  1. Our governments and health authorities are being grossly irresponsible by perpetuating the fear over a virus that is close to endemic and poses a low risk to those who aren’t eligible for vaccines. Why are taxpaying citizens footing the bill for all the restrictions and accepting such a curtailment of freedom? They aren’t publicizing the level of risk. They aren’t trusting people’s judgement. They aren’t supporting a return to normalcy because they themselves don’t want to work or face accountability.

  2. Hey, Maryam - being the MINISTER for GENDER EQUALITY - why don't you plead to your Taliban brothers to not scrap...................... but instead, to continue with the gender equality program that had been started in Afghanistan? We should send you as an envoy to them. When Taliban shot Malala in the head, this is what she did. 3. And my Liberal stronghold has NDP signs everywhere. I get the point about Ontario and Quebec but we're looking at a Liberal minority at best I think.

  4. Oh man...why did you say that? Now I've gotta do it. I'm not supposed to do it, but I've got to do it. Apparently what I'm going to show you is not a dead on, useful comment on exactly what you're talking about. It's a cartoon and I'm not allowed to show you such a cogent, dead on commentary. Ah, what the Hell...I'm going to show it to you anyway and take my lumps:

  5. I’d like to see him order the military to re-occupy Bagram airbase. Continue evacuating there, because it’s a much more secure and defensible position. And threaten that if the Taliban or anyone else approaches the airbase, he’ll turn the country into glass.

  6. People have the right to live normal lives, make their own judgement without infusion of fear and arbitrary, unproven and not supported by objective and verifiable evidence restrictions. People have the right to honest, current and accurate information, free of interference and manipulation. People have the right to hold all and any authority accountable, including meaningful, detailed and complete explanation and justification of any decision(s) that affect them. Having paid for it, people have the right for a public health care system that can provide the best treatment on the global level, in case of need.

  7. Maybe just maybe the people who are hired to create methods and make decisions on these matters actually follow a plan of action, vs reaction. It's not like we are paying billions for these decisions The medical community, governing bodies and "professionals" have made decisions that are not in the best interest of the public, something many professional fields would consider professional misconduct.

  8. Tell you what...while you're waiting here's something you hadn't considered, you can kill a little time considering. August 25, 2021 The Good News—A COVID-19 Update Let’s look at the good news that can calm our fears about COVID-19. There’ll be time at a later date to look at the bad and the ugly of the resolving pandemic. 1) Globally, the survival rate for COVID-19 is 99.8%. Under the age of 70, the survival rate for COVID-19 is 99.97%. This is on par with many influenza seasons. Americans younger than 70 do not have to fear COVID-19 any more than influenza and we know how to protect the elderly. 2) Herd immunity for the alpha strain is here. Sixty-seven percent of the American population have had at least one COVID-19 vaccination. The official number of cases is about 10% of the population, but several antibody studies show that the percentage of those with natural immunity is 4-6 times higher. Dr. Marty Makary, a Johns Hopkins professor, estimates that 80-85% of the population is immune from natural immunity and vaccination. Those who deny this must explain how cases and deaths started to decline in January way before there was a significant vaccine effort. COVID-19 will not go away. Instead, we are transitioning now from a pandemic to endemic status and, indeed, some eminent virologists say vaccinating in the middle of a pandemic is making herd immunity more difficult to obtain through the creation of variants. 3) The average age of death from COVID is 78. The average life expectancy in America is 78. This is not to say, “Don’t worry, only old people are dying of COVID-19.” However, this fact should direct and inform our policies to protect the elderly especially. Children and those under age 70 are at much lower risk. 4) Early outpatient treatment should be adopted immediately for COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine works. Ivermectin works. It has been estimated 85% of COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented were these medicines used early. America’s Frontline Doctors have an excellent compilation of research. The cost of these treatments is $1/day. A new IV treatment, REGEN-COV, has been approved for early use in COVID-19. Don’t wait to see if you will get sick. Treat early. 5) Children are safe from COVID-19 and don’t spread the virus either. A study in the UK showed that the survival rate in children is 99.995%. In the U.S. 335 children have died since the start of the pandemic. A study done by Johns Hopkins and FAIR Health showed that all of the children that died from April 2020 to August 2020 had immune problems or were chronically ill. In that period not one healthy child died. Children have more chance of dying in a car wreck, unintentional drug overdose, or influenza than from COVID-19. Vaccination for healthy children is not needed. 6) Sweden did not have a lockdown or mask mandate and did better with cases and deaths than many countries. Lockdown did not work and had serious cultural and economic side effects. There is ample literature now to show that masks, as we are using them, do not work. 7) Persons who have had COVID-19 infection have a robust and long-lasting immunity. This immunity also is likely to protect against variants. As evidence continues to accumulate that the new mRNA vaccines are neither as effective nor safe as advertised, I would advise not getting the vaccine on top of your natural immunity if you had the COVID-19 infection. 8) There is very little, if any, spread of COVID-19 from asymptomatic persons. This lie was spread early to maximize fear of this new virus. COVID-19 is like other respiratory viral infections—you catch it from being around someone who has symptoms. Like other viral infections, if you are sick stay home, quarantine yourself, and treat yourself. We do not need to quarantine the asymptomatic healthy. 9) The death rate nationally for COVID-19 has been going down since January. Breathless “news” reporters talk about cases, hospital occupation, and contagiousness but never mention the death decline. There has been a small uptick in deaths in some areas over the last week, but not anywhere close to last winter. (There will be some variations in the death rate as we transition to endemic status) 10) The Delta variant is acting like a typical historical virus variant. Typically, variants happen all the time and are more contagious but less deadly. Initial reports show that this is likely true with Delta. A UK report states the Delta variant is likely 20 times less deadly than the alpha strain, but that more data needs to be collected. The media constantly mentions that delta is more contagious which is also true. Other Greek variants are likely to behave in the same fashion. We do not need to be afraid of COVID-19 anymore. Let’s begin to end the hysteria and fear. The worst is over and we are transitioning to endemic status which means a low level of cases and deaths." https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/08/the_good_newsa_covid19_update.html

