"When circumstances permit" - I see you are qualifying your statement now. I'm not sure what the "circumstances" are that permit bombing, killing and terrorizing. You will have to fill me in on what the "circumstances" would be that makes terrorism acceptable. My feeling is that the "circumstances" of the world at the time of the Inquisition, etc were very different than they are today. If Christian groups were bombing, killing, terrorizing I'm pretty confident they would receive the same backlash that Islam is for doing the same (Yes, I understand that you feel Islam is not the main culprit in world-wide terrorism right now, that it is mainly Christians terrorizing the world and that there is nothing unusual going on with Islam - again, I disagree) I'm sorry but I don't see what "circumstances" you feel would permit extremist violence. But yes, if the US or Canadian government said it was okay to terrorize, then I believe there would be some from all religions that would do so.

I don't agree with everything the Dog posts, but I've never gotten the impression that he is saying all Muslims everywhere are terrorists. I think you both agree that not all Muslims are terrorists, the only difference is he believes there are more than the handful you assert. You both agree that the bombings, terrorism and killings are wrong. The only difference is he asserts it is mainly Muslims doing it right now and you assert it is mainly Christians. You both agree that some things need to change in the Muslim religion, the difference is he feels there is a problem with Islam right now and you assert there is no problem.

I did notice that - the woman in the OP pledged allegiance to ISIS and went to a store with a knife hidden in her burka. But here, the apologist response is, "She doesn't mean that!" They will never accept that maybe she does mean just that.....

We are not allowed to discuss what's going on in Islam unless we: 1. Acknowledge that there are also good Muslims (We all did this in one thread, but apparently it has to happen EVERY TIME YOU COMMENT) 2. What's going on in Islam is to ONLY BE MENTIONED IN PASSING. The focus must always be on the failures of Christianity and the West.

Getting back to the OP.... When all this terrorism started, people were concerned that the hijabs and burkas would conceal identities and weapons. They were told that was an unfounded fear and that they were racists for even thinking such a thing. This woman was hiding a knife under her mounds of cloth AND brought it into a store with the intent to harm others. My fear is that we will be forced to ban them in public, as these situations continue. And I don't really agree with banning them in public. Or we'll all have to be frisked before we enter any mall or store and there is no Muslim woman who would allow that or Muslim man who would allow his burka'ed wife to be frisked for weapons. I don't know what the solution is.

So....we're all just picking on Islam for reason at all, then. Okay.

This always seems to me the equivalent of children who excuse bad conduct by saying, "Well So-and-So did the same thing in 1478!!" I really just don't understand your reasoning that since something happened in Christianity many moons ago, it's okay for Islam to be doing worse than that right now.....?? Please explain how the Inquisition is bad, but somehow is a great excuse for what Islam is doing now. (Keeping in mind that a LOT has changed in the world since the Inquisition. Christianity did not have the benefit of access to knowledge and past history like Islam has today.)

It certainly reveals that the burka/niqab is not ALWAYS worn for modesty. Sometimes it is worn to express allegiance to ISIS and to hide weapons for attacking people. I thought my next sentence made it clear that I was talking about this woman - "Where was this woman's modesty?" I hope that clarification meets your standards of commenting here.

i don't really care if leftists are offended by coverage of this news item. I only commented on her age. Mostly because in another topic about a terrorist woman who screamed at doctors who were trying to help her after she was shot to "not touch me!" you argued that you would do the same thing if faced with armed police officers. I don't think you read that article either, because it clearly stated she was injured while being arrested as a terrorist and was refusing help from doctors because they were male.

When you refuse to read anything negative about Islam, you probably shouldn't comment on the article. She's 32. It says so right in the article.

I do find the slogan "Islam is peace" that's being shoved down our throats all the time to be both a farce and frankly, offensive. Anyone with a history book and a newspaper knows that Islam is not peace. The various groups of Muslims have never even had any peace amongst themselves, so trying to pass it off as a "peaceful" religion is an offensive farce. Are there peaceful Muslims? I'm sure there must be, but that is certainly not the mainstream focus of the religion.

And why hasn't he been turned in by any mosques/congregations/whatever ?
