What's wrong with the criminal justice system
Canuck E Stan replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Argus, The Liberals are begining to take seriously what danger the bad guys pose to "ordinary citizens": Bail denied for Montreal man -
Eueka, You're becoming more Liebral as the days go on.
-
It appears now that Goody Goodale and his crew didn't leak the news but it was done by someone in the PMO's office. Was it Paul? Globe and Mail
-
Eureka, You said you couldn't support Layton,so you were going Liberal. Now your not supporting the Libs. Who now,the Greens?
-
Forget the pittance you claim that the GST reduction will do for the foodbanks, where has your Federal Government been the past 12 years to resolve some of this problem. Don't give me the Conservative government /Harris government was the cause....12 years to solve some of this problem with surplus after surplus and nothing done by the Liberals. The only change is the number of recipients to the foodbanks getting larger. The GST reduction was not labeled as a solution to foodbanks as you want it to be. Open your wallet and give if your that concerned, your Liberal government seems to care less about your concern for foodbanks or it's recipients. Eureka,as for kids in sports, your ideas have long passed the expiry date. Today's kids don't want your sports of yesterday.

Hey T-Bagger, I doubt you can back up this "greatly reduced stuff" you claim. Safety standards for workers are better today than they ever have been.

Another insulting Liberal blog.

Toronto Star No mention by the Star in this article about Emerson comment. Not newsworthy? Emerson's wife like Layton's is of Asian descent. -
Do you actually think the government won't require the same for their daycare centres? Expect only qualified government trained licenced people to run and inspect each and every centre the government has in place. Your wife will need to be re-trained and re-educated to government standards. How many centres do you think will be needed in each large urban city.Hundreds? Thousands? Each will have to have a fully qualified government staff. It will become a boondoggle type gun registry except for kids. It will be more about running the place than taking care of the children. And don't expect it to be in place for years.

Dear Hornest Politician, Your ignorance of child rearing is showing through. You DO NOT have children, therefore you DO NOT know why parents raise THEIR children as they do. Better stay away from this issue, you are beyond the slightest comprehension of child rearing.

Blubber, You obviously don't have a 15 year old child.I do.
-
Man killed at busy California mall A 15 year old woman? Canadian press needs to raise their age of adults and keep our children, children.
-
Blubber, An evasion of issues is why after 12 years in government the LIberals have done nothing for the foodbank recipients except make their numbers grow larger. What is the income tax cut that the Liberals are proposing going to do to cut these numbers? Where is the Liberal solution? And as usual the blame goes to the "typical conservative".
-
Eueka, This is a cut for everyone. if your concern is totally for the average foodbank recipient, I suggest two things, 1. Do something to reduce the number of recipients,(which the Liberals have done nothing) 2. Start making larger personal donations to help these poor folks out.Maybe even volunteer your time at the foodbank.

Grocery store in St. John's latest to serve up medical care What a novel approach. If we could only convince our local garage mechanic to become a medical doctor....or maybe our vet..
-
What about former Manitoba Premier and Canadian Governor General Ed Schreyer. His views(right wing?) on SSM go against the grain of NDP thought. If he was in Parliament during the SSM vote he would have been booted from the party just as Desjarlais was in rejecting the party line. Now that issue has not become important to Layton. Or how about his ranting at Klien just last week, about healthcare(again) telling him to butt out. Always Alberta, but not a word towards BC's Campbell and Quebec's Charest ,where there is far more private healthcare than in Alberta, and a better chance of more votes. The party is after votes and their principles don't count when getting votes come into play.

How low will the Liberals stoop?
Canuck E Stan replied to Montgomery Burns's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Liberal exec resigns after blog comment Executive Vice-President of the Federal Liberal(Ontario wing) was only a volunteer and did not play an official role for the Liberals during this election campaign. Huh? -
I think you pretty well answered your own question.

...and that's why it is important to get an elected Senate for proper regional representation.

Harper: The new height of hypocrisy
Canuck E Stan replied to lenwick's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Lenwick, Couldn't wait til after Christmas with the negative Harper campaign could you? Ontario is slowly turning to Harper, and January 23 will tell the tale. Desperate Liberals turn to negative, personal attacks when they have nothing substantial to offer the voters. It won't work this time. Change to ineffective government is coming. -
People Shouldn't Be Allowed to run in a Riding
Canuck E Stan replied to Rovik's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
With the Greens it's about getting your $1.75 for each vote they get. Without a candidate they get nothing. Any candidate will get some $$$ for their cause, because there are those that will vote for the Greens for whatever reason, including a protest vote. -
Federal Political Humour
Canuck E Stan replied to Canuck E Stan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
CHET...The December Holiday Parrot One day Stephen Harper decided to go to a pet store and get Paul Martin a chicken for that special holiday in December that Paul doesn't like to mention. He knew if he got Paul a chicken, Paul would understand what that meant, and decided this would be the perfect gift for him. So Stephen goes to the pet store and asks the manager if he has anything special in the way of chickens. The manager tells him that in fact he doesn't have any chickens, but he does have a bird named Chet who sings. Harper is very interested and asks to see Chet. The manager brings him over to a beautiful bird and tells Harper that this is Chet. Stephen asks what is so special about him and the manager tells him that Chet can sing, and that he'll show him. The manager then takes a cigarette lighter out of his pocket and lights it a few inches underneath Chet's right foot. Chet begins to sing, "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way..." Harper says that it was great and asks, "Does Chet sing anything else?" So the manager then lights his lighter under Chet's left foot, and Chet begins to sing, "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know..." Now Harper is very impressed, he decides to forget about getting Paul the chicken and decides that a nice gesture would be to give Paul this bird. So he buys Chet. He sends the bird and a note about the bird to Paul as a December holiday gift. Paul is shocked at recieving the gift but is very happy and says the bird is beautiful. Martin calls his wife Sheila and tells her what the bird can do. Watch this says Paul,"the bird can sing", and he takes his lighter and lights it beneath Chet's right foot, and Chet begins to sing, "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way..." Sheila is thrilled and asks if he can do anything else. Paul then lights the lighter under Chet's left foot and Chet begins to sing, "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know..." Now Sheila is overwhelmed and asks, "What would happen if you put the lighter under both of his feet at the same time?" Paul says that he doesn't know, but they could try it. So Paul puts the lighter under both feet and Chet begins to sing, "Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire...." -
Hockey, Olympics, Quebec, Bertuzzi
Canuck E Stan replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I don't follow hockey that much but,is Bertuzzi really that much better of a player than some of the others not selected or has all the media attention he has gotten over the last couple of years just made him more " in the public's face"? Is it the same with Heatly? Is their choice on the team because of over exposer?
