Lori Idlout's son, Robin Idlout, was arrested in Dec. 2024 on charges of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. I wonder if this is the leverage they have over her. Man charged after incidents of internet child exploitation in Iqaluit There are no public updates on the case.

So you just don't believe in looking at political track records? Or you just want to avoid the Liberal track record? Very bias. Much partisanship. Your investments won't mean much when the Libs bankrupt us and discover you have something they can tax explosively.

Scuttlebutt is that another of the NDP is planning on leaving soon. So that leaves 5. The only way they can continue gorging at the taxpayer money trough is to join the Libs. Link: NDP's lone Quebec MP says he's considering jump to provincial politics | CBC News -
I don't. But I watch the committee meetings on Carney's ethics violations so I'm better informed.

I guess you're that guy that goes to an investment company and doesn't ask about their track record and then invests not only your own money, but your children's future incomes and your grandchildren's future incomes. Not too smart. Investment company: "We've lost on every investment we've made! For a whole decade!" You: "Sounds great! Here's all my money!"

Although pundits say the Terrebonne riding with likely go Bloc, now there's a good chance it could go Liberal. Carney announced he's giving $1 billion to Bombardier to make drones. They've never made a drone before. Why can we not have any industry in Canada that isn't fully funded by taxpayers?

He's also getting sued in the Netherlands right now.

TRUMPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!! (I bet a little leaked out there, didn't it?)
-
To each his own. I'll leave you to your pants sh!tting.
-
LOOK OVER THERE! IT'S TRUMP! Not done sh!tting your pants yet? Let us know when you guys are done so we can start working on our economy.
-
It's been a year....I don't see American troops at our border. Do you? Seems Trump is quite occupied with dealing with his own country. The only way I see the Americans doing anything to us, is if we continue to implode ourselves. Which we seem to be hell-bent on doing. Yes, yes! don't look at what the Liberals do! Focus. On Trump. You know there's a reason why they had to run on fear mongering about Trump and not their record, right?

The Climate Crisis is a global scam

It's not just about rights. Women need privacy from men at times. And the bathroom is often one of those times. I put an experience on here before, I'll repeat it but imagine this is your daughter: 13 year old girl out with her mother and best friend. Suddenly gets her period. Mother takes her into the bathroom and helps her get cleaned up, wrapping her in a sweater while they rinse out her clothing and dry it with the hand dryer. Girl is crying, Mom says, "It's okay, honey. We've all been there." Now imagine all that with a big, hairy man wearing a dress, looking on. And I don't care about the feelings of the man. What do you think the young girl is feeling? Do her feelings matter? -
Carney is getting a reputation for being quite nasty to female reporters. I think it's indicative of both his attitude towards women and his attitude towards us "little people" in general. How dare we question him? The reports of his performance in England said the same thing about him - nasty, short-tempered, hard to work with, a money grubber who spent lavishly. Both left & right said that about him. Saw him swat Melanie Joly away from him in the HoC, when she was trying to talk to him. You can only hide your true personality for so long. I don't see him being the "nice" person Liberals think he is.

Yup. That reason is the CBC and Carney told you all to poop your pants over Trump and ignore issues at home. I saw it. Carney: Trump wants our land! ** crowd roars in anger ** Carney: Trump wants our water! ** crowd roars louder, shaking fists ** Carney: Trump want to......(ominous voice).......OWN US! **crowd goes ballistic ** I thought, WOW. People are actually buying this. It was over-the-top fear mongering to me. I guess the English "Keep calm and carry on" didn't stick with him during his years there. 😬 I mean seriously, that was the English philosophy over getting bombed, and here we were pooping our pants over some tariffs, while ignoring the real issues at home. Had we not already been through a decade of Liberal anti-industry and giving all our money away to gender sensitive bean farmers in the Congo, tariffs would not have hit us so hard. The Liberals didn't prepare. They were more focused on photo-ops and making announcements about stuff they never intended to do. So now, we have all the same problems - housing, the economy, anti-industry, jobs, healthcare, mass immigration that we can't afford......and nobody working on them.......AND tariffs. AND......Every time Carney bad-mouthed Trump and ELBOWS UP against the Americans, I thought, "Yeesh, does he not know we have to negotiate CUSMA again soon?" His whole platform was "Let's poke the bear." I thought it was a bad strategy from the start.

There were other little things I noticed during the campaign, as well. I didn't like that Carney most often leaves his wife behind in his dust when he's walking. I think that's disrespectful. And although I know not all couples are affectionate in public, I didn't see him express any affection for her until after the election and he thanked her. On the other hand, I saw Poilievre treat his wife tenderly and with affection. He frequently gave her a piggy-back out to the bus after rallies because he knew her feet hurt and he also stayed long after each rally and met every single person who wanted to meet him. When he lost the election, she cried and he gathered her into his arms and held her tight for a long time, kissing the top of her head and whispering to her. I know it's a little thing, but I notice those kinds of things.

It sounded better to me than ELBOWS UP! I dance flamenco, so the chicken dance you all were doing seemed very......errrrr.....juvenile to me.

I think the last 6 people are going to flip. Maybe not Don Davies, but I'm sure he'll use the "We can do more good over here" excuse if he does. -
It was a pretty fast election. It had to be. Couldn't give the Canadian public time to actually find out what Carney was all about. I read his Values book during that time and also checked out the mood in England on his performance there. I actually only did that because he lied about single-handedly saving Canada during the 2008 crash. I knew that wasn't true when he said it. I listened to what he said at his rallies and in interviews. There wasn't much beyond "Trump! Trump! Everybody poop your pants!" When he said there was definitely NOT a drug crisis in Canada, he pretty much lost me. It told me, this guy hasn't been in Canada so long, he doesn't know what the hell is going on here.

Not for Liberal cheerleaders, that's for sure. For Conservative voters, it was. That's why we informed ourselves. ☺️
-
Sure you did, dummy. 🤣 Baloney. They were vocal about bringing in their (already written up) Accountability Act and you still voted against them. I saw multiple interviews on it. You do understand that they can't "do" anything about much of anything if they're not in power, right? Again, do you understand that he can't "do" anything unless he's in power? You seem to expect Conservatives to solve problems when they're NOT in power, but don't expect the Liberals to solve anything when they ARE in power.
-
Ya, seems they're worse. Carney only released his 3 days before, on April 19th. Poilievre was April 22, not the 20th. So I'm not sure it made much difference. As you pointed out, Liberals voters chose mainly without seeing a cost platform from either side, so...... I'm also not sure how many Canadians look at those, though. If anyone WAS interested in their platform and how it would be costed, you would have had to search that out. CBC has had a ban on Conservatives being on camera. I was interested in both, so I just watched what they both had to present. Carney was "Trump! Trump! Trump!" Poilievre had an actual plan for the issues that Canadians cared about - housing, jobs, the economy, defense, the drug crisis, reducing gov't spending. I also wanted to hold the Liberals accountable for the mess they've made the last 10 years. As you said, you did not. I couldn't vote NDP, which I've done in the past. They stupidly propped up the Liberals for too long and Canadians suffered as a result. I found it arrogant that Singh said he was only doing it for as long as there was a suspected Conservative majority, because he had decided for Canadians that we should not ever have a Conservative gov't. I was very offended by that statement.

It'll be a majority in April. And there's a good chance your guy will cross over to save his own political a$$. You think he gives a sh!t about YOU?
