To be consistent, the New Zealander's PM's decision to delay the election a month because of a relative handful of COVID-19 cases is 100% wrong. Not that I'm saying she's fascist, but Public Safety can certainly be used as an excuse for Fascist policies.

No reason to delay. Develop systems that enable it to work. We have to develop those systems anyway.

Different system to U.s. with fixed election dates so no comparison. The commonwealth countries have 4-5 year cycles, and you can call the election before the final deadline, then postpone it if you still have time before reaching the final deadline. That’s basically what’s happening in NZ. It’s the same idea in Canada.
