  1. I do not believe a damn thing China says. Get me some proof Spanky.11 million. Pretty ambitious. That is a hell of a line up. Kind of like Tim Horton's before the quarantine.

  2. That's only the tip of the iceberg. This just in, estimated 80,000 cancer cases in the US are undiagnosed. Distress hotline calls are 100 x normal. Spikes in overdose and suicide deaths, as mental health services aren't available.

  5. Your whining here is simply not based in, logic, considering the fact that I had only treated you respectfully and cordially as of the moment, I repeat, as of the moment you came to coSign this thread the other day. So once again you look like a deranged Dem in here right now by trying to apply my exposing you, only a few hours ago, to your antagonizing "Like" you placed here many hours ago. Plus you concluded with tongue in cheek antics just now, by facetiously liking all of my posts ---then topped that off with a comment about how I should appreciate your stupid antics. tsk tsk You are gravely, confused, about how Life works once you make a conscious decision to instigate some nonsense.

  6. No. The first case was December 11 in China. The French case you're talking about was December 27. https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/heal-the-mind-heal-the-body/202005/was-covid-19-already-in-france-last-december 14 patients were tested. They had flu like symptoms but tested negative for flu. One was an Algerian immigrant whose son had experienced similar symptoms but had not been hospitalized. He was the only one of the 14 who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. The French team of Deslandes and Cohen published their results in the International Journal of Antimicrobial agents in early May. They cautioned: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0924857920301643 However they believe they took necessary precautions in hopes of avoiding a false negative.

  7. lol @ this nonsense ... You must certainly be a Dem! ... You did something super immature here, by running here to coSign an offensive thread which seeks to intentionally antagonize other members ---but then when you get called out, you reply with "Grow up..." man0man you are one confused individual for sure

  9. put a "Like" on the OP = esteemed fools who're stalking my account, appreciated some troll's post about me, coSigned antagonizing narcissists who I oft irk, "Liked" a juvenile delinquent's remarks about me. Now, be fair, and just accept what I made sure came along with your unwise decision I have no control over your hallucinations in here.

  10. Use deductive reasoning: I've never posted flagrant remarks at you on this website, ever, and I have always engaged you on-topic about specific issues yes plus I have always been cordial. Yet for some reason, when @Rue and other hurt-hearted creeps, celebrated this suicidal thread? You ran here to coSign these creeps. ... skinny: You are exactly sure of what my point is

  11. I can not and do not disagree with what you suggest. I just want the tracking done in a way that won't be abused for non medical reasons. I think the reality is individual rights are going to be taken away in the name of public policy, i.e., the health protection of all...so I am very very wary of that..I do concede early testing and tracking is required in the maintenance and prevention of any illness.

  13. Governments in these countries provided consent not the people. They based that consent on an imbalanced relationship and weakness. China is as much a colonialist exploiter of the world as anyone else and worse in the sense they do not invest in the countries they engage in exchanges with-they create huge trade deficits and debts in their favour.

  18. Judging by the level of rhetoric coming from USA, some of it well founded, you'll now see a "sea-change" in attitude toward globalism and multi-culti. This is coming from the grass roots itself, driven by that most powerful political engine fear. The other has been identified. What is happening today is unprecedented, never before in history. I keep saying that. Not just one industry, one economy, one country. When that happens you still have other industries that are going strong that act as a buffer. Now of course all industries, all economies, all countries. You will see an reversal in consumer's attitude toward buying global versus local, and it needs no political argument to justify. Back to my first point whither goes US there must go Canada. Thank god for that too.

  19. I suspect that evolution will take care of the new strain of human who thinks that they're smarter than medical experts. BTW you posted the disinformation meme graphic TWICE in the post. Do you even know where it came from? A naive person wouldn't answer, or wouldn't know...

  24. Abruptly stopping, no. Abruptly working towards stopping, yes. It only makes sense to make changes like that for anything that involves our national security. We must be more self-sufficient. Globalism is a failure. Now let us not fall into the same stupidity as though we might expect a different outcome. You know what that means. Insanity

  25. One explanation for the liquor stores to remain open, is to prevent the hospitals being overrun by alcoholics going into withdrawal. Which presents a different issue, we are a bunch of drunks! The rest of the stores, could have closed. Pot shops can go online and do deliveries easy. I did not really understand the need to postpone certain surgeries. Many can be life saving.

