Canuck E Stan replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Another Liberal Party scandal?! This is from a conservative blog. But the blogger does have some questions being asked in question period back then. But these are questions that should be answered. -

tml12 Ask him about Layton wanting to Legalize Marijuana on Pot TV, but he didn't ask the NDP if they thought it was a good idea? Or the fact tht he drives a foreign made car and not a union brother built one. -
Martin's education plan After making promise after same promise, election after election,it just doesn't wash anymore. So much for Martin getting the student vote.

RCMP looking at scandal II
Canuck E Stan replied to Canuck E Stan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Globe and Mail He was Martin's aid in Finance. Will Martin claim that he didn't know anything about Dauphin and Opions like he did with Adscam?, or like he didn't know what Goodale's decision on the income trust was? Are supporters of Martin just thick or do they just have their heads buried to deep in the sand, or both? -
RCMP are at it again this time with the missing $4.8 million from 1995. Mounties Eye Another Referenum Handout Not looking good for Martin.

Trying to start a new party
Canuck E Stan replied to LabourPartyCanada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Labour Party? About time someone thought about banding together Unionized Pregnant Women. -
Maybe this is the way to get the turn-out. Countries which have some form of compulsory voting Might get some interest in the politics of your country too.

Wasting time replying? At work? I would never do something like that at work.... ....maybe it has something to do with not having a computer.

January 2,2006 Martin tries to hit campaign re-set button "The effort began early Monday, when Martin began a series of interviews with nine major news organizations. It carried on into the afternoon when he repeated his tightly scripted message at a campaign event" "This is a very different government than the previous government, in terms of the way we approach child care is an example." When it was pointed out national child care was a promise in the 1993 Liberal platform, Martin bridled. The whole article is full of Martin one liners.

Federal Political Humour
Canuck E Stan replied to Canuck E Stan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
A Chauffeur was taking a civil examination and was asked: "Did you ever, or do you presently belong to an organization that is trying to overthrow the government in Ottawa?" To the shock of the examiner, the applicant replied,"Yes." "You did! What is that organization?" asked the examiner. "The Conservative party." -
PUBLIC FORESEES GLOOMY 2006 If Martin is hoping to convince voters to vote Liberal because of the great economic situation in Canada ,it looks like he'll have to do a lot of convincing in Ontario. The public in Ontario doesn't feel it's that hot. So any positive "we're the reason it's boomin'" campaign the LIberals are thinking about might just have to go negative in Onatrio just to win votes. Looks like the Liberals are between a rock and a hard place.

Who Will Be In Power on January 23rd?
Canuck E Stan replied to SamStranger's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Sam, You missed one. NDP/Liberal Minority There's talk that a coalition between the two of them could go this way even if the Conservatives have more seats than the Liberals. -
Pocket, Grew up in Sudbury, went to Wembley Public School, the Prospect was(is)across from the Railway station downtown(Elgin Street?)down from the Lido Hotel. In those days draught went up from 10 cents to 15 cents, boy was I mad. Cheers. (mouth open to input beer)
-
Let's see,a Liberal, pretending to be a Green, changing his vote for Liberals, pretending that the reason to vote Liberal is based on a forum that you think is 1/2 full of conservatives.....now that's really priceless. Try voting on issues that are relevant in your life.
-
Pocket, If I had 15 Cents I'd buy you a draught at the Prospect Hotel. They still are 15 cents there aren't they? And as Red Green would say, "Remember,we're all in this together" Happy New Year to one and all.
-
Honest, And that pertains to all the voters.
-
Martin is the last of his generation in Ottawa. It's time for younger blood, a leader that can feel the pulse of the Canadian voter much better than what Martin has done. A fresh face for the Liberals will do wonders for the party after they begin to rebuild on January 24th.

How many separatists lurk in CPC?
Canuck E Stan replied to BubberMiley's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Check with Scott Reid's blog or Mike Klander's.Maybe even Liberal MP Emerson's. If you can't find it there, maybe check the PMO's office. They know everything before everyone else find's out, and if it's worth anything you'll get it first. -
After 12 years of Liberal arrogance and distain for all Canadians , it just sort of begins to brush off.
