  1. Ahh the drama is so much fun to watch.

  2. It couldn't have been Trump who did that. Are you sure he did? No way Trump could do that.
  3. I try to keep my sense of morality or expectations of decorum out of it. Here’s the way I look at this. 1) All politics is dirty. 2) Those things you listed are offensive. Yes it’s poor behaviour by a president. For this he should have been censored right away. 3) Is what he’s done impeachable. I don’t know.
  4. Too much media attention on politics. The political class and their media outlets need to be hemmed in, put under strict constraints. They should be punished when they overstep their bounds, when they lie, when their mouths run off.

There needs to be a government media ombudsman who has the power to apply legal action, in the form of heavy fines, when it is determined that any government official working in their capacity used the media to broadcast inflammatory statements, or statements crafted to send out a fake message. The citizens need to put their feet to the fire.

      You're a parody of a fascist now?

  5. Please, you’re being far too reasonable now. Get him out of here
  6. Nonsense. Trump has every right to be fully enraged. This sad media spectacle has gone on for too long, and enough is enough. Now it's time to go after you people...
  7. What a bitch.
  8. The one guy was grabbed up just days after the arrest of Meng. There's some irony there. The Chinese recently announced that the men are going to trial to face trial and prosecution. Case of detained Canadians Kovrig and Spavor sent for ‘review and prosecution,’ China says The Chinese embassy in Ottawa marked the men’s year in detention with a sternly-worded statement that defended their incarceration and reiterated demands that Canada release Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou. and yet the Chinese insist that these detentions are not linked. Clearly that is utter BS. Perhaps they won't be executed in the current situation, but execution is a possible punishment for the charges they face. Chinese have essentially stated their fate depends on what happens to Meng Wazoo.
  9. I'm for banning Chinese tech from the 5G network. We already see the problem with alleged spyware in Huawei phones. Plus the US government has blocked the use of Chinese 5G network technology in the United States, and strongly recommends Canada/ others do likewise. If we buy their tech and the US has black-balled it, where do we stand in terms of trust? But the complicating factor is still what I wrote above. Siding with the USA on this is akin to declaring a war of sorts. Then those Canadians will be dead.
  10. China holds Canadians hostage as a political lever against us. Make any political moves against China, and they are dead for sure. That makes retaliation unpopular for the Canadian political class. For example if we make a move against them with the 5G, they will use these men as pawns.
  11. You want to win over Women? A nice smile and a good looking haircut. A deep steady tone of voice. Presto...
  12. Patriarchal society versus Matriarchy. It really started years ago in the UK. Men have been feminized by the left.
  13. Putin is not going to solve ours. I suspect he IS ours. And I heard he is a hockey player as well. Tell you what, ain't no Russian hockey players/ coaches going to get me-tooed over there. They don't have time for that BS.
  14. Vlad Putin has their number. He rides horses without wearing a shirt, and stuff. Given the Millennial's love for leftism, Putin is one NY Times op-ed away from becoming their messiah.
  15. It’s disappointing but not surprising. If the problem was solvable it would have been done already. What we see is a prop for the Chinese. All the rocket and nuclear tech.
  16. It's a false dichotomy. Girls do not need to be coddled like that. Actual fact young women want to have a good time and enjoy sex, and are not looking for serious relationships until later. So man up, you guys
  17. Or you can stop wasting time and break out the drinks.
  18. And the part about China, the tariffs, upsetting the global economic order, that is also someone else's doing? Not the POTUS?
  19. Well we can look at what happened in Oshawa as a sign. Companies are closing down in Canada. Meanwhile as Argus points out, US unemployment is at the lowest ever in history. The money is certainly going south these days, and most likely so are the jobs. Apparently it's going to be a Merry Christmas in USA this year. Not so much for Canada...
  20. Amazing how all that happens at the same time. A bit of a dichotomy, don't you think? The asshat has you looking. That's what he does to people, and is your problem. Get over the asshattery and look again, without using your moral guide. If the results are consistent, chances are it's not by accident. What we see from the US administration is a facade, a face. Trump is the face. Don't look in his eyes...
  21. Trump: It's going to be a Merry Christmas in USA this year.  $$$$$

Must be nice to have that problem. Meanwhile some of us are still using the good old CRT x-ray generator...

I still have a 36" CRT, but it is too heavy to move out of the basement.

My wife bought the 50" 4K Bolva for the bedroom, on sale for $180 CAD.

      Costco ftw.

  22. Justin Trudeau, the big mouth high-school student who became PM couldn't behave himself at NATO dinner, or whatever. Always needs to be the centre of attention at parties, this boy.

@OftenWrong I almost feel sorry for him.  He has exaggerated need to be liked.  I think that’s one of the reasons for his self inflicted massive deficits by choice.  He wants to play Santa Claus and have people like him.  I can only imagine what Chrétien and Martin think of his policy of debt.

Attention whore is another word for it. Let's not sugar coat these things. And let's hope the boy hasn't done even more damage to Canada- US relations, with his ineloquent and contemptuous diatribes.

Other world leader idiots you mean, BubberMiley. Mr. Harper was certainly out of their league.

  23. On the other hand, today we see what unbridled liberal progress has done to us.
  24. He was only there for public relations, eh BubberMiley?
