The Russia/USA Game

You really have a hate on for Russia don't ya? You sound like most people's opinion of Trump, they were wrong as well... Anyway, let's see what tomorrow brings, apparently the US is attacking Syria right now... -

Really? They can't forecast weather a day in advance but they know exactly how much our heat output is contributing to global warming... If greenhouse gases are so influential why are they not restricting heat from the sun and causing global cooling? Or is it regional like our winter extending into spring farther than most can remember? People don't realize the atmosphere is fluid, there are far more variables than we are able to monitor and calculate at this time. Nobody is taking climate change seriously, everybody thinks globalization (definition; shipping huge amounts amounts of goods literally around in circles) and consumerism (definition; extracting vast amounts of raw materials from above and below the earth's surface to be converted to items purely for human entertainment) is going to save us and this planet. Our leaders claim "climate leadership" in the same sentence they state we need to produce more petroleum for export or increase shipping of materials around the world, it really is impossible to get more hypocritical and I think future generations are going to see this as a one of the biggest hoaxes in history. Hey, it might be but it is said that myths or stories from the past are usually based on events that actually happened. Anyway as I age I can remember climate events (and the claims of storms of the century etc.) from the seventies that were just as dramatic as they are today. I can remember in the mid seventies one hurricane after the other from August to November, more actual named hurricanes than the ten years after hurricane Katrina. To be honest I think global warming is actually making the weather calmer. Remember, in the past the human population was far more sparse, communication was slow and unreliable, monitoring from outer space didn't exist and as a result many weather events were never recorded or missed populated areas all together. -
The Russia/USA Game

Why not? The great impenetrable US military lost how many guns to Mexico last year? It's possible, maybe that's why they didn't die, it was past its due date. There isn't a conceivable reason Russia would use it... Yea, like China, North Korea, Iraq, Siria etc.? So why don't we just wait for them to knock him off then? Why risk lives unnecessarily? The west is not standing up to them, they are provoking them. Accusing them of doing something without valid proof brings us down to their level. That's actually funny, there is far more hype in the west portraying Russia and the East as evil than the other way around. Hollywood makes billions off this. Even poor old Germany can't shake it completely. -

Actually the "fact" is it was a Soviet product, when the USSR broke up many weapons found their way to the black market, why not this stuff? Obviously England got their hands on it or how could they "prove" it was of Russian origin? Also if they have it what's to say they can't duplicate it? What proves it's Russian? The serial number on the vial? http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/novichok-nerve-agent-russia-spy-1.4573210 Note the words "highly likely", it was highly likely I sped on the way home tonight, doesn't mean I did... Your link proves my point, there's a good chance it's a Russian (or Soviet) product but they have no idea who actually did it. There are Westerners being killed by American weapons all the time, let me guess, this is on orders of the president? You have proof of this? Who's he murdered? What wars? You were there when he ordered the assassinations and the wars? Or are you relying on "highly likely" hearsay? So the best plan is to poke him until he retaliates? If Putin is as evil as you claim then accusing him of this act is the dumbest thing you can do. You really are telling me the west really is being run by incompetent idiots. It's interesting the masses always need an enemy, maybe it's required to keep them from going to war with each other? Keep them distracted and when the distraction starts to wane start another "crisis", setting up another cold war should keep us busy for awhile, maybe it's time to do nuclear attack drills again, keep it fresh. -

Yea, "independant" is unbiased? Or what you want to hear? Let me guess, Facebook news is considered "independent"... Most of MSM including CBC in the west is run by the Russian dictatorship? This circumstantial evidence could start a war, personally I'd prefer concrete evidence. Circumstantial evidence is the reason for so many false convictions, mistrials and criminals walking free, I doubt courts without corruption in Russia are any worse than ours. -

