Mr. Trudeau, when will you stop demonizing visible minority groups?

Likely the Metis and Indigenous peoples in Canada remember the last time they had to have a "pass" to go anywhere.  Could be why they are resisting this one now.

Maybe the labels were chosen to be politically correct. It just means there is a higher percentage of people from these groups in the non-vaccinated group.

Mr. Trudeau referred to these people as follows:

“We all know people who are deciding whether or not they are willing to get vaccinated, and we will do our very best to try to convince them. However, there is still a part of the population that is fiercely against it.

“They don’t believe in science/progress and are very often misogynistic and racist. It’s a very small group of people, but that doesn’t shy away from the fact that they take up some space.

      “Do we tolerate these people?

  3. The government did a crap job in funding and managing hospitals, and ruined Canada's health care system. The system was already on its knees before Covid. Now they hold our noses to it. No, they're not going to fix health care. You stay home.

There has been a considerable loss of skills in technical services and emergency support thanks to Covid. Or rather, thanks to how we HANDLE covid. A lot of senior workers have retired early. Not just in nursing, but in electrical and trades. We also hear about supply problems for spare parts. Production problems, stuff is simply not being made. For example I order parts for work and am told the deliver is 1.5 years. Estimated, not guaranteed. If those parts are mission-critical, we are done.

Imagine if we had an ice storm now like in Montreal in '98. It took them weeks to get power back on in the middle of winter. Hard to solve problems if you can't GET a transformer, let alone find someone qualified to do the work.

That's why. Ask not for whom the bell tolls, Billy.

"More than 4,000 Canadians are believed to have perished due to medical procedures that were delayed or cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic , according to a new analysis by the Canadian Medical Association . And that’s not the only spike in peripheral deaths caused by pandemic measures. Canada’s already-high rate of overdose deaths have been driven to historic highs ever since the first onset of lockdowns."

I would agree with you Boges, but this is not our first rodeo with communicable disease, not is it the first time we have found out our health care system is ill prepared for a mass event, i hope someone reads all those after action reports and learns , something...anything, everyone already knows we need major investments into our health care system, starting with long term care, next being ICU beds...Of course we could wait until the next Wuhan virus comes out of china, i got 20 bucks that after this is over we will all go back to normal until the next event, and we will invent the wheel all over again...

The number above is probably an underestimate, and is still increasing. Most of these deaths occurred after a while, not right at the beginning of the shutdown.

No one counted those who died alone and in misery. Those who are so upset by corona, they’re losing their minds, and their will to live.

That is why Ive said here, politicizing covid is a most reprehensible act that should be condemned.

  23. Article states that the Canadian military is using propaganda and information warfare techniques to brainwash Canadians about Covid, the election, and support for the military.

Military leaders saw pandemic as unique opportunity to test propaganda on Canadians, report says

The plan devised by the Canadian Joint Operations Command, also known as CJOC, relied on propaganda techniques similar to those employed during the Afghanistan war. The campaign called for “shaping” and “exploiting” information. CJOC claimed the information operations scheme was needed to head off civil disobedience by Canadians during the coronavirus pandemic and to bolster government messages about the pandemic.

    Here's another good part-

The Canadian Forces had to launch an investigation after a September 2020 incident when military information operations staff forged a letter from the Nova Scotia government warning about wolves on the loose in a particular region of the province. The initiative to change military public affairs strategy was abruptly shut down in November after this newspaper revealed details about the plan.
