  1. Not good news when you consider how cold it is here in winter.
  2. Your poll is about what's on people's wish-lists, not the objective reality of the current standard of living. People still think of Canada the way it was ten years ago, but a lot has changed: Racial division is rampant here now. Hate rallies aren't uncommon we no longer have anything resembling media integrity our country is teetering on the verge of fascism: during covid we were August 1938 Germany violent crime is soaring (up 41% since 2014) Canada didn't suck in 2014
  3. robo: Is Trump "destroying American democracy" by not giving in to the Russian collusion witch hunt, and by uncovering Dem scandals?
  4. And TBH, this isn't compared to a country that had net-zero illegal immigration in 2024. The US went from +2,500,000/yr to -2,500,000/yr (at the pace he's on, 2.5M/yr is realistic. It's actually a swing of -5Million/year compared to last year. And while this actual push to combat illegal entries is on, it is discouraging entries at the border. Trump's opposition: "WHERE IS OUR DIRT CHEAP LABOUR, AND THE TENANTS FOR OUR SLUMS!!!!! IF WE CAN'T HAVE ILLEGALS WE WILL MOVE OUR BUSINESSES TO COUNTRIES WHERE SLAVERY IS LEGAL!"
  5. Wow. That's a massive change. Contrary to what Carney is doing, Trump is making changes in his country which have a positive impact on the American working classes.
  6. Canada and the US were quite similar at the beginning of Trump's term, but the US turned sharply upwards under Trump while Canada is doing even worse under Carney than Trudeau. In fairness to Carney, part of Canada's downfall is still Trudeau's fault, but his weakness and stupidity still play a huge role. This is, unless Carney's actually working against Canadians right now, to help out his own bottom line, and that of his uber-wealthy friends, who are poised to snatch up real estate for cheap as Canadians suffer. If Carney is actually working against us then he's doing a great job.
  7. CNN broke him. There are Twitter bots from 2020 with more humanity in them than robo has left.
  8. I had a cousin who got addicted to drugs here and died at around 23 yrs old. That was back in about 1990. I've never been a "soft on drug crime" guy. Even when I was a kid I thought it was a joke that adults would say "________ is a Hell's Angel, but he's a good guy." Someone should start a new slogan, like "Just say "NO" to drugs."
  9. This is a new level of drug enforcement that we have never seen before, and the level of enforcement against any crime actually does have an effect on it. We saw it in DC, we even saw it in terrorist orgs, where Al Qaeda pretended to not even exist anymore, and it will be reflected in the availability of drugs in the US. Criminals hate Trump, bigtime. If criminals and terrorists were the only ones who could participate in elections then Kamala would have received 100% of the vote.
  10. If the prices increase because of lost shipments, dead and jailed cartel members, the unwillingness of people to be mules, high-ranking members opting to lay low for a while while the heat is cranked to EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS, etc, that will make it harder to get a new generation of users addicted. If you're being honest now, Spanky, you're admitting that: Trump is actually going all-in against Fentanyl and other narcotics if nothing else, he is causing the prices to increase Would it kill you to acknowledge that there is absolutely no doubt that Trump is doing everything he can to harm cartels and prevent the flow of dangerous, life-ending narcotics? Isn't it nice to know that the US isn't pulling any punches? I really don't think that you can say the same for Biden, and I know that cartel members agree with me. They feel it when they go to jump in a boat. We can agree to disagree about whether or not the war on drugs is an actual war, but I will never cry for the life of a drug dealer. If Trump wants to declare war on Mexico just to make the drone strikes legal, so be it.
  11. Palestine just called. They're suing democrats for copyright infringement.
  12. Not to mention that he openly floated the idea of just blatantly stacking the SC by adding 4 new SCJ's. That's basically saying: "Should we just put the final nail in the coffin of democracy?"
