what they both had to present. Carney was "Trump! Trump! Trump!" Poilievre had an actual plan for the issues that Canadians cared about - housing, jobs, the economy, defense, the drug crisis, reducing gov't spending. I also wanted to hold the Liberals accountable for the mess they've made the last 10 years. As you said, you did not. I couldn't vote NDP, which I've done in the past. They stupidly propped up the Liberals for too long and Canadians suffered as a result. I found it arrogant that Singh said he was only doing it for as long as there was a suspected Conservative majority, because he had decided for Canadians that we should not ever have a Conservative gov't. I was very offended by that statement.

It'll be a majority in April. And there's a good chance your guy will cross over to save his own political a$$. You think he gives a sh!t about YOU? -
I've read a lot about what has happened in other countries (Like Venezuela) and I believe Canada is on the brink of economic collapse. Had Poilievre been elected a year ago, we would already be exporting resources. Big ticket ones like LNG. He would have cut wasteful spending. No unaccountable foreign aid til we got back on our feet. Like Harper did during the 2008 crash, he would have frozen their raises til we got back on our feet. Deportations for everyone who doesn't belong here and is leeching off our system. I liked his plans for Arctic Defense. I liked his plans to deal with the drug crisis. Carney said there was no drug crisis. Under the Libs, none of these problems are anywhere close to even being worked on. Some promissory notes from other countries. The reasons why I think this even more since the last election: Liberal focus on censorship bills. They want it so Canadians cannot speak out about them. They just re-vamped how the budget will work. Jaques said it goes against international standards and will make it harder for Canadians to know what is actually going on. Then they appointed the chick who let TD bank launder millions of $$ for drug cartels, right under her nose. A crony of Freeland & Carney. Canadians will never get an honest budget assessment again. I believe, like CSIS, that when Canadians figure out how badly they've been lied to, there will be revolts. That is easily solved by the Liberals by invoking the Emergency Act again. An economic emergency. There was no accountability the last time they did it, they'll invoke it and be long gone with their bags of cash before the courts again rule it illegal. No election under the EA. I think the Libs know we're going to crash. They're just lying to Canadians and trying to gaslight us long enough to stuff their pockets before it all comes down.
-
Did he manage that all on his own? Or did you poop your pants because the CBC told you to?
-
I remember when Andrew Sheer was subbing for Pierre in the HoC and CBC told you all to be afraid of him because he had dual citizenship with the US, and the Lib cheerleaders here were all pooping their pants. Then Carney appointed Tim Hodgson. Who has dual citizenship with the US. And not a peep. It's so obvious that you guys all poop your pants every time CBC tells you to. 🤣

Canada's State Broadcaster had a Ban on Conservatives

Dhanraj also showed the DNA that CBC employees have to sign, which goes beyond normal NDA's. They also have to waive their right to bring any issue to a Human Rights Tribunal. Which is basically just a license for employee abuse. Now the "crying room" that one prior whistleblower testified about, makes sense. CBC apparently has a "crying room" where you can go when you can't take any more. -
The Climate Crisis is a global scam
Goddess replied to Reg Volk's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ironically, it was the Liberals that did this by invoking the Emergency Act illegally and violating our Charter Rights. Carney, advising Trudeau at the time, wrote an Op-Ed encouraging the Liberals to both invoke the Act and freeze bank accounts and to deal severely with protesters, calling them seditious and treasonous. Conservatives voted against it. -
I feel like there was a reason why Carney's focus for the last year was censorship bills. I think he has plans that Canadians don't know about yet. The censorship bills make it easy to silence and punish Canadians for criticizing anything he does from now on. Every country he's been to, has been right before or right after Brookfield execs have been there. And every country has scored a big deal for Brookfield, and not much more than just a promissory note for Canada. "Sure, we'll buy from you, if you can ever get your sh!t together."
-
Personally I think things are going to get very, very bad in Canada. And even then, most of you will still vote Liberal. You have to save face. I don't know how bad it has to get to wake you guys up. 25% living in food insecurity and going up. Homeless encampments springing up across Canada and going up. Free drugs for everyone. Spending has increased, handouts to other countries have increased while our own infrastructure crumbles. Healthcare - over 20,000 Canadians dying on wait lists every year. Educational system crumbling - teachers have said it's too much immigration, too many in the classes don't speak English and have behavioural problems, they can't focus on teaching. It didn't take a genius to know that Bill C-75 was going to increase crime, especially violent crime, rapes and pedophiles. Energy superpower? On what? Solar panels and wind turbines that don't perform in cloud and freezing temperatures? Our energy grid is going to become increasingly unreliable, like it did in Germany and the UK. There will be no oil & gas or LNG development. That was a total lie. We all know it now. Industry has been strangled under the Liberals and it will continue to be. Our forestry industry is nearly gone. None of this is Trump's fault. Reports from the UK, both from left & right sources are highly critical of his time as Banker. He spent way too much, printed too much money and they're still trying to dig themselves out of the mess he left, bankrupted them with green policies that only enriched himself. No, it's going to get very, very, very bad in Canada. And then Carney & all the friends he appointed while in power will move back to the US or London or wherever they want, loaded down with piles of cash. Including our pension funds. I don't believe he has any intentions of living in Canada. He's only here to get rich off his Net Zero dream. Canada is the last place for him to do that because it's failed everywhere else. All these MOU's and supposed trade deals? They mostly benefit Brookfield, if you really look into them. They're just pieces of paper for Canadians. so I guess to answer your question - I voted against all this. My ethics and morality still stand. If the Conservatives were doing all these things, they would lose my support completely. That's the difference between us. How bad does it have to get before YOU wise up?
-
I asked first.

CBC was shown to be nothing but a Liberal campaign propaganda arm, paid for with Canadian tax dollars. Liberal cheerleaders won't care. I predict that now that Liberal party knows it can do whatever it wants, it will dust off all those "How much money can we get by taxing home equity?" reports. They need money to keep giving themselves raises. Even if they pick a low percentage like 10%, on a $500,000 home, that's $50,000/year you will owe the gov't. That's going to break people. Nothing we can do about any of it now. Liberal supporters just handed over the reins to a globalist banker who didn't even live in Canada for at least a decade.