Instead of shouting "THE RUSSIANS DID IT!" and doing their damnedest to start world war three maybe cooler heads would say these people were poisoned by what appears to be a Russian nerve agent. Maybe share evidence with Russian investigators and get to the bottom of it. Maybe they are trying Trump's approach, threaten them until they back down? It seems to be working with Kim Jong-un... -

I'm looking at what we are being fed for news, if this were taken to court it would be thrown out faster than you can shout "CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE!". The English claim it was a Russian nerve agent and even though nobody else can get it they somehow have proof? I wonder how many other people have been killed as a result of this incident, if Putin is as bad as some here think he is he must be knocking them off by the dozen. -

Well the whole show is one big cluster**** as far as I can see. A retired double agent and his daughter were poisoned by somebody. England and company accuse Russia with virtually no evidence. Russia figures England did it but England won't allow Russia to participate in investigation or at least share evidence so Russia can at least check it themselves. Everybody is kicking Russian diplomats out and Russia is retaliating, Trump can't makeup his mind if Russia is friend or foe, one minute he wants to be friends and the next he's threatening Russia. Putin claims Russia can take out virtually any enemy and they cannot stop his weapons but nobody seems to care. Fun times -

Everybody calls him a Russian spy... Nope, clean it up, figure out what actually happened before making it an international incident... If Putin was looking for a whole lot of drama he got exactly what he wanted. The west now looks like a bunch of melodramatic, incompetent idiots. I have no idea and neither do you I assume. Hey, it's entirely possible. I bet the Russian population is as good or bad as any other. As far as Putin and company, they may have ligitimate reasons for their actions, then again, maybe not... Are they worse than the US? -

Because we are afraid of independence and actually doing things for ourselves? Sucking hind teat of the great American cow appears to be our destiny. -

I don't get that, "Russian" spy, doesn't mean he was a Russian spying on the English? Plus rumor has it he was a double agent so technically they were doing everyone a favor. So they played right into his hands by overdramatizing the incedent, makes sense I bet you'd be surprised how easy it is to get this stuff, if there's a potential for profit... How do you think they got the sample for proof it was Russian? I doubt Putin just gave it to them. -

Personally I'd dump all human likenesses from the currency, use native wildlife and scenery, that's the real Canada. I'd do the same with naming public structures and such as well. -

If he was a Russian agent why is the west so worked up? It seems to me they were doing us a favor... It appears he's retired so what was the point? And nobody has a clue if Russia was even behind this in the first place. -

Was it Russia or Canada?
Thinkinoutsidethebox replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think this should puts it in perspective... "Facebook makes their money by exploiting and selling intimate details about the private lives of millions, far beyond the scant details you voluntarily post. They are not victims, they are accomplices…Businesses that make money by collecting and selling detailed records of private lives were once plainly described as “surveillance companies.” Their rebranding as “social media” is the most successful deception since the Department of War became the Department of Defense.” -

I'm constantly being told Canada has no talent, we have to import it. Why would it be any different for our leadership? Hell, even Jr might be half Cuban... -
Personally I don't really see evidence of god, there are moments that seem outright heavenly and it makes me wonder but it is far outweighed by the bad that happens in our world every day. I think it is possible for complex life to form and evolve over billions of years but as far as the development of the universe itself the big bang makes no sense to me. That being said there are things happening every day that push human existence to the edge of annihilation (especially the last seventy years) but here we are. That is very good reason to believe someone or something is watching over us. I read an article the other day that pointed out the chances against us developing to the stage we are today are simply astronomical, there are are so many planet ending and life eliminating events that earth has dodged and the chances of the planet containing just the right materials and energy to be able to support life is so miniscule that is entirely possible we are the only living organisms in existence. We really have no clue, we have evidence of seemingly impossible human accomplishments from the past, maybe we were seeded here many thousands of years ago and the true "gods" are those that placed us here, maybe they are watching over us right now? I wonder where some of the brilliant minds got/get their insites? Allot is just theoretical but much has been proven and their insite is being used in the technology we use today. We will never know how it all began and the future will always be a mystery