  26. "They" also say that some people have serious covid-related side-effects, even if they had a mild case or didn't know they had it. "They" also say that there can be long-term health effects from Covid; they may even be lifelong and life-altering, if SARS and MERS are any indication.

  27. I am inclined to agree with @Rue on this one ... this 'time of peril' is limited; if we voluntarily consent to government monitoring even for "contact tracing", that opens a door, permanently. We are already monitored enough. Rather than government monitoring our movements, individuals can do what is necessary to keep themselves and others safe. If people fail to practice safety guidelines, they can be fined. That at least targets risky individuals for government action, instead of everybody.

  29. it's just not good enough anymore. What you advocate is to continue on the same path that brought us to this point. We should not do trade with a country that is not really a partner in good faith, and Chinese demonstrate that pretty clearly. Chinese state media outlets issued a threat that they would withhold medicine and PPE. Quick google search. There are other links showing this. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/coronavirus-china-us-drugs-trump-rubio-china-virus-xinhua-hell-epidemic-a9400811.html You got that? Strategic control. Now returning to my earlier question, please explain how rich people are like the country China.

  30. 1. It's kind of irrelevant unless you are looking to either blame someone, or if you believe that it was a conspiracy. We generally don't say "The US caused the 2008 housing crisis THEREFORE NO AMERICAN COMPANY SHALL BENEFIT FROM IT". In fact, it's the opposite. We bail out and reward companies who are complicit in some cases. 2. Welcome to capitalism, I guess. 3. "Not a hope in hell" is your opinion. I already said I don't care to argue but I have tired eyes for any argument that says we are faced with an obvious choice that governments refuse to take. 4. No idea. Fentanyl is a separate issue. 5. I have heard your arguments before, and always from NDPers but ok.

  31. Much better off. The West would be more united. The US response to the virus would have been far better organized. The US would probably have appointed ambassadors to all kinds of countries by now which Trump never got around to, and wouldn't be letting China and Russia extend their influence throughout the world without challenge. I mean, there is a reason Putin and Russia wanted Trump instead of Clinton. If you're going to tell people to do research if they want to be taken seriously you shouldn't do it on a topic which demonstrates you did no research. For you'll not be taken seriously.

  35. Another trite comment. There are indeed government agencies that monitor civilians. There are indeed major businesses that monitor your behaviour. The reasons as to who gets monitored and why are not always known to you if ever. Your ignorance as to who surveilled you is your choice. You choose not to see and be smug about it. You welcome state control over us all because you choose to not see the history of the world that shows what happens when people take their freedom for granted and are willing to give it up based on a fear they have been fed.

  36. Without a doubt the most moronic thread on the board in a while. Please continue. Not one of you state totalitarians have provided anything but your subjective desire to control all of us because you believe a virus justifies it. You show a complete ignorance of history and how easy it us for some of you to turn into dickhead fascists without a damn thought given to the implications of your trite comments.

  39. ...hmmmm... Out of the many MLW Narcissists who I irk, with poli-Facts, only four (4) of you bothered to show here for Rue's roll call??? Also, I can't get trolled if you all delete your accounts lol since you clearly cannot login without losing self-control whenever you assist my daughter @Rue with stalking my account via you all's nonsense posts and you all's "likes" legion. You all know that each of you are dead in the water, on the political issues here, so your forlorn has caused you to resort to juvenile delinquent posts.

  42. You are a Dem, therefore you hate honesty and and you loathe the truth. You are biased against, North America, therefore you support the Dem party as you login to epitomize the idea of biased titles outside on the same topic ---I merely neutralized your strategy here, is all.

  43. Exactly. Plus I don't think people should be allowed to login here, with their low self-esteem issues, and take them out on those of us who post here on-topic in ways which the low self-esteemers cannot contend with. Since they are too, immature, to simply "ignore [or] do not respond" to scholarship that they don't appreciate ---then they need to delete their accounts, and go see a psychiatrist ... instead of login here daily to burden us with their narcissism.

  45. We can choose neither. Just because Trump is standing up to China doesn't mean he isn't a disaster of a human being and an even worse president. If Trump hadn't burned so many bridges around the world leading up to this, he wouldn't be such a pariah and folks in Canada, Europe etc might actually listen to him. International leaders can't trust him or his intentions. He's so dishonest, petty and mercurial that all anyone can hope to do is stay out of his way and not provoke a tantrum. Donald Trump has thrown American diplomacy back decades and China's influence will have grown immensely after his presidency is done (hopefully this year). The vacuum that US has left behind on rational world leadership is going to get filled somewhere.
