  1. A lot of people detest them, and not because they have a vagina.
  2. That's all well and good, but not if Trump doesn't like her.
  3. That federal election couldn't come any sooner, I tell ya.
  4. Sorry, but without knowing the particulars, or what the actual question was, I cannot favour or dispute any poll.
  5. I say you're both wrong. I'll wager much of the province approves. Most non-politicos don't even get what the fuss is all about with the not withstanding clause, but they see he got want he wanted pushed through. Some conservatives feel that the judge's decision was unreasonable, and possibly phoney judgement imposed for 100% political reasons. It was an insult to the concept of political impartiality in the courts. Hence, Ford is a hero.
  6. Toronto City Hall being "purged", oh my. I bet all councillors reported early for work this morning.

  7. How many had no opinion? Irrelevant in any case. Or how did you put that again, "just because the majority of people want something, does that mean they get it?" The issue is too complex, too wide, to be put to a referendum. Ergo, this is fake news. Finally the only poll that matters is the one that put a man in power, who had no mandate. Doug Ford said he would do nothing, and so he owes us nothing.
  8. Yes indeed, you re hoping. And that is what everybody already knew. Well, those who are sensible anyway. The initial Judge's decision was so ridiculous, anyone could see what it was all about. They knew they couldn't stop Ford but tried to delay him with some dirty old moves, knowing full well it wouldn't stand up to the appeal. But by then it would be too late for this election. Or so they hoped... they never reckoned on Ford using the NWC the way he did. That forces them to implement the change right away, not wait for the appeal. No delay. If the appeal wins, even better. Either way, it gets done. Hmm, I'll give Ford some credit for the way he handled this one. But is he really that smart? We shall see.
  9. Requests for medical marijuana licences are way down. People are so much healthier these days!

Not too good at the ole sarcasm eh?

  10. It is said that politics makes strange bedfellows. Who knows, perhaps one day even you and I could be... bedfellows?
  11. What I meant is, I thought you took offense to the misogynistic and homophobic beliefs of a religion. And yet, there are some religious, or at least churches, that are not homophobic. That is part of their interpretation of the religion. Some even think Jesus and the apostles were gay. Most of the questions you asked in the opening are full of metaphor. So you cannot really answer them, without using a metaphor. That's why, you have no idea what you meant.
  12. No, but I believe them's gay, if that helps. Just sayin.
  13. Yes, we know. Many others disagree with that sentiment, and some of them are not even deplorable.
  14. Hearing your bitter whining sarcasm, is like drinking a sweet caramel macciato, salted with liberal tears...
  15. I'll bet that Doug has a life-size cardboard cutout of Rob installed in his office at Queen's Park... Premier Doug Ford and Mayor Rob Ford
  16. Unelected judges are supposed to be just that, judges. Non partisan. Their purpose is to keep overly ambitious politicians in check through unbiased consideration, giving clear, logical reasons for their decisions. Certainly that is not the case and the appeal process, if carried out would prove this true. Of course, that would take time to complete. So the whole thing was purposely to delay Ford's initiative, and allow the election to go through as planned. I wonder who set this up, and who allowed that judge to preside? Perhaps there should be an investigation...
  17. Have you tried the United church?
  18. Immigrant song by Led Zep. Fitting somehow?
  19. I get the Fox news Sunday morning show on TV. Chris Wallace seems fine.
  20. Exactly. More trade is more grease for the machinery.
  21. My cat loved me, and I sure loved him. But to everyone else, he was a son of a bitch. Oh well, what can you do? I just call it "duality".

Thanks all. I was talking about cultural liberals. I pity them poor fools. They sure do like to get worked up about everything!

Didn't realize how much of a shrew and nasty person Horwath is until recently.

  25. Agreed. I have confidence that our system of controls are robust enough to survive Doug Ford. I'm also pleased that there's an option to overturn politically biased decisions made by activist judges.