  13. I'm hereby putting forth the term "WashPoism" out as consideration for a new word meaning: "A factually truthful statement or trivial inaccuracy which is immediately branded "A HUGE LIE!!!!!!!" by a charter news outlet, and is thereby forever falsely considered to be a monumental and consequential lie by members of that organization's cultist horde." Examples: "Twumpy sed it dint wain duwing his 17-minute inoggowashin speech, but hi-def camewas showed that for at least 15 seckinds there wuz sum lite dwizzo. OMG HOW CAN HE BE AR WEEDOR? DUZ THIS MEEN WE AR OLL EVUL?" "Twumpy sed he dint cowude wif Wusha, but how kood he possably no if he tokked to Wushinz abowt kowuding? Thu FBI is stiw wying at the FISA cort abowt him now, and they mite still be abow to git a judj to awwest him and fro him in jaow." Translated to conservative: "Twump said that it didn't rain during his 17-minute inauguration speech, but hi-def cameras showed that for at least 15 seconds there was some light drizzle. OMG HOW CAN SUCH AN AUDACIOUS LIAR BE OUR LEADER? DOES THIS MEAN THAT WE ARE ALL EVIL?" "Twump said that he didn't collude with Russia, but how could he possibly know if he talked to Russians about colluding? The FBI is still at the FISA court presenting fabricated evidence, lying, and they're still out trying to coerce false testimony from people convicted of crimes that are completely unrelated to collusion, so they might still be able to get a false conviction, in which case, it actually happened."
  14. Can one of the cultists here please explain how both of these things can be true? Wait, I know the answer: "I don wotch CNN, but Fox Noos tells lise." See? I got your back, robo. You don't even have to bother answering that now. But I do have a quick question for you @robosmith: Does this new non-lie lie by Trump still count as "a lie", just because CNN said it was lie? (of course it does) And is it a front-page lie, that cracks the top 3 in the elevator speech, or is it just one of the 300 billion run-if-the-mill non-lies that were counted as lies by serial liars like WashPo, like for example "every time he said that he didn't collude with Russia that counts as a lie"? I'm hereby putting forth the term "WashPoism" out as consideration for a new word meaning: "A factually truthful statement or trivial inaccuracy which is immediately branded "A HUGE LIE!!!!!!!" by a charter news outlet, and is thereby forever falsely considered to be a monumental and consequential lie by members of that organization's cult."
  15. I'll keep that in mind if I ever get into the "charter jet" tax bracket lol.
  16. If you and your wife (Im being very generous here) make $200,000 a year and someone steals $200 from you, that's .1%. Not impactful. Then again, when you make $200K, you pay $60,000 taxes. Someone gets 5 coffees a month at Starbucks. You pay 45k to your mtg. You make car payments. You buy wine, whiskey, weed and beer. You pay for your kids' extracurricular activities. Try to go on a trip or two. Eat at a few restaurants. Buy clothes. Get haircuts. Someone went to the dentist. You're gonna fix your fence this year, next year you're gonna put on a roof. You gotta buy a set of tires. You have a $5k property tax bill. You have to pay the insurance on two cars. You have monthly life insurance. Home insurance. (Go over your budget again, Michael. You spend way too much money) If someone steals $200 from your wallet tomorrow, is that "not impactful"? You probably won't notice it? I can promise you that a lot of Canadians who make $200,000 a year could really use an extra $200 bucks today. There are a lot of Canadians in that tax bracket who will be really upset if they find out that someone in the family has an app on their phone that cost $15/mo that they never used all year. There are a lot of Americans who don't have coverage, who would love to be one of 50,000 people who managed to sneak in one hospital visit. Everything matters, Michael.
  17. That makes sense from your POV, because you think like a small person, and only see the view from the end of your own nose. You see the US gov't like an endless source of money, and just imagine unlimited hospital capacity for everyone who wants it, but that's not reality. Drs and hospitals routinely make decisions on how much treatment they can offer AMERICANS based on the hospital's own limited resources, instead of need. There are lots of times when people need extended care but can't stay in the hospital because there aren't enough beds available. In extreme cases, they even have to decide who to offer treatment to based on their chances of saving them, and letting people go who could have been saved if there was more time and money. Now add in the cost of treating tens of thousands of people who aren't even American, and they only have fake ID's, so you can't even say what country to send the bill to... If you treat 50,000 foreigners a year and get little or no money back from that, do you think it impacts the quality of treatment that Americans can get? No? Of course you don't.