  9. Doing the right thing isn’t always popular. People generally seek the path of least resistance, which is why our politicians vacillate in their positions with the media coverage. Not admirable.

  10. This CTV journalist named KEVIN GALLAGHER must be hard of hearing. He kept badgering O'Toole about what specifics O'Toole would've done now about operational procedures in Afghanistan, if he were the PM. O'Toole had clearly stated that Trudeau had acted soooooo slowly, even when he was informed and warned months or even years before to act! Gallagher can't seem to put one and one together - and couldn't connect the dots! He make it seem like O'Toole was evading and not giving any answers! HE DID ANSWER YOU! It's just that.....O'Toole's answer went over your head, Kevin. ? Had O'toole been the PM - it wouldn't have come to this! THAT'S THE POINT! THIS SITUATION WE'RE IN NOW WAS PREVENTABLE! O'Toole would've listened and acted upon it pronto. That's why he's pointing at Trudeau's INACTION! DOH! Lol. This situation is preventable! It was because Trudeau didn't pay attention that's why we have this dire situation trying to get Canadians and Afghan allies! As usual, Trudeau reacted too late!

  11. Here's an interesting one for Argus who likes to present a week of stats from Ontario and present them as proof of something applicable to the entire world for the end of time and for Citizen who likes to give him digital tongue baths of Kudos for his online creation of pictographs for the week. At the beginning of the month Florida was peaking with between 187 to 189 Daily Deaths. Since that time DeSantis has made the antibody treatment available to Floridians that cured Trump. In the last three days daily deaths have fluctuated between 9 and 1.

  12. No I didn't research the actual rate of exclusions, there's a list of conditions they ask you about before vaccination though, it appeared to me as reasonably rare but the number is an educated guess, based on prevalence of other rare conditions.

  13. Vaccinated people are much LESS likely to get sick, therefore much LESS likely to be shedding any viruses.

  14. A question for Biden supporters here: Has Joe Biden met or exceeded your expectations? Has he not met your expectations? I don't like Biden at all but to date he is pretty much what I expected him to be. He doesn't seem to have much of a grasp on anything. He's a disaster without a teleprompter and slightly less so with one at hand. His constant exaggerations are kind of amusing but scary at the same time since he's the actual President.

  15. Why would we have ourselves to blame? If anyone is to blame, it would be the governing bodies. It is up to the governing bodies to make decisions in the best interest of the public, not individual citizens.

