  1. So........not going to answer the question, then. Okay.
  2. I wonder if you would be able to answer this question: I assume you're living in Canada or the US? Enjoying the freedoms, the fast food, the grocery stores, the slaughterhouse meat, the infrastructure of the country - buildings, roads, garbage pickup and mail delivery systems, maybe you go the movies once in a while or watch TV, etc.....the same things all the rest of us do. All this would be "supporting a nation that has stolen this freedom from hundreds of millions". So what are you DOING differently than the rest of us about not supporting Canada or the US? How do you show that you are not supporting a nation that steals freedom from everyone else in the world, but enjoys freedom? Does it just consist of coming here and repeating "nanothermite" on every post? Try, if you can, to focus on the question: You have judged all of North America as hypocrites and liars. How are you not a part of supporting the nation of Canada, who is your eyes should be wiped off the face of the earth and replaced with.....what?
  3. This was a good article. It interviews some closeted atheist Muslims about the struggles they experienced leaving the religion (I related to lots of their comments). One is wanting to leave but cannot at this time. http://robmcleod.net/2017/06/15/behind-the-veil/
  4. Yes, those were all factors in Fort Mac, too. Wind changed the course of the fire faster than crews could get a handle on things. I dont' want to put blame on anybody, I just feel it was a series of events, most of which were uncontrollable and when decisions have to made that quickly, I can't imagine how hard that is. I think Chief Darby did a fabulous job. For myself, I wish the evacuations had happened sooner. Our area went from voluntay to mandatory evacuation in about 10 mins. It was not enough time for anyone to get home and retrieve belongings or pets. Fire crews actually had to bring in dozers to mow down perfectly good houses to create fire-breaks as the fire was happening. This was heartbreaking for the crews and Chief Darby who had to make that decision. My ex texted me that day and told me about it....Later, I only saw that reported once in a news article. Edited to add: To their credit, fire crews did their best to quickly retrieve pictures and anyting else they could from the houses they had to bulldoze.
  5. Let's talk about your honesty levels, Hot Stuff. You start a topic on the Grenfell Towers fire in London. Out of the 32 posts by yourself on this thread, 31 of them are about 9/11, nanothermite, and WTC conspiracy theories. I'm being generous giving you your first post. Thank you for proving my point yesterday when I said you don't really give a rat's patootie about the fire in London or anyting else. If you want to reply to this post, I refuse to accept anything you say as honest unless you also post pictures of yourself, your daily schedule and your SIN #.
  6. This is the first time I've ever used that feature on a forum!
  7. Here's the thing, Hot Enough - I don't really think you give a rat's patootie about anything Greenpeace protests in the oilsands. I don't think you give a rat's patootie about the fire in Fort Mac. I don't think you give a rat's patootie about the fire in England. I think you just enjoy fighting and I think it gives you some kind of "thrill" coming to an internet discussion forum and tossing insults about and being contentious. Good luck to you, I hope you find a purpose and some happiness in life. Enjoy the rest of your day.
  8. I think someone's cranky...Mommy must be late bringing the microwave pizza rolls down to the basement.

    1. Omni

      Omni

Cranky because the pizza was late or not hot enough?

Haha!  I see what you did there....

  9. OK. Thank you.
  10. Greenpeace protests up there all the time, over everything. Cutting down trees for fire-breaks is just one of the things they protested. Not all their protests end up on the news - it's an every day occurance in the sands. I just know people who work for Syncrude chasing them off the sites. I'm not sure what your ish is......you dont' believe Greenpeace protests up there? You don't believe lack of fire-breaks was a factor? You don't like people discussing possible factors in events? I didn't mention nanothermite in my comment and you don't like that? You're just being an arse?
  11. I stated these were conversations people in Fort Mac were having, talking about why the fire went so fast. Do you have links for all of your verbal conversations and experiences? You'll have to show me how to do that. Must be some amazing technology.
  12. I think it could be a contributing factor. Many others up there have mentioned the same thing. The lack of proper fire-breaks was discussed amongst the emergency crews as a factor. As I said before, it's probably a combination of factors. Yes, I know. I lived there. Yes. I lost my house and my dog in the Fort Mac fire. My ex was Chief of one of the Emergency Departments before, during and after the fire.
  13. It's probably a combination of circumstances. I think it's good to look at these events and determine how better to handle future ones. The Fort Mac Fire analysis came out and said that a lack of communication contributed to the late evacuations. I know someone who worked with the Emergency Response teams up there for the entire time before and after the fires and he said that the day the fires hit the town, May 3, was the day jurisdiction for the fire changed from Provincial to Federal, so ther were no eyes on the ground at the time. The fire was already burning the Beacon Hill neighborhood before anyone even knew it. I imagine they will tighten up those loopholes now.
  14. I heard this on the news today, too. It was similar with the Fort Mac fire - for years, fire safety people were recommending fire-breaks around the town, but Greenpeace stepped in and made a stink about cutting down any trees, so very few fire-breaks. It'sa miracle that there were no deaths. This fire - equally horrific.
  15. When I lived down there and since I came back, I've often said to myself that the US seems to be heading for another revolution. The poor, the minorities,....everyone is restless and tired of watching greedy politicians and corporate CEOs hoarde money. It will likely happen here next, if it does down there.
  16. First you want pictures of Betsy and now you want my schedule? Your creepy factor just went up.
  17. Agree. I would only add that IMO, we should be extremely careful about legitimizing such beliefs and ensconcing them into our laws.
  18. I was thinking further about the claim that Western democracies have never made Islamic laws and the link to the article coming out of the UK - it sort of exposes the lie and propaganda that Sharia/Islam are pro-women's rights and benign.
  19. Doubt all you want. Our IT guys are messing around in the server room and we lost capabilities here. When my picture didn't post, I decided your'e not really worth my humour.
  20. So, in your mind, there is no way to discuss any topic without mentioning its connection to nanothermite and 9/11? Ummm....okay. Carry on, then. Have fun talking about nanothermite on the illegal document threads!
  21. I think hijabs were around long before 9/11. They are having a surge in popularity in the West because Muslims want to express their political and religious leanings. Why they choose a symbol that supports oppression and violence against women at this time in history and make it the ultimate symbol of Islam is beyond my understanding.