  18. A ridiculous bill, but still a bill. I had a friend who worked for a charter airline called Sunwing, and the BC gov't used to hire their private jets to fly down to the US with a Dr and nurse onboard to bring patients back here, just to save money. You have to wonder how much they're being overcharged if it's cheaper to treat a person here even after you add the cost of flying a Dr and a nurse on a round-trip charter flight to Florida. How much money do you think it costs to rent a private plane use it to fly a Dr and a nurse to Fla and back?
  19. That was Russian collusion, herbie. It was a 4-yr witch-hunt that relied on leaked falsehoods for a sense of legitimacy, and it resulted in the gathering of zero evidence. The FBI lied constantly to the judges and the general public, they tried to coerce false testimony from people who they convicted on unrelated charges, and they even fabricated evidence and presented it to the FISA court. Trump has never done anything remotely close to that, herbie. The J6 select committee was like that, herbie. They had ABC edit video to make it appear more riotous than it was. They kept people in jail for years without trial, for doing basically nothing. Biden floated the idea of just openly stacking the Supreme Court. For what purpose? Was it because the judges currently there couldn't get through all the necessary cases quickly enough? Nope. just to stack it politically. 100%. Wasn't it Obama who used a drone strike to extrajudicially kill an American? I'm pretty sure it was. Whom? False. He's no worse than Biden or Obama, and he's only doing things that he was elected to do. Trudeau exhibited far more fascist tendencies than Trump, and you laughed it all off.
  20. Ouch. Introspection isn't kind to lefties. What did he do to upset you so, robo? Did he cancel a shipment of men's combat panties?
  21. "😭 Twumpy kiwwing dwug dewers 😭". Funny these guys didn't mind so much when Biden drone-striked a bunch of kids in Kabul.
  22. You're such a lying idjit it's disgusting. 1) At no point did I say that NATO was about to attack Russia, stupid 2) I made a very precise and correct statement about bioweapons in Ukraine and provided you ample proof of it. The US and Ukraine were jointly working on cures for bioweapons in Ukraine, and the bioweapons had still not been destroyed at the time of the Russian invasion. The fact that your "news sources" didn't cover that doesn't mean that you weren't provided with that information. Wrong again, stupid. I'd love an end to the war there, but that doesn't mean "a brief pause while Hamas re-stocks their missiles and continues tunnelling under Israel". Only left4rds are dumb enough to believe that Israel can just pull out of Gaza right now and then prepare for another round of this exact same BS 7 years from now. I personally don't give a shit about the Ukraine war anymore, but I am not in favour of Trump extending his support for Ukraine. I think that just drags it out even longer.
  23. What do you mean by "progress"? Are you saying that residential schools weren't created solely for the purpose of abusing all first-nations children? Careful, that kind of talk can get you cancelled and excommunicated by the left4rd orthodoxy. The official narrative is "It was racist to bring them out of the stone age."
  24. Typical robo: just blaze right past all the evidence of the Dems' weaponization of the FBI, in a blatant assault on the most basic and fundamental democratic principles of all, and go right to lies and slander. Do you care to talk about how Dems and the FBI pretended for years that they didn't have any agents or other human assets inserted into the J6 crowd, and now we know that there were 300 of them? Remember how it was just "a conservative conspiracy theory" that the FBI had assets inserted into that crowd? Do you want to apologize now? Robo, the worst and most dangerous cultists are the ones that don't know they're in one (like you). You've blindly followed ridiculous narratives that turned out to be false so many times that it is impossible that your "sources" are anything but "handlers".