  18. I thought that she said there was no way they will ever have a vaccine passport in BC. No vaccine passports in B.C's future: Dr. Bonnie Henry May 25, 2021 Vaccine passports aren’t something B.C.’s top doctor sees in this province’s future. “This virus has shown us that there are inequities in our society that have been exacerbated by this pandemic, and there is no way that we will recommend inequities be increased by the use of things like vaccine passports for services with public access here in British Columbia,” provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said. She said that it’s her view, but it also has support from the Premier, the health minister and others. “I do think it will be something that will be necessary to support international travel,” she said. “That is something we're working with our colleagues at the Public Health Agency at the federal level to make sure that Canadians have access to travel in the same way that other countries do as well. But it would not be my advice that we have any sort of vaccine passport within British Columbia.” I was actually impressed with this when I first read it, but not at all surprised that she has since changed her tune. That';s how they do things, see. First a nice-sounding lie, then later explain how they just gotta do it for a little while you know, until things get better. Once they've got that in there is when the heavy pounding really starts.

  19. The virus isn't going away. Attempts at purity will fail. People are suffering from restrictions in ways that we still haven't grasped. It's going to be another terrible school year for elementary, secondary, and post-secondary students. Assessment standards have collapsed. Children and young adults are being robbed of a social life and decent education. Some students are deferring or dropping out. Vaccinated elderly people are prisoners in their homes. Businesses are struggling. People cannot talk to each other inside a bar or restaurant because they cannot see each other's faces and they are segregated with screens between them. There is no dancing. Travel is mostly domestic. People are continuing to have virtual meetings and work from home while leased offices sit empty. This was unhealthy a year ago. I can't imagine this scenario going into winter. You can't even see a doctor face to face without spending a half day in hospital. No, there's simply no justification for this. I don't respect Trudeau, O'Toole, Ford, or any of our gutless leaders who are talking around the most significant issues. Stop restrictions immediately. They're unjustified. The vast majority of vaccine-eligible people are vaccinated. The ineligible have a lower chance of death from Covid than the flu. Governments must end restrictions and have a public information campaign encouraging people to return to normalcy. People are losing the ability to cope. They can't hold down jobs. They don't know how to talk to people. People are suffering serious mental health problems, addiction, and other non-Covid health problems.

  20. Here in BC, globalist comrade Bonnie Henry is back. As of Sept. 13, anyone who is not vaccinated will not be allowed to live and enjoy their lives anymore. If someone is not vaccinated they will not be allowed to enter sports events, casinos, restaurants, concerts and other venues. The non vaccinated will be forced to stand outside and only be able to look inside. Just like in communist countries. If one is not a member of the communist party and pay their dues, then they are treated like second class scum. Welcome to communist Canada. Who would have ever thought that in just two years, Canada would become a communist country? Just when I thought that we had finally got rid of all of the BC covid emergency act nonsense, the biotch has brought it back again. I said and knew that this was going to happen. Just wait until fall gets here. Apparently, the biotch Henry could not wait until the fall. She had to do it right now or piss her globalist panties waiting. Impatient girl indeed. Now my biggest thrill in life will be a days trip to the grocery store or Walmart. This is discrimination par excellence and will be accepted and allowed here in BC. Why don't our traitorous politicians just tear up the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in front of us all and be done with it. They do hate freedom loving Canada, don't you know. Who ever thought that we would ever see the day in Canada where there would be two sets of class people. The vaccinated and the non vaccinated. This has now become a war between those lying comrade globalist politicians and their lying in bed with the MSM and we the people. Who will win in the end? I have to hope it will be the latter. ?

  21. O'Toole actually surprised me the other day with his explanation about supporting Safe Injection sites. His explanation (aimed at traditional conservatives), about COMPASSION towards those addicted.................... had me questioning myself! And, I ended up reluctantly agreeing with him! I mean.....he has a way of talking and reaching out! He's coming across as a very likeable and practical guy! Even with his healthcare policy about letting provinces decide what they want. I mean, what's so hard to figure that private healthcare facilities help shorten the waiting period? If folks can afford to pay for their care (and they don't want to wait in a line-up) - let them leave the line up and let them go to the other place! That helps lessen the load for our own universal healthcare system. What's so hard to understand about that? Because.....these people who keep complaining about it (like Trudeau) - aren't really doing it for the sake of the people. They refuse to see the practicality in it, and instead, using the issue for politics! Just this pandemic - Many seniors and many people died under TRUDEAU's watch! Our healthcare system has failed under Trudeau's watch! How many people with cancer had died, or have been doomed to die because of Canada being unprepared - and SLOW TO ACT - during the onset of this pandemic? Hospitals were full! Medical care for other illness, and surgeries were postponed indefinitely! Remember the premiers complaining on tv during the pandemic, that what Trudeau had promised to give to help their healthcare system wasn't enough? Remember that? These all happened under Trudeau's watch! They knew the problem even before the pandemic! He's had 6 years! It's only O'Toole who's saying it as it is! Folks - give this guy a chance. Listen to what he's saying.

