You have nothing t worry about, Chrissy. Only leftists abuse power to that extent here in NA. -
Carney and Ford bromance on the rocks over Trump, autos
WestCanMan replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm not doubting that it's important to keep high-paying manufacturing jobs here, but our class-clowns don't seem capable of winning that battle. Judging by the way they treat our energy sector, it's surprising that they're even trying. -

If EVs are "saving the world", then what sense does it make to have tariffs on them in the first place? It's kind of like a "kill the planet" or an "I don't trust the science" tax lol. Dropping tariffs on Amaerica's competitors doesn't sound like a bad idea right now anyways. If the US gov't is demanding that they get to produce all of the vehicles made in North America, then I am 100% in favour of buying from anywhere else, and that includes Russia, China, and even from Satan's Motor Vehicle Company, if he starts one up. -

Ford can go straight to hell and I will wave pom-poms. Nothing that ever happens to that guy will be considered "too bad" in my books. I will vote Green if he becomes the leader of the federal conservatives. -

There was a search function, but it's gone now. Has been for close to a year That's good for leftists. Nothing that you ever posted aged well. -
Where did she go?
WestCanMan replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
She wanted to say "Death to America and death to all the Jews" but it didn't poll well in the focus groups. You're so effing ret4rded that you think none of the 2,000 were terrorists. -

That will only work for so long lol. Just wait until someone paints their fence semi-gloss baby blue. "There goes the neighbourhood". -

Ten again, you can't put a price on losing troops unnecessarily, or buying a plane for half the price which lacks important capabilities, or gets shot down. -

Not really true. There are properties all over BC that have Statutory Building Schemes registered on their title, which can dictate what types of things you can park in your driveway, what types of fences you can put up, what types of building/roofing materials you can use, whether or not you can put certain types of buildings or additions on your property, etc. Even the colour of your house can be restricted. Municipal bylaws also dictate some of those things, and even where no bylaw expressly prohibits something, if you apply for a building permit that falls well within the lot's zoning guidelines, the municipality can nix your plans if they don't mesh with the neighbourhood's general "form and character". You also need permission from your municipality here to cut down trees of various sizes, and in most cases it can't even be granted unless an arborist determines that the trees are dying and therefor pose some type of imminent falling hazard. Even when tree roots are causing damage on your property, like busting sidewalks and driveways, tipping fences, etc, you can't usually get them removed. Owning property in Canada is not the wild west that you seem to think it is. -

You're underestimating the importance of getting actual criminals like Letitia out of the justice system. -

Who is defending Carney? Is there someone else that's trying to destroy our economy that I'm unaware of? -

Yeah, if there are less than 34 embarrassingly thin indictments it's just pure laziness. But tell us, Hodad, isn't a bit weird that a person who actually committed bank fraud charged another person with bank fraud, but thinks that their own bank fraud was ok? Which is it, Hodad? Should perpetrators of bank fraud be indicted or not? You were all for it before. -
MH, some people are shit people. Some cultures groom their children to hateful and murderous. That's a fact of life that your kindergarten education failed to warn you about. Try to tell me there's an area in Canada where you could parade the body of a raped and murdered woman around, and you could find crowds of children lining up to spit on them, while adults were standing around encouraging that behaviour... No doubt we have a few muslims here that would do that, but not even the darkest blue-hair liberals here would spit on the bodies of raped and murdered women.

Just FYI https://www.google.com/maps/place/Strait+of+Juan+de+Fuca/@48.2995919,-124.3665057,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x548f1c17aa46c8b7:0xb14a20223440b0c8!8m2!3d48.2579224!4d-123.3605481!16zL20vMGQ0YjM?authuser=0&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MTAwOC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D They come around from the north to get right there. Alaska is north of there. So, to get to that point, tankers travel south from Alaska. Any oil spilled between Alaska and the Strait of Juan de Fuca will be borne eastwards to the BC coast.

Every ounce of the oil being transported from Alaska to the contiguous states will end up on BC shores if there is a spill along that route. We import hundreds of millions of barrels a year from shithole countries where women are treated worse than cattle. But we can't ship across northern BC and Alberta because of global warming and Chief Chuckleberry, who needs a new fishin' boat.