  22. Trump's a businessman. People like that aren't afraid of brainstorming sessions (little known fact - a liberal brainstorming session is called a tempest in a teapot). Is your 'killer line' about Trump really just to bring up the detergent thing? That's literlly 1/1,000,000,000,000th as bad as Obama leaving behind an arsenal for a group of genocidal bigots. The birther movement wasn't 'racist'. There are hundreds of millions of white people born outside of the US and none of them are allowed to become POTUS. That's a CNN narrative which hooked millions of incredibly stupid and worthless people but it has no basis in fact. In January when Trump was already fighting covid, and when he was already a step ahead of the WHO by realizing that banning incoming flights from covid hotspots was a smart thing to do, leftists were completely ignoring covid. In the next month and a half while Trump was still taking concrete and effective actions to fight covid, leftist poiticians were giving the worst advice possible or doing nothing at all, like Trudeau. Pelosi made a point of going into a massive crowd in Chinatown and hugging strangers. Is that what you call brilliant, Galloway? I knew it was idiotic at the time, but now, armed with the benefit of hindsight, do you understand that hugging groups of strangers during a pandemic was bad? Do you understand that, Galloway? DeBlasio was telling NYers to "Ride the subway and eat in restaurants like normal". I know that's meaningless to you, so let me spell it out: the NYC subway was an epidemiologist's worst nightmare. It's a very confined space mixing 4.3 million people per day and spreading them out across a city with 11M people. Trudeau was telling Canadians not to wear masks, he said that covid wouldn't get here, and he jumped on the bandwagon of saying that "banning flights is RACIST!" He did literally nothing for a month and a half while covid was pouring into our country. Not one single thing, aside from things that were actually really stupid, that's it. He gave away all of our PPE to China. Got Crap back. He ordered vaxx from China instead of the US, China's vaxxes were shit so he had to get in the back of the line for Trump's US vaxxes, and then he couldn't wait so he had to poach vaxxes from the 3rd world charity pool. As a country, we were just watching everyone else fight covid while our chickenshit PM bumbled around in his basement fucking everything up. We have the 40th-highest population in the world, we are 189th-highest in population density, our busiest airport ranks 20th in North America, and yet somehow we were in the top ten countries to hit 10,000 covid deaths. As a country, we did not do one single thing to actually fight covid until the middle of March. On the same day that we finally stopped letting the virus in from Wuhan (even the Chinese gov't had stopped letting flights from Wuhan go to Shanghai and Beijing months earlier), we stopped letting people walk outside in parks. t was stupidity on steroids. FYI Trump was head and shoulders above Trudeau, Pelosi, and every other leftist politician in NA in fighting covid, and there's literally no excuse for you to still be completely oblivious to that fact. Your post doesn't refute anything. All it does is highlight Trump's enormous success, so thanks for that. Holy drank-the-Kool-Aid Batman, that's one of the most wildly idiotic and unsupported claims in the history of the internet. You're clearly a victim of leftist propaganda, and I don't blame you for watching our state broadcaster, but you need to start actually thinking for yourself about what you see on TV. It doesn't take genius-level thinking to realize that stopping flights from covid hotspots is the right thing to do. Conversely, keeping flights pouring in from Wuhan, just to prove that you're not racist, is the epitome of stupidity, especially when even the Chinese gov't was blocking travel from Wuhan. Every country that fought covid successfully did that. Trump did that, directly against the advice of the WHO. It turns out that Trump was right and all leftists are really stupid. The fact that you couldn't figure that out for yourself is telling, but if you don't understand it now then there's no hope for you. In case you're keeping score, you've never made a single claim or cited a single source which shows Trump actually bungling covid, you just watched thousands of opinion pieces and forged an opinion based on all of that hot air. You've got literally nothing at all of value to add to the conversation of covid aside from your own feelings. That's pathetic.
